Gambarie is a small town in Parco Nazionale dell’Aspromonte. The hotel is a 5 minute walk, from the centre of town,set in a peaceful location. The staff are customer driven, willing to create a ‘Calabrian’ experience, friendly yet remain professional. The buffet style breakfast has many options. Dinner is recommended for local choices - delicious. The service was excellent, very clean rooms ( great showers). and common areas. The big swimming pool a bonus!

We stayed just for 2 nights sadly. If we return back to that region again we’ll stay longer for sure. An Immaculate service. A Huge and clean room. Beds are top comfy. Don’t want to wake up. A Huge and fab territory. Awh! And the swimming pool!!! The best! Our children couldn’t believe their happiness. It was spacious, very clean and almost without people. A Grand piano on the reception. We were kindly allowed to play. Breakfast - for the first morning there were not so many things we could choose. So we asked to bring us more. We are a bit demanding because of our diet. But! The next morning we had overwhelming amount of all delicious things we love without individual request. What a service!. The staff were extremely lovely, attentive, kind, caring and hard-working. I left my hat in the swimming pool. And the hotel kindly offered me to send it via post to the another country. I would give it 5 stars hotel. Thanks a lot for your hospitality!

We were so amased by everything! Right in the center with parking place, stunningly eqiuped place, really comfortable, extremely clean, very nice owner. I would suggest it to everyone. A wonderful place to visit with a family. We felt like part of the family. Our kids even got friendly with the local dog which lives in the farm. Kids enjoyed seeing farm animals and walking in the nature and exploring a nearby river. Clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Nice decoration, well maintained. Well working airconditioning. Amazing breakfast with local products and a big choice. Very nice restaurant with a fireplace with home made food and simple menu. We could try oranges straight from the tree - they were delicious! You can buy local products in the store and enjoy them during the breakfast :) you can observe the local diary production during your stay. Surrounded by nature, with amazing views to the mountains and the sea in the distance. Very quiet and idyllic. There was a separate living room/library dowstairs where you could just read the books on the sofas. If we come back to Calabria, we will definitely return to enjoy this heavenily place. We felt pampered enjoying the nature while our kids explored it. You need a car to get there and around.

Really enjoyable stay. Lovely place, great host. Lots of great coffee while looking across the sea from the balcony. Particularly at dawn. Open fire on a cold evening too! We'll be back!
