The location. Everything just perfect. I hope I could stayed more days in here. Florence is a really beautiful city. It exceeds your expectation in every way possible. With historical see sights, billions of cozy restaurants and cafes (I especially love the one near the Duomo: fancy looking two floored caffe with the best risotto and cappuccino I’ve ever tried in Italy). But before goin to have a true Italian dinner I hardly recommend climbing the bell tower of Santa Maria Del Fiore and going to piazza Michelangelo to enjoy the city from above. After a day of walking the ancient streets drinking a glass of Tuscany wine and eating perfect Italian sweets will be heavenly
An amazingly preserved small medieval city. It was relatively quiet being the off-season (March), and I hear it’s quiet busy with tourists during the summer. Coming from the U.S., we don’t have architecture this old, or if this type, so it’s quite fascinating. Worth a stop while going through Tuscany, but recommend coming here before going to Siena.
Terricciola is a beautiful small town, witha beautiful view over Tuscany hills. As it is so small there is mot many reataurant nor cafe choices, but you do really feel the Italian dolce vita there 😊
It was very crowded on the streets and in the shops and restaurants. But the city is compact enough to see most of the sites in a day. Museum visits could have taken up another two days. We took a wine tour in Tuscany that included three vineyards and a meal/tastings at each. Fantastic visit, beautiful city. We crossed the river to find quiet restaurants and were so pleased with the food.
Montaione is a little beautiful town right in the middle of Tuscany. Very quite place that offers a variety of Restaurants and bars. Perfect stay if you are looking for peace!!!
One of my favorite towns in Tuscany. This place has it all which makes Tuscany great; amazing food, great wine, a night life and a Duomo. There is one of the best cocktail bars (plus a great view) down the right side walking path facing the Duomo (Idyllium).
Wonderful hilltown that is worth spending a full day. The shops and restaurants are wonderful. The views of the valley and surrounding hills are spectacular! It is a must visit when touring Tuscany.
It is a 20 minute train ride from Florence. Train stop from Florence to Siena. Right on the Florence Pisa highway. Lovely small town easy to get around. Grocery stores and restaurants convenient. Great location to tour all of Tuscany.
Our stay at Campiglia d'Orcia was perfect. It is a hidden house in the middle of Tuscany that offers breathtaking views and privacy from other tourists. But it is close enough to a lot of wonderful sights and towns. The home is very quaint and has lovely decorations that make it feel very authentic. It is very clean and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the farm and checking out all of the fruit trees. The couple that owns the farm were so accommodating and helpful, they made our stay even better! My only complaint is that we only stayed for three days, and not more!
There are a lot of reasons Monte San Savino is a great place to stay. The location is great, it has enough stuff here for the essentials, supermarket, salon, individual little specialty shops, etc. Its also 15 minutes drive from Arrezzo and 1 hour from Florence if you want to see this sights. The biggest detraction for some people will be the lack of English speakers. So learn some simple italian to go about yout life. Definitely learn some foods so you can order from the menu, its worth it, it really is. This town is pure Tuscany and it really lets you experience it. There are no tourist traps or people bothering you all the time like in Rome, Milan, or Florence. Its just quiet, peaceful, beautiful Tuscany. Food recommendations are La Terrasse (dual italian/english menu), Lo Stroncapane (Pici is a dish local to the Arrezzo and Siena provinces and its amazing with garlic sauce or Ragu), Arte Dolce out by the supermarket is fabulous for pastries and espresso. Rent a car, its not so bad driving around here, but if you go into florence, park somewhere south of the Arno and walk or uber around. If youre American or Canadian driving in Florence will be quite a shock.

Really charming little family owned hotel in an about 200 years old traditional Italian house with modern facilities near the 19th-century aqueduct. It is located in about 15 minutes walk along the aqueduct from the railway station (or 5 minutes by car) or in about 20 minutes walk from the Old City. The hospitality of owners - Paola and Carlo - is exceeded our expectations. You can also use a fridge and kitchen facilities to make your coffee or a lunch if you need during the day. In addition, you can find here many tourist maps of Tuscany.

