Giovanni and his family were so welcoming when we arrived at their cute b&b in the mountains above castiglione di garfagnana; it’s very much a family home so don’t expect a sterile hotel atmosphere! Our room was traditional (in line with the property) and spotless. We were able to walk 15min down the hill to the village for dinner in the osteria which was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic, so many homemade cakes, coffee, juice, bread, cookies.. the list goes on! It is excellent value for money and the hosts are so kind, we loved our stay!

Everything was perfect! The apartment is a peaceful little gem with a big terrace and a beautiful mountain view. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed is super comfortable. The location is very convenient, Barga city centre can be easily reached with a 5 minutes walk and it's a good base to reach many trails and attractions in Garfagnana. The hosts, Mairi and Fabio, are incredibly nice and gave us recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We'll definitely go back when visiting Garfagnana again!

Great location, spacious rooms. Tuscan style restored apartments, simple but confortable. Nice host. Plenty of hiking trails and gorgeous natural landscapes as well as historical and geological sites. Looking forward to exploring Garfagnana area and enjoying its International Academy of Music festival in Castelnuovo next June-July. Thank you Stefano!

Lovely property in a great location o enjoy Tuscany. It had everything we needed to explore by day and relax by night. Hosted by friendly owners.

Everything was wonderful! The cosy rustic cottages are in a lovely setting with stunning views of the mountains. The pool is beautiful and the restaurant serves dishes created from home grown ingredients. A taste of heaven!

SPECTACULAR! I am in this business myself and can only say that quality of hospitality is simply wonderful. Simona and her family were gracious, totally respected our space yet were completely available immediately for any need. The grounds are simply spectacular and so well cared for, the quality of a super five star accommodation.

Lovely, lovely stay at the agriturismo. Enchanting building and gardens, beautiful views from the gardens on the mountains, delicious breakfast, and even more delicious (and very copious) evening dinner. We travelled there by bike, and accommodated to keep them inside the building. Luigi was gracious, awesome and easy-going host.

Unique, extraordinary place with great atmosphere... Owner was very helpful and kind. He recommended us many tips and excellent restaurant in Castelnuovo. Breakfast inside the beautiful villa was perfect. At night we saw hundreds and hundreds of fireflies.

Amazing location in the mountains not far from Garfagnana, but a bit hard to access. My room was in it's own house up a long, bumpy gravel drive. Come prepared with four-wheel drive for the mountain roads. Amazing views, lots of privacy.

Carlo was the most gracious host. He made an incredible Italian feast made with ingredients from his farm. And a delicious tomato pasta another night. We would love to go back, the property was so beautiful and Carlo has the cutest, friendliest little dogs and cats 😻

Great location in the country yet close to town. Very peaceful and quiet and a beautiful garden and pool. The owner was a delight and very helpful.

Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and wonderful.
