Two minutes walk from the Duomo, i.e. the heart of the city and the museums and the shops! Amazing choice!

The apartment was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. The swimming pool wasn't huge, but big enough to cool down. It had a lovely ambience. The location was great, in the "Venice" of Livorno and walking distance to great eateries. The breakfast was also good. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Housed in a magnificent 15th-century building, the hotel exudes elegance. Accessible via a gated entrance with a secure code. Upon entering, guests are greeted by the warm hospitality of the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Our deluxe room ( I requested a room after seen the pictures on booking.com) was a sanctuary of comfort and style, with a tasteful decor, a plush bed and a rain shower. Every detail had been considered. Breakfast with freshly baked pastries and artisanal treat from a local bakery. Inviting common areas adorned with antiques and art. Beautiful collection of art books. What truly sets the hotel apart is its personalized service and attention to detail. From explaining the history of the building to thoughtful gestures like adding a sofa to our room or a complementary bottle of Chianti classico. The sweet, polite and caring staff ensures that as a guest you feel valued and cared for. In essence, this hotel is more than just a place to stay – it’s a sanctuary of luxury and comfort that feels like a home away from home.

Florence is a really beautiful city. It exceeds your expectation in every way possible. With historical see sights, billions of cozy restaurants and cafes (I especially love the one near the Duomo: fancy looking two floored caffe with the best risotto and cappuccino I’ve ever tried in Italy). But before goin to have a true Italian dinner I hardly recommend climbing the bell tower of Santa Maria Del Fiore and going to piazza Michelangelo to enjoy the city from above. After a day of walking the ancient streets drinking a glass of Tuscany wine and eating perfect Italian sweets will be heavenly
An amazingly preserved small medieval city. It was relatively quiet being the off-season (March), and I hear it’s quiet busy with tourists during the summer. Coming from the U.S., we don’t have architecture this old, or if this type, so it’s quite fascinating. Worth a stop while going through Tuscany, but recommend coming here before going to Siena.
Terricciola is a beautiful small town, witha beautiful view over Tuscany hills. As it is so small there is mot many reataurant nor cafe choices, but you do really feel the Italian dolce vita there 😊
It was very crowded on the streets and in the shops and restaurants. But the city is compact enough to see most of the sites in a day. Museum visits could have taken up another two days. We took a wine tour in Tuscany that included three vineyards and a meal/tastings at each. Fantastic visit, beautiful city. We crossed the river to find quiet restaurants and were so pleased with the food.
Montaione is a little beautiful town right in the middle of Tuscany. Very quite place that offers a variety of Restaurants and bars. Perfect stay if you are looking for peace!!!
One of my favorite towns in Tuscany. This place has it all which makes Tuscany great; amazing food, great wine, a night life and a Duomo. There is one of the best cocktail bars (plus a great view) down the right side walking path facing the Duomo (Idyllium).
Wonderful hilltown that is worth spending a full day. The shops and restaurants are wonderful. The views of the valley and surrounding hills are spectacular! It is a must visit when touring Tuscany.
It is a 20 minute train ride from Florence. Train stop from Florence to Siena. Right on the Florence Pisa highway. Lovely small town easy to get around. Grocery stores and restaurants convenient. Great location to tour all of Tuscany.
Our stay at Campiglia d'Orcia was perfect. It is a hidden house in the middle of Tuscany that offers breathtaking views and privacy from other tourists. But it is close enough to a lot of wonderful sights and towns. The home is very quaint and has lovely decorations that make it feel very authentic. It is very clean and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the farm and checking out all of the fruit trees. The couple that owns the farm were so accommodating and helpful, they made our stay even better! My only complaint is that we only stayed for three days, and not more!
There are a lot of reasons Monte San Savino is a great place to stay. The location is great, it has enough stuff here for the essentials, supermarket, salon, individual little specialty shops, etc. Its also 15 minutes drive from Arrezzo and 1 hour from Florence if you want to see this sights. The biggest detraction for some people will be the lack of English speakers. So learn some simple italian to go about yout life. Definitely learn some foods so you can order from the menu, its worth it, it really is. This town is pure Tuscany and it really lets you experience it. There are no tourist traps or people bothering you all the time like in Rome, Milan, or Florence. Its just quiet, peaceful, beautiful Tuscany. Food recommendations are La Terrasse (dual italian/english menu), Lo Stroncapane (Pici is a dish local to the Arrezzo and Siena provinces and its amazing with garlic sauce or Ragu), Arte Dolce out by the supermarket is fabulous for pastries and espresso. Rent a car, its not so bad driving around here, but if you go into florence, park somewhere south of the Arno and walk or uber around. If youre American or Canadian driving in Florence will be quite a shock.
The Staff This was our first stay as part of a wider trip in Tuscany. The staff could not have been more helpful. The communication before the stay was great (e.g. booking space in the garage). The Room While smallish was very nice with a small terrace overlooking the countryside and the pool area. The Location This really is the best part of Hotel San Lino. It's within the city walls which means carrying luggage to the hotel is much simpler. Also there is a beautiful church next door to it.
Volterra
The Apartment was really big with bedroom, living-room with small kitchen and fridge and separate bathroom. I really enjoyed that it was little outside of the old center but just walking 10 to 15 min to be in the center and see all the nice and interesting places, buildings, very nice view in many places to the landscape and the tuscany hills. Everywherer the people (bars, shops, restaurants, owner of apartment-house) was so nice and friendly. I enjoyed this stay to Volterra a lot.
