The location of this home in the town of Yame was very convenient as well, a lot of restaurants are near and the crafts museum and tea shops are a walking distance away. One of our highlights of Yame were the hosts of this home. All of them were really warm, sweet and helpful. We want to especially thank the young woman who helped us with our luggage. Her energetic, positive and smiley personality made our day and stay. Lastly we were very happy with the breakfast. The meal was light and refreshing. The ingredients are carefully sourced and the meal was thoughtfully explained.

Fukuoka
Remember, it’s a guest house and a capsule hotel, so for what you get it’s mostly very good! The staff are friendly, the facilities are good considering the price you pay. The breakfast is generous, toast, yogurt and tea, more than some other competitors offer. Most places in Fukuoka are expensive so if you are visiting the Team Labs Forest Exhibit, the castle or enjoying the beaches, this is a great place to stay. It’s also near a subway station so it’s not very difficult, unless you have a big suitcase!
Hotel is located 10 mins away from a large shrine and Hakata train station & shopping area. There are also bus stops outside the hotel and very convenient to commute to other parts of Fukuoka - eh Ohoro Park, Tenpin although one can also take the efficient subway. 7-11 just across the street and sells great snacks/ desert/ drinks. There is a Starbucks & famous bakery (from the queue I noticed every morning) below the building. btw, there is also an indoor onsen. Great hotel to stay in Fukuoka.
We chose this location because it has pool & beach view. The view really didn't disappoint! We didn't check before booking but our stay was a week before the pool open for summer, I think it is much nicer with the pool open now. Staff was nice, variety of breakfast options, the hotel was clean and has super huge surrounding area. They provide parking ticket for hotel guest so you don't have to pay Times parking. No doubt I will repeat if I'm coming back to Fukuoka during summer.
As a new hotel, Ritz Carlton Fukuoka is beautifully designed and served as a perfect stay for our anniversary celebration. The room is spacious, comfortable and very practical in terms of layout. We got one facing Hakata Bay and it was especially a great view at sunset and in the evening. Their breakfast selection was delicious and of high quality. We also went to their bar and Japanese restaurant, both phenomenal. Service was lovely, all the staff greet you with a smile. We would stay here again!
If one thought the Super Hotel, Tokyo was small then one should not go to the double room at Toyo Hotel. It is made for even smaller people who are obliged to be overly intimate whilst in the room. And the pillows were changed as the original bolster was filled with pebbles. The view from our bedroom window was a wall of the adjacent building. Just 2 metres away. The Hotel’s major “asset” was being near Fukuoka Rail Station, restaurants and convenience stores and of course Rail services.
Fukuoka
The Grand Residence Hotel Hakata was great mostly but the big difficultly was the roaring noise from trucks and cars, ambulances and motor bikes, at night time coming through the windows but particularly through a vent just above our heads at the bed. If we hadn't booked 4 nights and prepaid we would have thankfully left and found an alternative hotel. In our month through Japan on cycling tour from Fukuoka and return to Fukuoka we did not have a situation of noise anything like this.
Dazaifu
the whole house is private use. we stayed here 4 ppl in total, one each ppl could sleep in one bed room. very spacious, very clean, modern Japanese house made us cozy and relax. enjoyed YouTube on big TV screen. unique construction of the house is like our secret base which made me excited! all facilities are pretty new, well-renovated! convenient store is just only few minutes walk away, Dazaifu temple is just around the corner. we will be back here again when we visit Fukuoka city!
Fukuoka
The staff were amazing, really friendly, and personable. Everything else was good but the staff were exceptional. The hostel was very clean, and the building is pretty neat looking as well. The location was within walking distance of a station and a few notable destinations. No dryer on site, just clothesline. However, there was a laundromat 2 blocks away, so that wasn't an issue. I'd recommend this location to anyone staying in Fukuoka. Great value for the cost.
Fukuoka
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. From the inviting lobby to the spacious and comfortable pods, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The bed, complete with a sofa option, provided a restful sleep, and the cleanliness of the facilities impressed me. Additionally, the beautifully designed common areas (especially the bar) added to the overall charm of the hotel. With its exceptional value, I will undoubtedly choose to stay here again on future visits to Fukuoka.
The hotel and the room are absolutely clean according to Japanese standard. Its location is also good, not so far from Tenjin station. Tenjin is a great area for food and shopping in Fukuoka city. Stay in Tenjin area is better than stay near Hakata station. You can take a taxi from the hotel to Fukuoka Airport with a cost of around 2,500 yen; it may be the cheapest city in Japan to take a cap from the city area to an international airport.
It was 2mins away from 7-11 and a supermarket, 5mins away from a FamilyMart. There are small restaurants and bars nearby to have dinner. The main road and bus stop (to Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) station) is 2mins away. Yanagibashi fish market is 10mins away. The hotel allowed us the flexibility to leave our luggage after checkout and to pick it up by giving them 20mins notice.
Fukuoka
Great location. Literally in the walking street in the old part of Fukuoka. Walking distance to the food areas on the river. Close to the metro. A comfortable hostel with helpful staff. The common area was good. Coffee and tea available in the kitchen. Enough equipment for breakfast or to heat a meal. We had a room with a bathroom. It was very small but adequate.
The location, bed quality, quiet and breakfast were fabulous for the price. We have stayed at 3 other hotels near Hakata Station a total of 12 times and Hakata Comfort hotel was really great for the low price. Perfect for our first night arriving in Fukuoka. Everything about this hotel was easy and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!
Everything was great at TKP Sunlife, the friendly staff, the location of the hotel is across the street from Hakata Station. The shops and great food is all just a couple of minutes away. The room was amazing and it was very spacious, the view of the city was great. Will be staying here again very soon when in Fukuoka. 10/10
Had breakfast during an earlier stay when we first arrived in Fukuoka, it was very good and the price was reasonable. Returned to hotel for a 1 night stay before flying home. Location was conveniently located to the Hakata train station. Room rate for 1 night stay was more than double the stay for our multi-night stay.
Kasuga
The place is very neat and tidy. The surrounding is very quiet, which is suitable for people who wish to enjoy tranquill life in Japan. Only 10 minutes walk to nearest JR station, and 2 stops away from Hakata. If you wish to look for a convenient and quiet place in Fukuoka, this would be a great place for you.
Fukuoka
Location was great and very near to where most nightlife and shopping is located in Fukuoka. Staff were very helpful and quick to help out when they could. Private rooms were relatively spacious for a capsule hotel and were very comfortable to stay in. Overall clean and daily cleanings are thorough.
The hotel location is very good, it's near the train station and attraction sites in the city of Fukuoka, you can walk from the hotel to Kawabata market and Canal city mall which takes only about 5 mins. Moreover, all facilities in the room are very convenient and the river view from my room.
This was the ideal place to return to after our excursions across Fukuoka. We loved the spacious rooms, the views of the city, and (especially) the heated rooftop pool. It was so nice to be able to walk straight from the Shinkansen to our hotel, which is located steps away from Hakata Station.
Stylish hotel, but rooms and bathrooms were small. Very small by Western standards. Really no place to set luggage. Fabulous location in a lively area with lots of night life, near a concentration of Fukuoka’s famous yatai restaurants. Relatively easy access to airport, by subway.
