The location is an old farm villa with some land around it, very well kept, very beautiful and calming. The owners are a very kind couple, extremely well mannered and their breakfast is perfect. The room was nice and fresh, the towels were clean and tidy. I was working on a table in the garden and the Lady brought me water and asked me whether I needed anything else. Both of them very kind and welcoming.

I really loved this hotel. It is our third time staying here it is a pleasure. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant excellent. We were so pleased the room we got was the same one we have stayed in out last two visits. Hopefully next time we can stay longer.

Cassino is a historically rich city, best known for the famous Abbey of Montecassino and the World War II battle sites. It's a great base for exploring the surrounding area — good local restaurants, easy access by car or train, and a calm, authentic Italian atmosphere. Not a tourist hotspot, which is exactly what makes it charming.

We stayed in Fiuggi as our daughter was staying in the same area for her college football tournament. We ate at a few nice restaurants - bistro and GoGo. Would recommend visiting here for an evening meal. There is a bar across from the hotel - lots of different beers to try. Lots of bars and shops in close proximity to each other. Accessible by foot. Supermarket well stocked with lots of basic essentials.

Anagni has everything a visitor could want in a conveniently...

Anagni has everything a visitor could want in a conveniently small package. A wealth of exquisite early Christian frescos, stunning views of mountains wonderful dining, and charming architecture. In addition, there is a strong sense of community and a lack of the commercial exploitation that ruins so many other lovely hill towns. The restaurant run by our hosts , Malacucina, s a perfect example of these sterling qualities. They serve gourmet dishes without fuss or pretence in an atmosphere of homy elegance. We found that the owners were known and esteemed by everyone we talked to in town.

Arpino is my family home.

Arpino is my family home. Parents grew up there so it is a familiar village for myself. It has changed significantly over the last 60 years -lots of small businesses gone. The community spirit still exists in the month of August - lots of events going on. If you want to experience Arpino at night then avoid the week of the Gonfalone. It's madness. So much history in the village as it dates back to Julius Caesar's time. Not for the fainthearted though if you want to explore all the narrow alleys. Views are breathtaking. I will be going back but will book for early August

Really historic and pretty city, walking Lungoliri feels a...

Really historic and pretty city, walking Lungoliri feels a bit like a miniature version of Paris at times. Historic CentroSora, Canceglie, Borgo San Rocco, and gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains. I will visit again. But please, Lord in Heaven, fix the roads in and into/outof the city!

Excellent access by car or public transport to nearby places such as Sora, Arpino, Frosinone, Rome, Caserta and Naples.lf you are interested in history, architecture, good food, dramatic scenery, real taste of Italy then Isola Liri is a fantastic opportunity.

We chose the location because the city was among many other...

We chose the location because the city was among many other places we planned to visit but we could as well just spend the time lazy-making in the hotel area. There are some bars and (probably) more expensive restaurants serving local dishes. Worth mentioning, the hotel cooperates with international gastronomy and enology school next door. As the weather was challenging, we didn't manage to reach every place and we certainly return in the future with the greatest pleasure. The manager in the reception provided us with a handful of information about many other places we could visit, like Basilica Concattedrale di Santa Maria Salome, and other churche . The minuscule city of Veroli is very well maintained, compared to the others nearby. As far as distinctive places, there is a City Museum, and the most important artifact are so called Fasti Verulani - one of the very few original ancient Roman calendar tables done most probabaly at the times of Octavian Augustus' rule. There is also the newly opened Palazzo Marchese just a few steps from the Filonardi palace, where one may find a super informative exhibition concerning ancient peoples living in this part of Lazio before Romans came. In the nearby cities you have medieval frescoes in Anagni cathedral, another megalithic walls (Alatri), Renaissance palace (Trisoli), Cicero's birth place (Arpino).

Cassino exceeded our expectations, with an impressive array of good restaurants, lively streets, and a scenic location surrounded by mid-sized mountains. Monte Cassino and the WWII military history of the area were also worthwhile and informative.

An ideal place to visit the marvels both natural and man made that this hidden area near Rome has to offer. Lush nature, fantastic hills, so many historical places and towns with breathtaking sights at every corner. Great both for families and for those seeking action. If you’re a mountain biker you will absolutely fall in love with the area: tens of kilometers of roads and paths to discover in varying degree of difficulty. In one word: awesome.

WE LOVED THIS TOWN!

WE LOVED THIS TOWN! So Charming--even in off season, we had a great selection of wonderful restaurants, bakeries and bars. The town has a wonderful feel and lots of places to visit. It is also very close to other mediaeval towns that are great day trips. We even got an incredible massage just 15 minutes away in Fiuggi. We want to go back!
