This is a fun place to stay for a stopover in Embu County or as a weekend getaway if you live locally. The restaurant is fun and lovely at weekends with music and or sports on TV. The menu is extensive and good, with huge portions of food! The staff is super friendly, we were lucky to meet the owner who owns a safari company in Botswana and is a good naturalist. There are hiking trails, and they are being extended. The tents are fine and comfortable enough, albeit a bit close together so not so much privacy. The gardnes are nice, and they gave me a bonfire as I sat out at dinner, as it was the chilly season. It rained a lot at night, and I can assure you the tents stay super dry inside. There is an electric gadget on the shower, so you can get immediate hot water for a nice, hot shower in the cold season.

The house was well furnished and clean. It was surrounded by a lush garden! There were nice touches such as the bathrobe and balcony. There was a caretaker on location who could do chores for an extra price.

Bertha was a wonderful host. Whatever we asked for we got on the spot. Super nice stuff and such a quiet and silent place (which we are not used from Kenya). As world travelers we HIGHLY recommend this place.

I took a commercial bike for half a dollar from embu town to marine water retreat. The facility has good ambience ,parking ,wifi ,fishing ponds ,romantic walk paths and a large activity and events grounds where I sat to read . The night was very quiet and relaxing.coking facility,dark curtains, under bed automatic lights ,nets , trained kind workers wifi etc I will rate it 100/100 . All this for the price of $ 20 is unbelievable.

The place was near the main Embu -Meru Highway.
The place was near the main Embu -Meru Highway. I liked the place very much. The rooms were clean and the decor was so modern.
Since this was my second time, I can recommend other people to visit the place.
There were also great activities within. Visiting Camp Ndunda Falls was the most enjoyable activity within.
