- From $187.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 684 reviewsSo close to the station, very convenient. My room looked exactly like in the picture w/ a beautiful sea view of Amanohashidate & the bay. I stayed there in July, during summer, and the AC was super cold, which I really appreciated. In the bathroom they have make up cleanser, toner, lotion by Pola very convenient. They also provide some product for men, shaving cream, aftershave & lotion. I also enjoyed the foot onsen at the back of the hotel, really relaxing. The garden at the back also offers a gorgeous sea view, perfect for unwinding. There’s a nice restaurant just a one-minute walk away, located on the second floor above a shop that sells food, sweets & knickknacks. It’s also easy to access the temple, ferry tour station and some charming little shops nearby. Don’t forget to stop by a lovely cafe right by the water, it's overlooking the rotating red bridge, they serve lovely desserts.Guest review byNindiyaIndonesia
- From $102.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 3,818 reviewsANTEROOM Kyoto doesn't bury the lede: it's a former high school turned into a true art gallery with a boutique hotel. It's beautiful both inside and out: art installations greet you when you arrive, as well as a stylish bar, a make your own bath salts station, arcades and claw games. And that's even before getting to the rooms: they're HUGE for Japan standards. Even though I wanted a room with a queen bed, I got a spacious one with double twin beds but it wasn't that much or a problem. Common japanese amenities are provided, and the hotel is located in a comfy and quiet neighborhood. I would stay here time and time again. Staff were so kind when we had a couple of issues, and spoke fluent English. I even bought a couple of souvenirs from the art store!Guest review byCarlosMexico
- From $126 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,859 reviewsThe best location! In front of Yasaka Shrine, walking distance Ninenzaka, Senenzaka, Kiyomuduzera, Nishiki Market and a lot more. 1 train to Fushima Inari, 1 bus to philosophers path. We watched the sunset at the nearby river while drinking coffee, had walked throught the streets of Gion at night, walked through temples in the morning. Starbucks at 1st floor and outside is full of japanese street foods. Good hotel breakfast, the rooms were clean and big enough, good ammenities. Loved my stay here for 5days in Kyoto.Guest review byRoxanneSingapore
- From $89.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,633 reviewsThe location was just beside Kujo Station though we walked over from Kyoto Station. The hotel was clean, the staff were very helpful and polite, and there was a laundry room with drink vending machine on the floor we stayed. They also provided free tea, coffee and water daily in their restaurant. In the evening, there was a free drink from their bar, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and had a good time.Guest review bySaira SultanahSingapore

The Staff is really friendly, the room is small but really comfy and cozy. The amenities is the bathroom are the best part of a relaxing bath. And we can’t forget to mention the free ice cream. The breakfast is also really good. You will walk about 3~4 min from the kujo subway station.Guest review byCAMILABrazil

We loved walking the Philosophers Path and having lunch in that area. We went to the 400 year old Ozu Washi paper shop which was great. The bamboo walk was interesting and the Golden Pavion was beautiful. Kenninji Temple with its zen garden was so peaceful.Guest review byChrisAustralia - 10.0

Miyazu which includes Amanohashidate, is one of three natural sites in Japan. The land bridge spans across the sea is fun to view from the observation points (on both sides) and you can actually bike (20 minutes) or walk (50 minutes) one way across. A small town with lots of charm and beauty.Guest review byAmyCanada - 8.0
The staff was awesome!
The staff was awesome! They did everything in their power to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Room is extremely small by US standards! Room could use a microwave, the only one available was on the ground floor and I was on the 7th.Guest review byMarkGermany - 10.0

Kameoka is the starting point of the famous and historical Hozu River rafting ride that takes you to Arashiyama, home of the famous bamboo forest. Enjoy the rafting, enjoy Arashiyama and take the train back to Kameoka. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. A perfect day.Guest review byDeepuJapan - 8.0
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean! The only confusion was that the description on Booking.com states that breakfast is available, it doesn’t say that you pay extra for it. I also paid for towels. If I understand correctly the coat is then deducted from the room fee but it really wasn’t clear.Guest review byCatherineCanada - 10.0

Getting around the city is easy, whether on foot, by bus, or by metro. Cultural and historical richness is almost everywhere you look. The city is modern, yet its atmosphere remains calm and serene. With countless gardens and parks, it offers peaceful spaces to relax and connect with nature. Summer may not be the most colorful time of the year in Japan, but it comes with a welcome perk: fewer tourists!Guest review byHervéFrance - 10.0

Lots of tourists on holidays but pretty peaceful on normal days. The beach was great but I think they limit the days you can swim. Nice stroll along the sandbar. Amanohashidate is the main thing, there's nothing much to do in Ine aside from taking the boat tour. It's probably best to take the tour that starts from Amanohashidate and goes straight to Ine if you want to save time.Guest review byAshwenPhilippines - 10.0
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas.
I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.Guest review byeltopoJapan - 10.0
We truly enjoyed our time in Kyoto.
We truly enjoyed our time in Kyoto. The city is beautiful, full of history, culture, and charm, and it was very easy to visit Osaka from here as well, which made our trip even better. Every day brought something special, from temples and gardens to food and shopping. Kyoto felt welcoming and unforgettable, and we know for sure that we will definitely return. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan.Guest review byTatianaUnited States
