Beautiful room. Excellent location. Short walk to the Ferry and short walk to the onsen up the hill. The tatami mats with futon cushion makes for a firm bed! This is exactly what one should expect from a traditional Japanese room. Not a negative, just good to understand beforehand for westerners.

The room and beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. But the reason to come here is the host Yuki-San! He was not only the best host we’ve had in Japan, but the best host we’ve ever had anywhere. His English is excellent and he has a lot of knowledge and curiosity, all making it a pleasure to speak with him. He also knows a lot about the Island so you really get to understand and experience life here. He is truly a one of a kind person (and also a great cook).

It feels like you are in a home stay than a hostel. The accomodation is very comfortable and clean. They pick you from the ferry terminal or airport. It is walking distance to the ferry terminal if you don't mind walking and right next to the Yuhigaoka observatory. Nice ,cozy lounge .