I was driving from Tuscany to northern Italy and needed a Hotel to stay for the night on route...Hotel Napoleon popped up on my Booking search for Lucca. Location was perfect just off the freeway. Arrived late in the evening and was met by 2 friendly staff members. I booked a single room but the bed was at least a double size and the room spacious. The bathroom was also spacious...everything was spotlessly clean. In the morning the buffet breakfast was very extensive.
The Hotel is more like staying at a villa-manor or farm estate, because of the vineyards, beautiful gardens and indoor design as well as lovely rooms designed so authentically. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is close to Cortona and half an hour drive to other scenic places and drives. It suited us as we wanted to stay in one place and travel with our car around South Tuscany. We plan to stay with them again next time and recommend to our friends.
Everything was fine. The room was very clean, the breakfast very good. Also the dinner at night left nothing to desire. The Hotel is very well situated to a lot of beautiful places in Tuscany and even though it is directly at a Strada Provinciale (which makes travel by car very easy), the small amount of traffic does not distract the place. The building is very nice and dates back to 1791, has a wonderful view over the landscape and also a very nice pool.
Pienza
Beautiful property on country road in heart of Tuscany, made for easy day trips to Pienza & Montalcino. Sabrina and her daughter are genuinely lovely ladies, very accommodating. Sabrina hooked us up with a free wine tasting at local winery--excellent. Apartment "Bellarmine" had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a small functional kitchen and was clean and very comfortable. The grounds are lovely. Wonderful experience for 3 nights in Tuscany.
This was our second stay at Hotel Casamare. Last year and this year we traveled through Tuscany on bikes, stopping at a different hotel every day along the way. From this perspective, Casamare is truly exceptional in terms of its staff (who are definitely friendly and helpful), atmosphere and value for money. That's why we decided to stay there for the second time. I trully recomend. Also San Vincenzo is nice place to spend same time at the sea side.
We chose Hotel Ercolini & Savi as the first accommodation for our honeymoon in Tuscany and it was the best choice. The hotel is located in the center very easily accessible by train. The service was impeccable, the staff always kind and willing to help you with any information, the room was clean and spacious, while the breakfast and the food served in the restaurant La Pecora Nera was delicious. It was a very pleasant experience.
San Gimignano
The view-OH MY! It’s exactly as one would imagine Tuscany to look like. The pool was fantastic and the dinner was my favorite of our whole trip to Italy. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. We spent a day in the nearby village of San Gimignano (totally recommend!) and went horseback riding back riding at a nearby facility. Lots of excursions are possible. Oh… and the wine! You must try their wine- it’s lovely!
Pienza
breakfast was excellent Maura was there every morning in a beautiful outdoor glass encased building to cook and provide homemade jams, cakes and more which mostly came from their farm. Provided great help during our stay with advice on how to enjoy Tuscany. Apartment was well stocked with cooking equipment had good beds, seating and great bathroom which all looked very new. Parked in a Covered space and the views were great.
San Gimignano
The location was perfect with no other properties close by to detract from the beautiful views of the rolling hills and orchards. The room was large and comfy. The breakfast buffet was very good with many selections to choose from and dinner was excellent, it was one of the best dinners we had in Italy. If we ever return to Tuscany, this will be our number one choice to stay.
San Gimignano
Beautiful accommodation! We absolutely loved this place. From the great staff to the amazing views, this was it. This was the Italy we'd been dreaming of. I practically had to drag my wife away kicking and screaming! The restaurant was great with exceptional views and the pool was nice and refreshing. Definitely give this place a shot when you're visiting Tuscany!
San Gimignano
Everything!!! if you imagine a beautiful villa in Tuscany with a view…..it is this place! The rooms were immaculate and very nicely furnished. The place had everything you would need to cook too. the view is breathtaking. Andrea was super friendly and so helpful. This was by far the best place we stayed in all of our Italy trip. I will definitely go back!
Siena
Stunning view for miles across Tuscany countryside from private roof terrace really sets this property apart. Apartment is clean stylish and comfortable. Check in was super easy. Apartment is in a wonderful location right in the heart of old town Siena, close to Duomo and Piazza, many shops and restaurants and close to supermarket.
Hotel Sabina was a fantastic choice during our stay in Tuscany. The breakfast was one of the best we had in two weeks—delicious and plentiful. Even the pancakes! The staff was incredibly helpful, and the interior was full of interesting art that added charm. The location is also excellent, close to everything in town.
casa volpi is a great stay for those road-tripping in Tuscany. It is a very comfortable, family-run location. There’s also a good restaurant, so you can choose to dine in at the Hotel, which is very convenient. large, clean, comfortable rooms, good wifi, elevator, beautiful view of Arezzo, good breakfast
Gambassi Terme
Everything was perfect during our stay, great hospitality, we felt like home. Apartment is very well equipped and centrally located to see gems of Tuscany (San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena), in a quiet, idyllic area full of beautiful views. Highly recommended, hope we'll come back there one day!!!
We loved everything. Location - fantastic. Close to everything. Lucca, charming town and close to everything in Tuscany. Apartment extremely clean and top notch. Livio - the best host in Italy! We truly felt like home at Livio's place. This is the place to be if you want to explore Tuscany.
Volterra
They are simply fantastic!! Claudia & Roberto are fantastic people! Starting from the first minute of comunication and ending with their apartments in midle of Tuscany, close to Volterra & Lajatico. Apartments are brand new, has everything that you will need for a stay. Thank You!
San Gimignano
Tenuta Sovestro is a fantastic place to explore Tuscany from. Located just down the hill from San Gimi and has great shared facilities with Hotel Sovestro while they look to continue to build out. Breakfast is fantastic and the staff was kind and attentive. Great experience overall.
