I loved how friendly and professional the staff were. We were greeted with a welcome drink and cold towel while checking in at the patio outdoor. We booked a superior Double Room with a small balcony over looking the beautiful valley and a Junior Suite which spacious and had a large balcony. The rooms had walk in closets and included all the amenities we could need during our stay. The breakfast is served until 11:30 which allowed us enough time to enjoy a late breakfast on the beautiful terrace and the mesmerizing scenery. Mohammed from the breakfast team was attentive and helpful. The same restaurant also serves dinner in the evening, we had tried it on our first night and the food was probably the best we had in capri. It was such a perfect combination of fresh and clean and old world beauty. Our room looked at Ischias, Mt Vesuvius and all along the Amalfi Coast. We met the owner upon check in who was lovely and welcoming and everything about our stay was perfect. We loved the proximity to walk up into Anacapri and it was always easy to get into Capri town via taxi. The pool area is stunning and the dinner there was over the top incredible. Service was impeccable especially from Laura who checked us in, and everyone made you feel like they were truly happy you were there. Only a couple minutes away from the funicular from the Harbor. Even though it was just off the busy tourist traffic the room was very quiet. Capri is great to explore via taxi, get up early and head up to Ana Capri, less traffic more intimate area. The chair lift is a must to the top of the mountain, and lunch up top of the mountain is amazing. Anacapri is way quieter than Capri.
Anacapri is way quieter than Capri. I see that as a good thing. Anacapri gets busy during the day with all the day trippers... Thanks to the gondola, Blue grotto etc. But once they leave... that's when Anacapri shines. We loved the quiet evenings, the amazing sunsets, the now empty swimming holes... The center of Capri is mostly shopping.
The center of Capri is mostly shopping. We went for a long walk. We enjoyed areas of the island away from the center of town. As soon as we walked away from the tourist shopping, we had the place to ourselves. We saw almost no one. That was a pleasant surprise. We also took the bus to Anacapri. I liked Anacapri better than Capri. Anacapri felt a little more authentic than Capri. I am glad I went to Capri but I don't feel a need to go again.Guest review byKristine2017United States - 10.0

We loved staying in Anacapri for a weekend...away from the mobs in Capri. Beautiful, friendly little town with terrific restaurants. Really nice in the evenings when most of the tourists are gone. We took the chairlift from right in town up to the top of the mountain. It was amazing. We did go down to Capri one day to take it in...then retreated back to Anacapri! We loved being able to walk to the town from our hotel (San Michelle). It was all so beautiful. The hotel staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants, and what to see.