I've been to Siena many times. Typically I prefer to stay in the historic center. During peak tourist times (and especially during Il Palio) prices are high. Hotel San Marco is not in the historic center but if you are traveling around Tuscany via car this hotel has ample free parking and very reasonable rates. Just take a taxi (12-13 euro) to and from town. This hotel is also close to the highway but you can't hear it. Hotel has modern decor, fully functioning air conditioning, comfortable beds, and ample breakfast.

Everything about Teatro Romano Suites was excellent! The location is highly convenient and the room itself is very comfortable, easily able to host 4 people with the extra bathroom and sofa bed. However, the HIGHLIGHT of our stay was our interaction with Arianna. Arianna was extremely helpful and friendly, even rushing back to help when we locked ourselves out of the apartment due to our own mistake. Don't miss this place for good value and a comfortable stay while you explore Tuscany. Thanks again, esp to Arianna!

Very attractive hotel inside although typically old architecturally from outside but with the stunning Tuscany countryside views from the garden facing rooms. We were in 24. Good sized rooms with comfortable furnishings and modern bathrooms. All staff were helpful about the city and eating out. The hotel restaurant had closed some 12 years ago since our last stay at this hotel. Car parking was secure in the hotel’s own gated area. We enjoyed the quiet location yet we were close walking distance from sights.

This is a great mini resort. It's small and feels very intimate. It was a great home base to discover Siena and Tuscany. It was too cold to use the pool but it looked beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The staff was SO helpful. Gave great tips on what to see in the area and which vineyards to check out. And they had the BEST breakfast out of all of our hotel stays in Italy. Special shout out to Veronica who was so kind and made the best cappuccinos in Italy.

Perfect peaceful and scenic location for my daughters and I to slow down for a few days during our trip across Italy. The apartment was spacious, luxurious and well-equipped, the bathroom was clean and modern, the pool was a great place for the family to relax. The property is located in a beautiful, secluded area of Tuscany next to hiking trails and near historical hill towns. Just a short drive to Montepulciano to visit restaurants, grocery shop, and site-see.

Excellent place to stay near Cortona. Perfect location for a daytrips to the lovely Tuscany places. The breakfast was perfect – very delicious, served in the lovely garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was decorated with taste, clean and very specious. The restaurant that is separate to the hotel is really nice. Free parking. Beautiful swimming pool with a nice view to Cortona.

The hostess, Sabrina, is amazing. It was my second time staying there. She is helpful, enthusiastic, accommodating, welcoming, you can't ask for more. The apartments and grounds are impeccable. It's a great location to make a home base to travel in Tuscany. She also has a lot of maps and recommendations. I love staying here!!

If you appreciate history like I do, than this is a nice choice! This hotel was built in the 1400's, excellent location and the staff was extremely helpful. No elevator service so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs but so what. Beautiful views of the Tuscany countryside. I would stay here again.

We loved Villa Augusto. We were three families, each in its own villa or apartment. All the places were clean and nice. Augusto himself was very helpful and freindly. The pool and grounds were in excellent condition and added to the entire experience. Truly a great way to experience Tuscany!

We stayed there for 9 days as a base for visiting towns around the Tuscany. The hotel is located inside the walls. All walking distance, there are enough eating places for us to choose daily with affordable menu prices as compare to Florence.

Extremely generous host welcomed us with Tuscany bottle of wine and biscuits. Stunning rooftop terrace with close view of St Martins church tower with table to enjoy the wine and biscuits on as the sun set. Best apartment I have ever booked!

The hotel is just outside the Siena wall, just a 5 minutes walk and their lush garden patio over looks the Tuscany hillsides. A wonderful place to sit and read and have a glass of wine. Staff very attentive and kind.

It exceeded our expectations and beyond. Friendly and courteous staff. Relaxation is a must here. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave (with parting gifts), it's is impossible not to relax. The little touches (fruit in room, little food bites provided every time you order a drink, spring water and sparkling on draft at relaxation areas, umbrellas and chairs pool side, open roof restaurant, newsletter with breakfast, welcome reception...) just made it that more special. The amazing walking and biking trails (free bikes for us to use) with free guides tours if we chose. We could go on and on!
