This is the most stunning house! Staying here was such a pleasure. It is architecturally magnificent and the design details are perfect! Extensive views of the lake and a short walk to catch Fuji at sunrise! A 2 minutes to the pirate ship to start the loop of Hakone region. 7 eleven just near by with a good range for dinner. The house comes with its own onsen. And once we got it hot and filled we all enjoyed it! Huge projector screen to watch movies in the evening and we got lucky and had a surprise fireworks display on the lake in full view from the balcony and upstairs rooms! It is huge and very accommodating and comfortable for the 10 of us. A very special treat on our trip to Japan!

This house is renovated with great hospitality in mind. It is a blend of new and old. What I love is the thought behind the property and the host. The bathroom is top notched, the care taken on details: hand towels and amenities (shower cap, toothbrushes, cotton pads). The heating is good (although we didn’t need it), there is a washing machine for long stays and the full kitchen (complete with a rice cooker) makes it a home away from home. It is great for longer stays and the beds are comfortable to render a good night’s rest. I have to say, the blanket covers and bed sheets are well laundered (and it makes a great difference)! This means the housekeeping is top notched! It is close to lots of eateries and the lake. The carpark is great for families traveling with a rental car.
