The hotel is walking distance from the port where ferries to and from Naha are arriving and departing. A ferry to zamami island is also available from Aharen beach. The staff is very nice and helpful. A big thanks to Mr. T. Ishibashi for his dedication, kindness and hard work and his colleague in the kitchen Yokishi. Mr. T. Ishibashi helped us a lot to book a ferry and find a motorbike and even make a call for us in Japanese. Thanks a lot! Nearby you can find few car/motorbike rental shop, fishing rental equipment and a supermarket. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to Aharen beach few times a day. The hotel has a great restaurant for lunch and dinner and offer a nice breakfast (asian or continental options are available).

The location is awesome. The facility is on a beach that has amazing coral reef. The beach is made up of broken coral so I would recommend some decent beach shoes/sandals, but you can still manage barefoot. The facility offers a decent lunch and dinner. They also offer lots of water activities. I actually dropped my gopro in the ocean, even with it tethered to my wrist, and our tour guide swam around and found it in the middle of the ocean. I could not believe it. there is a store that sells drinks and snacks that is very convenient. We called ahead and they picked us up from the ferry. We had a great time and I only wish we could have stayed longer. You are a little secluded but that was no problem for us.

All rooms are private at this pension. A stunning beach with an uninhabited Island is within a few minutes walking distance, excellent store close by, staff are friendly, free shuttle service that runs to the port, and back, just look for the blue see friend bus and get on it, it is always there after the ferry arrives the pension is old and charming, fridge and electric kettle are provided, kayak and gear hire are there, the pension is the only place on the island where I found I could hire a kayak as a solo traveler, the rest seemed to be tour only. Maybe there are other places as well. Overall a friendly pension on a friendly island

I've been to a lot of hotels in the world and this ranks among the best. The dinners served were Michelin caliber. But what stood out the most for me was the staff. Friendly, helpful, and one of the waitstaff actually took me snorkling to her secret spot. Exceptional!

The location and accommodations were fantastic. We stayed in the annex and they are spacious and modern tiny homes. The food was high quality varied enough to please everyone in our group. I think this must be the best place to stay on the island!

Many guides are full of awe about the Furuzamami beach.

Many guides are full of awe about the Furuzamami beach. However, it is not a "powdery sand" beach, but with lots of stones and corals and it is rather quite painful to walk at the beach and into the water. We preferred Ama beach. Two to three days is by far long enough to stay on the island.

I was there for five days (planned for seven days to include five days of diving), and my stay was cut short by the threat of a typhoon. Tokashiki is quiet - you have to make your own activities, which are water-based. We found a couple of exceptional restaurants and a food truck with great vibes. Lots of friendly locals.

Akemi was such a wonderful host.. she picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off on our return back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Her place was comfortable and had everything we needed. She even has a restaurant close by and another food spot by Ama beach where we were able to get food and snacks. She served delicious, authentic food at her restaurant and I think she was also the chef! Will definitely stay here again!

While Aka is a small island, it has all the necessities you need to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable getaway. Renting a bike is easy to quickly get around to most of the beaches on not just Aka, but also Geruma and Fukaji, which are connected by bridges. Nishibama Beach on Aka came recommended as the best place to spot sea turtles while swimming or snorkelling, which proved to be correct! Aka has its own nightlift hub in Yonamine House, a small bar with low seating in the Japanese style that serves beer, wine, whiskey, and a host of spirits. Head there in the evening to meet people and make conversation.

Beautiful small island with lots of breathtaking places and spots for snorkeling. The further you move from the Zamami village the more quiet is gets. We went to the more remoted beaches to walk around and were the only people there for couple of hours. Most of the places are easily accessible by bike that can be rented either at hotel or in the main village. There are few restaurant, but always book a table. Often they don't accept guests without reservation, likely due to portion limitations.

The beach here really is one of the best in Japan, maybe one of the best in the world. Crabs and coral and beautiful seashells everywhere. It's so natural. Beautiful white sand and blue sea. Best of all is under the water. Coral gardens, colorful fish, sea turtles

Zamami is quiet and very natural.

Zamami is quiet and very natural. We stayed near the port and there are two nice beaches within walking distance. The town is very quiet ad peaceful. we rented scooters and drove around the island - a great way to see spectacular views. I recommend 3 nights. Be sure to book restaurants for dinner as its a small town and the restaurants fill up quickly. We really enjoyed eating at the hotel but would have liked to have tried a few other places too. The Mexican truck was a great place for lunch (no reservations needed).
