Hotel is located in downtown of Amman. Clean and comfortable. But the biggest value is the staff. Super friendly and accommodating. They shared via WhatsApp digital city guide with recommended and trusted restaurants, things to do and location for ATMs and exchange offices. This helped me a lot. Breakfast is served from 8am but as I was scheduled to start my excursion at that time they made sure they start serving earlier. Highly recommended.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Special shoutout to Gazal from the concierge desk for all her helpful tips! Breakfast was great, which you can have out on a lovely terrace. I spent 3 nights in this hotel with my son. It is located on top of a mountain with a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding area, if you are planning to explore Amman and the surrounding area, it is a great base. The hotel rooms are large and well equipped. The manager deserves a special mention - he is very caring, helpful and offers advice. twice we left the hotel before breakfast asking to open the gate earlier around 7 am, we were surprised that breakfast was brought to our room in the evening before the planned departure. And that price!!! I recommend this place. Peter

Mena Tyche is a very nice hotel, lead by a friendly and welcoming team. The hotel is located in the well-established district Shmesani. They serve high quality breakfast with typical and super tasty Arabic food as well as hold a Gym and a Swimming pool, the latter opens from May 1st. The gentlemen at the front office, the room service, the restaurant team and the guards at the front entrance are super nice. All clean, safe and comfortable.

Amman always feels like home for us, people are very friendly and welcoming whatever you go people invite you with a lovely smile and makes you feel at home. It’s a country full of heritage excitement and always in new things to do in places to visit the Rainbow Street and the downtown in Amman it is full of energy smells of beautiful essence from the shops and the aroma from amazing restaurants and desert places for the air there are so many other cafés and restaurant in other places in Amman and most of them serve amazing food and drinks. The café is open until late where you can spend great time with your friends and family and enjoy your lovely weather and a great company. Most of places that we visit workers there are very professional and very friendly and they always go the extra mile to help you with anything that you need a visit to Jordan cannot be completed without the dead sea which is breathtaking or a night at the Petra and Wadi rum . I will always encourage people to take the opportunity of an easy axis to the Country and a short of lighter from the UK to go and explore a place which is full of heritage culture civilisation and enjoy what’s the country? Has as a hidden gem.

Booking.com mistakenly listed our reservation for one adult...

Booking.com mistakenly listed our reservation for one adult instead of two, leading the hotel to unfairly charge us extra, despite the room being priced for two people. On top of that, the hotel provided no basic amenities like towels or extra bathrobes, making it the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Both good things and bad things to say: Good: Beautiful view Curious and friendly locals Good privacy Elevator Staff will arrange cheap airport-transport for you Bad: Terrible wifi that barely worked. Don't book this hotel if you need to do work online, unless you have a sim card from which you can hotspot yourself. Almost nobody around speaks English well, so communicating can be a big struggle Expect to be woken up by a prayer from the Mosque next door at 6 AM. However, they will be quiet for the rest of the night. Getting food is difficult. There is a coffee shop in the same building, but they don't serve food. 100m away there is a small takeaway eating place with cheap junk food. But there is no menu and they don't speak English well, so you just have to communicate with body language and hope they give you what you prefer. There is also a shop with snacks available there. No prices are displayed though. The staff will help you order takeaway, but a meal that makes you full costs around 6 JD, so be prepared. Expect imperfections in your room such as weak air condition, showering water that only gets a little warm, leaking toilet, weak flushing, and a bit of uncleaniness The beds are a bit hard, and the pillows are too big There is not really anything to see in the nearby area The light on the ceiling that illuminates the room shines very bright and white light that is kinda depressing at night

Nice new city.

Nice new city. All vehicles, all cars in the city are electric. With this they almost eradicated noise in the city. Famous hospitality of Arab people is another side of coin. All people are nice, hospitable, friendly, helpful....no aggressive approach..standard seems to be very high.

Very convenient place to stay on arrival or when you have an early departure from Amman QA Airport. The shuttle service is well organized, even in the middle of the night. Room is spacious, so are the beds, and clean. Bathroom convenient, water, tea and coffee available for free. Airco works well, and keeps noise of airport and highway out. They brought us to the car rental too, all for free. There is nothing in the neighbourhood, so really a place to spend the night. Value for money!

We spent two nights only (coming and going) in Amman at The...

We spent two nights only (coming and going) in Amman at The Liwan Hotel. We were made to feel almost family, everybody was kind and helpful and this was repeated on the the road to Petra and at Petra. We hope now to revisit as a purpose built trip, not jst a bolt-on prelude to rushing off to Egypt.
