I loved the hotel’s wonderful location—it’s surrounded by vineyards and overlooks a lake and mountains, offering a peaceful escape from the city’s noise. The rooms were extremely spacious, beautifully designed in a modern style with calm, soothing colors. The bathroom was also large and neatly organized.

Castel Sallegg is a spectacular property with its own winery (excellent wines!), and has a sort of Hapsburg air of sophistication to it… starting with the spectacular family trees of the owners which go back to European royalty of the 1700s. The property oozes sophistication and style.. we stayed in the perfectly appointed junior suite with a massive terrace and sweeping views of the gorgeous landscape.. vineyards, lake, mountain, alpine villages. The rooms are exceptionally tastefully decorated with Italian flair and the kinds of thoughtful touches which distinguish a good hotel from an excellent one! Breakfast is also just spectacular… the first morning we ate in the cosy converted wine cellar (it was raining outside) but the next morning they set up a beautiful arrangement on the terrace… complete with comfy blankets in case anyone felt a little chilly! The host Silvia could not have been more lovely and gave us fantastic recommendations for gyms and an amazing dinner (Panholzer Restaurant was incredible!). Overall an exceptional experience… we will be back!!

Spacious room & bathroom with views of Lago di Caldero and surrounding mountains. Adequate breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Guests are able to use facilities free of charge at sister hotel located right at the lake. Visitor card is included and allows for free rides on busses and Mendel Funicular. Great pool behind house, quiet with virtually nobody there.

Located at the top of the cable car, it offers stunning surroundings and complete tranquility. The wooden house is beautiful, modern, and very cozy, with a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The host, Tanya, is super nice, helpful, and genuinely friendly, which makes the stay even more special. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent—especially the desserts, which were outstanding. Another great bonus is the close access to the mountain trekking path leading to the top of Mount Roen. A wonderful place to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and...

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and it was nice for one/two evenings. We mostly travelled outside the Caldaro just having hotel in that town. Surrounding vineyards are lovely to visit and enjoy vine tasting. Great roads for motorbike or bike trips.

Thanks to the wonderful weather during our stay in Termeno, we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The sunny days made it perfect for exploring the vineyards, relaxing outdoors, and taking in the stunning views — it truly made our visit even more enjoyable.

Nice and friendly.

Nice and friendly. Much more German than Italian, which mainly is reflected on the selection of food available. Very nice area for starting walking and trekking in the mountains. Beautiful surroundings.

Nice ancient town in middle of Alto Adige wine region.

Nice ancient town in middle of Alto Adige wine region. Home of Gewurztraminer. In one side of town vineyards an apple orchards, in other side woods and mountains. Ideal for active holidays but also for wine and food lovers.
