The hotel served me as a great base for my ski holidays. It is cozy, the staff is very nice and friendly, it is well equipped for storing your skiing gear, has a great location so you can easily reach various slopes from Ortler Ski Arena. And I also enjoyed that I received a room upgrade 😀

A very nice hotel in the middle of the green. The room was very nice and comfortable with a SPA bath. We truly enjoyed the swimming pools and SPA with a lot of quiet place to lie down enjoy the tranquility of the garden and the sun. The restaurant, breakfast and afternoon tees with a nice cake were great. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Starting from Federica and Nicola, many thanks to all. The hotel is quite close to the river. It takes around 10 mins to walk on the side of the river until to the town centre.

Was super lucky to find a last-minute offer (booked on the same day) for a last-minute weekend escape and found this gem in Lana. Located almost in the center but not exactly in the middle (avoided the crowd, although in this season there was almost none). Restaurants and caffes within walking distance, and a couple of minutes walking away from the cable car that brings you to good altitude where there are different pathways to walk (we came to walk so this was a huge plus for us). Our room was clean and comfortable, beautiful view of the mountains from the windows. Owners are super kind and available. Fresh options available for breakfast (I'm not for salty breakfasts in general but they do wonderful scrambled eggs). Price are on the higher end but it came with good value.

Great location, very central and within walking distance to all places of interest. A good selection of sweet and savoury food on the breakfast buffet, the eggs made to order were delicious. The room was well furnished and very clean, we were offered a free upgrade which was much appreciated. Stylish bathroom with a great shower and lovely soft bathrobes.

There is a lot to do in Merano, rain or shine. Of course, there are the local & famous walkways, the mountain hikes, bike trails, and the Dolomites are nearby. On rainy days, there are castles, the Terme spa/pools. Overall, it's a very nice town with a lot to do.

I found a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Avelengo's serene surroundings and tranquility provided the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. A lovely little place with great amenities and activities...

A lovely little place with great amenities and activities for all. It is best known for it's hiking/walking paths, but it is also a bit of a mecca for cyclists. It caters for all levels so is great for all. You can go hang-gliding, horse riding, rafting. There is something for everyone.

(Not so) small village close to Merano with beautiful mountains around and less tourists. Great for a short stay. A few restaurants and caffes in the center (too bad most were closed for holiday at the time that we were there). Small ski station, some beautiful winter paths reachable with a funivia, depends on how much you'd like to walk. Merano (and other cities) are easily reachable by car or public transports.

Schenna is a beautiful town high on the mountainside above...

Schenna is a beautiful town high on the mountainside above Meran. The views over Meran and the valley to mountains and the Alps are stunning. The town has restaurants, a cafe and bars. In summer, you can begin hiking from town or drive further up the mountain to beautiful trails of every level of difficulty. In winter, you can take the cable car to the ski resort of Meran 2000.

5 days in avalegno would have been enough but we had 2 of those days travelling. So recommended time is 5 - 7 days for people like us who do not like to Jam Pack their days. Its is beautifully scenic and well maintained. Take note that the botanic gardens are closed in winter. Aditionally whilst places advertise the availability of renting all ski gear, no one rents snow shoes, pants or jackets, so plan to bring your own so as not to miss out on the fun.

The village is small but well equipped with all the amenities. It's also within a 30-45 minute walk to Merano, either via the higher pathway (i.e. the Algunder Waalweg) or via lower streets. On Friday mornings there is an organic vegetable market in the side street close to the EuroSpar grocery store that sells delicious local produce.

A very pretty, friendly, place with excellent restaurants serving delicious food and wine. Although I was there on business, the fresh air, mountain views and scenic town made it an excellent, relaxing experience. I'd have stayed a day longer had I known!
