One of the most value-for-money places I stayed in during my travels in Japan. Exceptional views from just outside the building of Gifu mountains, and the rooms themselves are very well-equiped and comfy, considering the price! Also, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could check-in without a physical passport (as I didn't have it at the time), and helped me check-in just with a picture I had of it.
Hotel is in a strategic position to travel around Gifu prefecture. It is near the bus station and the train station. A little bit far from city center but easy to be reached by bus. In 3 minutes by walk you can find a long street full of typical restaurants and street food vendors. Room is clean, a Lil bit classic but functional. Staff is always kind and gentle. Breakfast is so rich and so good.
Gifu
Lovely host!! Super friendly and helpful. I'm really disappointed I only booked one night and couldn't stay more time in Gifu.. she came to pick me up from the train station and took me to a cafe and after to watch a special event by the river. For breakfast she made so much food that I couldn't eat until dinner! :) my 'Japanese grandmother' is the best!
A convenient stay for a transit visit in Gifu, with plentiful parking places for travellers. The rooms were comfortable and well-ventilated (air conditioning and heating), and there was an excellent buffet breakfast served from 6.30-9am. Would highly consider returning to Hotel Route-Inn and the other hotels in this chain around Japan!
If you are attending events in the Gifu conference center, this is definitely the hotel to stay at. Priced roughly in the range of US motels, this hotel can easily out-compete the Hiltons, Hyatts, and Marriotts in terms of amenities, services, rooms, restaurants, and general comfort. Amazing value, service, and style.
The breakfast spread is very good for the price. The breakfast room is also roomy compared to other business hotels. The cost of accommodation is very cheap considering the location. JR line users have to walk 10-11 minutes from the station but the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the Meitetsu Gifu station.
The APA Hotel Gifu Hashima Ekimae, another good quality Hotel, easy parking, busy area, very helpful staff, fast check-in, high standard rooms, clean and comfortable, suitable for everyone, I would certainly stay here again when visiting this area of Japan.
It is a comfortable basic hotel with a fantastic location as it is right across from JR and Meitetsu stations and right next to the main nightlife (restaurants / bars) of Gifu City.
Super convenient. A few minutes’ walk from Gifu station. The hotel staff are very helpful and polite. It’s value for money definitely, a good alternative from hotel in Nagoya.
Location is good. Walkable to Meitetsu -Gifu Station direct train to Nagoya Airport, Gifu JR and bus terminal. Lots of eateries and supermarket. Good Japanese breakfast.
Very confortable hotel with large rooms and a good equipment level. Great location with easy access to Gifu shopping streets, very well prices for the quality.
Gifu
Traditional guesthouse close to the majority of Gifu’s best attractions, host is amazing and helpful in every way possible, even with my poor Japanese skills
Gifu
Excellent facilities, beautiful design, gorgeous views, close to some of Gifu's main attractions
I liked a lot the location, very close to the station so easy to move to cities around like Gifu.
The view of the room is superb, cleanliness is top notch. Both breakfast and dinner are great.
Exceptional hotel, onsen view is amazing
We stayed for two nights. The staff are very professional and remember your preference of food without reminding. Hotel has its own souvenir store selling all the famous brand in Hida and Takayama. Same price too. Good for shopping if you can't go out. Got two onsen bath and we enjoyed both.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Japan for the very first time, and I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to the incredible hospitality and humbleness I encountered at the hotels I stayed in. From the moment I stepped foot in Japan, I was captivated by the warm welcome and genuine kindness extended by the people, and this sentiment was mirrored by the exceptional service I received at the hotels. Cleanliness is something that stood out to me immediately. The hotel I stayed at was immaculately clean, and it was evident that great care was taken to ensure a pristine environment for guests. Every corner of the rooms and common areas reflected a meticulous attention to detail, showcasing the Japanese commitment to cleanliness and orderliness. I found this aspect of my stay particularly refreshing and it further enhanced my overall experience. The staff's friendly attitude truly made me feel at home during my stay. Each encounter with the hotel staff was marked by their genuine warmth and eagerness to assist. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions, answering my inquiries, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, their kind demeanor made a lasting impression. Their unwavering commitment to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction was truly commendable and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my trip. Beyond the exceptional service, it was the humbleness of the hotel staff that truly struck a chord with me. Despite their professionalism and dedication, they remained humble and approachable. There was never a sense of superiority or distance, but rather a genuine desire to connect and provide an authentic experience. Their humility and genuine care for their guests made me feel like more than just a visitor; I felt like a welcomed member of their community. Overall, my first visit to Japan was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the humble and hospitable nature of the staff
Food is delicious and many choices
