The hotel is new and clean. We had a triple room on the second floor with a balcony offering a wonderful view. The bed was comfortable, with crisp white linens. The breakfast was delicious and had a good selection. The hotel is in a great location, close to many iconic Dolomites sites: Lake Santa Caterina, Lake Misurina, Cortina, Lake Braies and more. We'll definitely be back!

The hotel is run by the owners, who were concerned at all times that our stay was very comfortable... they made us feel at home! The location of the hotel is very convenient for touring the valley and the facilities are perfect. The room was very spacious for my wife and my one-year-old son. The breakfast was incredible, with local hams and cheeses, as well as a variety of typical cakes and strudels; and fresh fruit. If I were to return to the Dolomites, I would definitely come back here!

Its pricy as you only get the room. No svimingpool, spa or other high end hotel services you would expect. But what you do get you cant replace with unnessesary junk. You are visiting the dolomites - go hike! What you need is some really fantastic velmade food from the chef who makes the best carbonara outside rome (he used to work in rome), when you get Home after a day in the mountain. We NEVER eat at the hotel restaurant - but in Cortina this is the best price/value and service. A receptionist who gives you a hug when you pay hotel tax :-) and a smile every we meet, a perfect designed hotel experience in every detail, the most fantastic view in the room and the restaurant, helpfull and friendly Morning staff who gives you advice on where to go depending on the weather and least but not last the dynamic evening duo: Andrea and Roberto. The perfect examples of professional evening hosts. Roberto with his excellent service - at the same time professional and personal - and making things happens and Andrea the magician who made actually professional magic tricks. Impressive and the perfect match enjoying the quality wine list. Just go!

Location was fantastic, near restaurants, public parking (at the bus station) and right at the main shopping street. Big balcony of the room was amazing! Hotel staff (Reception & house keeping) were very friendly and kind. They also gave advice on where to park for free during the low season, saving us €15 per day! The lady also gave us weather advice and to visit Lago Di Braise before it snowed that night! House keeping offered us fresh towels and extra coffee/milk because we've requested for no housekeeping to be done :) Rooms were clean and didn't have any strong odour of cleaning products. You can park in front of the hotel for free to check in and check out your luggages. There is an elevator. There's also a kettle in the room. This is a perfect hotel if you're mainly spending your time outdoors exploring the Dolomiti and not seeking for a resort style hotel with a pool, sauna, etc. Thank you, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Aquila!

There are lot of choices for breakfast, it was very good. Rooms are spacious, warm and very clean. The whole hotel breathes with very friendly atmosphere which makes the staying there truly enjoyable. There is a huge bar where you can sit with your friends and enjoy the evening or afternoon. People are very friendly and helpful, especially Jacopo, the receptionist who was on duty when we arrived. A kind of host that really makes you feel welcome.

Everything. We highly recommand the restaurant (breakfast and dinner also). In addition to an abundant and high-quality appetizer, both main courses was fantastically delicious. The servers were very kind and attentive. In rainy days we can play at the play room with pingpong and biliard, others could swim in the pool. We would love to come back here again! :)

The location is just amazing! I think is the best one to explore Cortina area/ Sorapis/ Tre Cime/ Lake Di Braes/ etc. The service is also great. Everyone was always kind and willing to help. Our room has a wonderful view and the room was super comfortable as well with a nice balcony, hot shower and quiet surroundings. I really recommend this stay!

Cortina is a beautiful mountain village with plenty of services, restaurants, shops on top of the skiing and hiking options. The atmosphere is among the best mountain villages and we have been to many to compare. It still feels very Italian with typical locally owned "bars" that serve exceptional coffee and brioche for breakfast and reasonably priced snacks and drinks in the afternoons and evenings. Free buses to take you to the main ski lifts that operate every 15 minutes and everything else is in easy walking distance.

It was a stopover day between the Dolomites and Venice before flying home. I think we did everything in the town that there was to do in the one day. Walks would have been an option if we stayed longer.

Great base for exploring the Dolomites.

Great base for exploring the Dolomites. Lovely setting with mountains on all sides of the lake which was also very picturesque to stroll around or you could take a pedalo or a rowing boat. Recommended eateries: Quinz and Pizzeria Eidelweiss. Great if you wnat to join the queue for the car park for Tre Cime bright and early to ensure you get in.

Mountains, landscape, stores, everything is amazing. Few but excellent restaurants, fully recommended Antiqua Pizzeria, hidden place with incredible plates, service and prices. Auronzo is a exquisite place where you can find peace and fresh air for a complete soul's renovation.

We chose this place since we were looking for a room with air conditioning near Cortina d'Ampezzo. Boca di Cadora is a very small town , and it takes 15 minutes to get to Cortina D'amezzo , which is a central town and a better choice for day trips in the dolomit area. There was nothing to do in Boca di Cadora in the summer.

The town is so wonderful I would like to die there. The people are exceptionally friendly to travelers. The restaurants—superb. Communication with other locations—efficient. Architecture—here, the alpine style meets the classic Italian. Views—mountains all around.

We had an absolutely perfect experience during our 5-day stay at Garni Civetta, tucked away in the stunning Italian Dolomites. A simple and quaint little Dolomite village on the edge of...

A simple and quaint little Dolomite village on the edge of what used to be Buchenstein in the distant past. The village bar/pizzeria is worth going to, as is the Belvedere Grill and Al Crot in Selva de Cadore. The walking in the area is amazing. The drive to Cortina de Amprezzo over the Passo Giau stunning.

Great location for riding motorbikes.

Great location for riding motorbikes. We found 8 passes in the 2 days we were riding there, including the Sella Pass, 38 km from Cortina. The ride there and back was lovely. The roads were excellent but busy, and at certain times around roadworks, there were a few traffic jams.

Cortina has the best of both worlds.

Cortina has the best of both worlds. Stunning mountain views with easy access to all the lifts to go up the mountains. It also has the glamour of the town centre. With plenty of bars and restaurants.
