The point of Wadi Musa is that it is near Petra. Not especially friendly and prices are high by Jordanian standards. The bus to Aqaba was supposed to cost 5 dinars each but we were charged 35 for two as we were the only passengers.
There are no tourist shops, only local stores. All souvenirs need to be bought inside Petra, but you can negotiate prices to at least half price. There's only street parking. It's a very convenient city to see the beautiful area of Petra. It's nice to have a car, since the city is on mountainous roads. If you're walking then you will be going up and down hills. You can rent taxis, though.
Loved Wadi Musa it is right at the entrance to Petra. The hotel was cheap clean And clostest to the entrance of Petra. The Jordanians are so friendly. The town is fun to be in and the people go out if their way to make you feel at home.
2 days at Petra is perfect. Do some of the short stuff when you first get her like swing the treasury, then spend the entire second day going to the Monastery and High Temple of Sacrifice. A warning though, the hikes are pretty hard so if you aren’t decently fit then I’d only do one hard hike per day. Also, be ready for people to try to sell you something every 10 feet on EVERY trail. If you are smart, and we weren’t, just pretend like they are not there. If seems mean, but if you don’t youll be broke have way in to Petra.
Greta village outside Petra. Felt welcomed, and completely safe even walking around at night. Restaurants seem to offer the same general type of food, but the places we tried were both excellent.
Great little city with a budding tourism industry. Many nice, inexpensive restaurants. Petra is breathtaking, of course. The Jordanians are amazing — so friendly and hospitable. Just a tip, make sure you get a fair price on taxis and ask the price BEFORE you go. The drivers we had were fair but there are always a few bad apples.
Wadi Musa it’s a good place to visit , with out Petra mars camp staff ,, I had no idea about this , but I went there to stay and they offer me , to visit it , so it was lovely
Just next to the great historical Petra, Wadi Musa is a town that is populated with bedouin families who are having small businesses around the newfound tourism at Petra. We met some of the most gentle and warm bedouin people, Ahmed and his brother Raahat from La Bella Bedouina, who took care of us like family. We were treated to excellent meals prepared by their family. The accommodation was very comfortable and we just loved it. It is something that would occupy a special place in our memory for a long time. Absolutely would recommend Petra and stay at La Bella Bedouina in Wadi Musa.
If you want to see Petra by night, you must also visit Petra by day the same day or they won't let you in. Seeing Petra by day and by night is worth the money. The price for guides seems high but really they work really hard climbing, helping you and enduring the long stretch in the heat. Getting a guide is helpful. Some guides will give a lower rate outside the gate if you really can't afford the 50 dinar.

I cannot criticize a single thing about Petra Moon. It was better than advertised and we loved that it was easy to find (we were driving); it was exactly as close to the entrance to the park as the internet indicated and the staff was wonderful and helpful. They are able to sell tickets right at the hotel to the nighttime show at The Treasury. Breakfast was delicious and being so close meant we could enter the park right after opening and miss lots of the crowds the tour buses bring in mid-morning.

I like the service that provided by the hotel staffs. The location of the hotel is walking distance to the entrance of the visitor center of Petra. It took me 18 minutes from hotel to Petra entrance. The location is quiet. I had dinner at the hotel. The quality of the food is excellent with very reasonable price. The hotel reach out to the local travel agent (John) who arranged a round trip taxi to pick me up from the Jordan side of the Aqaba border to the hotel and dropping me back to the border.

The manager and the staff appeared to like working at their hotel and appeared to be having fun. That made our stay exceptional in regards to the treatment we received and the meals we ate. The dinner and breakfast buffets were amazing. They gave us a free shuttle to and from Petra and included a free box lunch. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. We were able to sit on a balcony outside our room and watch the sunset. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel. Don’t miss it!

Rose City is great value for money. It's not luxury but it's affordable, has a very friendly, helpful owner - Mohammed, has a decent breakfast (eggs, bread, humus etc.) and is in a useful location. You are up a hill from the entrance to Petra but being at the bottom of the hill comes with a hike in price. It only takes 20 mins to walk up the hill or you can get a 5 min taxi for 2-3 JOD. The hotel is in the town, so gives the opportunity of going out for dinner nearby.

The best stay during our trip in Jordon was in this hotel. Hotel was very clean and nicely accomodated. The personal was realy interested on helping us also they gave a contact of guy (his name Ali) who made us a great tour in Wadi Rum for fair price without any scam. Great breakfast starts from 6 a.m. and it is perfect thing for those who want to leave Petra by bus which goes to Wadi Rum or Aqaba once pet day in early morning (bus comes to this hotel 6:30 a.m.).

This was our favorite hotel in our entire stay in Jordan. Superb service and staff. Gorgeous hotel tucked away from all the touristy ones at the bottom near the Petra entrance, yet easy to get to. My mother and I drove alone and had no issues getting back and forth without GPS. We really enjoyed the restaurants and breakfast buffet that accompanied a beautiful view of Petra. Compliments to the entire attentive staff for making us feel welcomed.

The hospitality of the host Emad was beyond expectations. Since my sister was sick, he offered her some complimentary fruits so that she can rest well. Also, on the day of checking out, he insisted us on having our included breakfast and arranged a take-away since we did not have much time. The location is perfect as its an easy 10 min walk to Petra downhill from the hotel. Also, there are many shops and restaurants around the hotel.

The owner is awesome, super helpful and welcoming! He made sure we got to and from Petra when we needed to, recommended and arranged taxis, and overall made us feel at home. The hotel was the nicest we stayed at in our whole Jordan and Israel trip, clean, very comfy beds. Also, we ended up eating dinner there, they cooked a traditional Jordanian meal of chicken and rice and sauce and it was amazing--highly recommend!

Great place! It was the perfect place for me as a solo traveler. I had my own room and bathroom for the price of a shared hostel dorm room which was amazing! Great location and Ammar the hotel manager dropped me off and picked me up at the Petra gate. He also made sure I felt very welcome and had everything I could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast is good, location is great (not right next to Petra but it doesn’t hurt to walk 20 minutes to Petra or just take a cab). The local bus to Wadi Rum (10JD) picks you up outside of the hostel.
