This is a wonderful place to stay, enchanting.
This is a wonderful place to stay, enchanting. The people who own and run the castle are very hands on and seem to care very much about what they do - and how they welcome and treat their guests confirms this. Kacy, Anotonio and Martha were all very helpful and welcoming and made every effort to make sure that we were comfortable and had what we needed, including accommodating my dietary needs at the last minute. Our room was lovely too. This is a beautiful castle in a such lovely location. My most impressive memory is watching the sunset in the distance, over the village roof tops, from the castle’s terrace, with glass of wine in hand. Breathtaking. The castle offers dinner occasionally. We had dinner one night and it was very good. There are good places to eat in the village, within walking distance and also a local bar. The Castle offers an honesty bar. Our breakfasts were very good too. We had a lovely stay and would like to think we will return. It is heartening to see people caring so much about what they do and it shows in every aspect of the castle.Guest review byIsobelUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The scenery in this area is beautiful - all villas are very special situation on hillsides with glorious views and tranquility. The town is a small, working town, not a tourist attraction. It is not as special as some of the ancient Tuscan towns, but this means it is less busy. Not many choices of restaurants, just basic pizza, but enough local produce is available to cook in the peace of the apartments at all the villas.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The manager took care of us even before we reached the place. We have been called to make sure that everithing was ok on our trip and had brief but precise indications, in fact the place is in the middle of astonishing but very off-hand hills, which is what you may be searching for. We got there very late but everything was prepared for us, we could also get some good appetizers and wine despite the kitchen had just closed. A porcupine (Hystrix cristata), 2 foxes and an owl welcomed us on the way to our apartment. We stayed just overnight but the sleep was so recovering from our long trip and the breakfast certainly gave me, my wife and the kids the right energy for the coming day. The place is wonderful and the personnel are all so kind. Before leaving, just because I liked the whole situation, I decided to buy a can of oil (Extra Virgin First Press....ça va sans dir) without even tasting it. Now that I did I can confirm that you should not leave without.Guest review byGuido Galeazzo - 10.0

Podere Albereto is located in a quiet area and has the most fantastic views. The accommodation is clean and has modern appliances and anything you need to cook with. There is a water tap that has the best drinking water so no need to buy bottled. The bed was comfortable and air con worked when you needed it although it was cool all the time inside. There is a pool you can use and you also have your own private area with a bbq/oven. You are 20 min from Buonconvento and you can dine at the restaurant 10 mins walk from the agrituismo if you don't want to cook. Cinzia and Giorgio are great hosts and given the opportunity, would love to stay again.Guest review byA.ChanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed cl0se to Rapolano Terme in a quiet restored old farm houses with pool complex, surrounded by nature. Views are beautiful and nature seems well protected - we saw lots of wild animals: boars and their little ones, young deer, rabbits, etc.Guest review bymghfGermany - 10.0

This was the most amazing and unique stay of our 3 weeks in Italy. It is run by 3 generations of family. All very passionate about providing an outstanding experience to guests. Felt like home from the moment we arrived. We'll be back with the rest of our family. The property is located a few minutes away from the town of Monteroni d'Arbia. Most importanly it is so central to visit Siena, Montepuliciano, Pienza, San Quirico d'orca and Montalcino and the hot springs at Bagno San Filippo.Guest review byJillAustralia - 8.0

Murlo is very small, but there is a lovely restaurant inside the town walls, the pool at albergo Di Murlo is fantastic, and bosca della Spina is great for lunch! You will need a car or scooter to get around.Guest review byAlexanderUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Very lovely little town with great shops and restaurants.
Very lovely little town with great shops and restaurants. There are a few good small hotels. We were walking the Via Francigena when we stayed here. There is also a train station in town with trains to Siena and Firenze very convenient.Guest review byThomasUnited States
