We loved the spacious apartment which had everything we needed to be self sufficient during our stay. Very handy having a washing machine / dryer, coffee machine, and dish washer. In addition it is located close to the lifts (5-10 mins) and not far from Lawson’s. A few nights we walked into downtown Furano which took us about 30-40 mins.
This is a beautiful and clean apartment and much bigger than places we are used to staying at in Japan.
Nice clean and new appliances and bathroom.
Good value for money, we will be back.

We are here early December, not many people here, and it is fantastic. For nature and hiking lovers this is the best place. We traveled Hokkaido to the far north, but here is the most snow and the food and onsen are beautiful as the mountains. Will rent snow shoes today and go up the mountain. The house, which has the spirit of an alp- mountain hut- is old and built around the Onsen, which is all natural water and giant stones, grown by moss inside and outside of the pools

We stayed here for two nights in August 2024. It's a small, family run cottage. The rooms are small and there is a steep ladder up to the sleeping area, but it has everything that you need. Yes, there's no TV, but you probably won't need it anyway.
Breakfast was delicious and plenty, with fresh coffee. Laundry available.
We had a great time watching squirrels with the owner and were received very warmly!

There were two bedrooms, each with a full shower & toilet bathroom. The beds were firm with good pillows. The flat was clean and the kitchen had enough to cook meals. Location was very convenient & there was parking for 2 cars. It was only a few minutes drive from the Furano Ski Resort. The heat worked well & it was a new building.

Kamihoroso is set in a stunning location. The food is excellent, the rooms comfortable and the onsen is fantastic. The staff are also very helpful and friendly, will definitely be coming back here.

It is located at a quiet and peaceful area, with great onsen, both jacuzzi and outdoor onsen are available. The tatami room was also great, especially if you like the tatami and futon experience.

We were a little late in the season to get the full effect...
We were a little late in the season to get the full effect of the flower but we were still able to enjoy what was there. The two nights allow a leisurely drive to the other sights. The roads are long and goes for miles.

Stay in Kami-furano for fast access to the Tokachi Mountain Range in Daisetsuzan National Park, whether for hiking or for backcountry skiing or snowboarding. The town also has a good selection of restaurants; we only tried one during our stay, but it was excellent and reasonably priced.

We like the log home which is very cosy and spacious.
We like the log home which is very cosy and spacious. Our kids are very enjoy the snow outside the house. We skipped one itiernary to stay more hours there. We would like to come back here again soon. We cooked dinner and breakfast which everyone are so happy. Hope to stay more nights!!!

I stayed here for two nights.
I took my young children and traveled to Fukiage Open Air Onsen, Shirahige Waterfall, Aoiike (Blue Pond), Farm Tomita, and Kamifurano.
We met many kind people:
- The Uber driver who waited for us when we visited the Onsen, the waterfall, and Blue Pond. He offered us umbrellas when it was rainy and took the children's backpacks from them so they could walk more easily. He also dropped us off at a nice Ramen place 2 blocks away from the JR train station to make our lives easier. The Ramen place was run by two grannies, and the food was awesome. We found Menga in their ramen shop.
- The kind lady at the Kamifurano train station patiently showed us how to calculate train fares, how to order for 1 adult and 2 children. When we went to the wrong platform 2 hours later for our train to Furano, she noticed and came to direct us to the right platform.

It is a wonderful area if you want to go into the mountains. It has open air onsen, hotel onsen and plenty of restaurants and coffee bars. Two we want mention, as they were exceding expectations. Kaneko coffebeans and Furano Cafe. Worth a visit!!

We spent a day in Furano during their summer.
We spent a day in Furano during their summer. It was a lovely place and the must visit attraction was the Farm Tomita lavender fields and trying their lavender soft serve ice cream. If you are travelling independently (not on a tour group) then try to get there early before the bus load of crowd. If you love cheese then make a trip to the Furano Cheese Factory. Their cheesecakes are delicious. You can also buy pizza there, if you are craving for some Italian food.
