The owners and management truly stand out for their remarkable attention to detail — and it is precisely this dedication that made our stay so special and almost magical. The SPA deserves a special mention: several saunas overlooking the garden, a steam room, multiple pools, and a large outdoor jacuzzi create a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. When we arrive at the hotel we have the impression of being home in a large family property. Warm welcoming. We were in the main building with a view of the mountains and the first swimming pool. The room is modern. The terrace area is large but thanks to the sophisticated decoration there are plenty of small and intimate corners. It also offers games near the bar (baggamon, cards, chess, etc.) so you feel like you're at home.There are garden areas with chairs near the trees. It’s so cosy. There are two magnificent swimming pools. The SPA is very beautiful and the reading/silent room is beautiful. For Art’s lovers it is interesting and modern. Beautiful works everywhere. Like in a big house. The breakfast buffet is magical. Magnificent table with a great chef. Delicious. We feel good in the « apple fruits « region. AC works well - rooms all facing south.

There is a lot to do in Merano, rain or shine. Of course, there are the local & famous walkways, the mountain hikes, bike trails, and the Dolomites are nearby. On rainy days, there are castles, the Terme spa/pools. Overall, it's a very nice town with a lot to do.

Schenna is a beautiful town high on the mountainside above Meran. The views over Meran and the valley to mountains and the Alps are stunning. The town has restaurants, a cafe and bars. In summer, you can begin hiking from town or drive further up the mountain to beautiful trails of every level of difficulty. In winter, you can take the cable car to the ski resort of Meran 2000.

A lovely little place with great amenities and activities...

A lovely little place with great amenities and activities for all. It is best known for it's hiking/walking paths, but it is also a bit of a mecca for cyclists. It caters for all levels so is great for all. You can go hang-gliding, horse riding, rafting. There is something for everyone.

(Not so) small village close to Merano with beautiful mountains around and less tourists. Great for a short stay. A few restaurants and caffes in the center (too bad most were closed for holiday at the time that we were there). Small ski station, some beautiful winter paths reachable with a funivia, depends on how much you'd like to walk. Merano (and other cities) are easily reachable by car or public transports.

It's one of those villages that "gets" to you.

It's one of those villages that "gets" to you. The village itself has very narrow streets (thankfully, many are one way only as some only barely fit one car) but the surrounding area offers plenty of hiking trails and the local waterfall, which is rather impressive. Plus this is one of THE wine and fruit growing regions in Southern Tyrol so there are plenty of locally grown foods available and I highly recommend stopping at the many stalls in the area that sell those products.

Nice small village near Merano with plenty opportunities for walking and proximity to Merano attractions. We visited during off-season, so most of attractions and restaurants were closed, but we had many Christmas activities in Alto Adige, even Schenna had tiny market.

On Friday mornings there is an organic vegetable market in the side street close to the EuroSpar grocery store that sells delicious local produce.

A very pretty, friendly, place with excellent restaurants...

A very pretty, friendly, place with excellent restaurants serving delicious food and wine. Although I was there on business, the fresh air, mountain views and scenic town made it an excellent, relaxing experience. I'd have stayed a day longer had I known!
