Everything was perfect. Central position but away from noise. Spacious rooms with very nice furnishing and decorations. Small and cozy pool. Really well cooked breakfast. The real highlight is the staff: helpful and professional but with a hint of familiarity. This is by far the best place we stayed in Cambodia.

Rikitikitavi is extremely well located in Kampot. Right on the river with a great bar you can watch the sunset / life go by. The staff were excellent and we were impressed with their flexibility when we wanted to change plans at the last minute - thank you. Breakfasts were fabulous! Loads of choice and great to have breakfast with a view of the river. When we left, I received a message from the manager as I had left something behind. Fortunately we managed to get someone to pick it up and deliver to our onward destination. All in all, you cannot beat the location, value for money and the food is also fabulous! Thanks for a great stay!

My stay at the AHHA Boutique Hotel was great. The service stood out: the staff were always smiling, helpful, and spoke English, making communication easy and my trip stress-free. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and quiet, so I slept well every night. The WiFi worked reliably throughout the hotel, letting me stay connected. I highly recommend this hotel!

It’s a cozy small boutique hotel. Not far from the town center. A nice walk along the river is all it takes to arrive. The breakfast was great. The pool is a nice place to relax. Rooms are comfortable, restaurant very inviting as well. The best of the stay is the staff! Kind, professional justa amazing team!

The quiet relaxing ambience of the resort with its lush gardens and water setting was immediate on arrival and continued for three wonderful days. However, the staff are the greatest attribute of this resort. From the moment of arrival until we left they attended to our every need. Mr Rith was exceptional in organising transport, tours, pickups and we couldn’t be happier. He also sorted out a problem I had at one of the local banks calmly and competently while I was rather panicked. Mr Rith is also an exceptional kind man. On our tour up Bokor Mountain where that day there were very high winds, he rescued a man who was struggling hard to hold onto a small baby he was carrying in his arms. Mr Keo the operations manager was also very kind and helpful and it is easy to see this attitude of both the managers flows through to all the staff. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was truely excellent. Before arriving I had one concern about the remoteness and safety of this resort. However, my concerns were allayed and there was no problem going to and fro into the town from the resort.

The people made this stay truly special. Some of the warmest and most genuine Khmer hospitality I’ve experienced in several visits to Cambodia. From the moment we arrived, the manager and staff welcomed us with huge smiles, helped with our luggage, offered us a welcome drink and made us feel at home. Every time we passed reception there was a greeting, a joke or a little conversation. Special thanks to the manager with his permanently big smile, the two wonderful guys working there, and the little girl who was often around — if you read this, you genuinely made our stay! The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by greenery directly on the river. We stayed in both a riverfront house and later a three-level treehouse with hammocks and several places to relax. The staff even moved our luggage when we switched. There’s a small beach, a good restaurant and free kayaks, which we took out onto the river for a couple of hours. It never felt like hospitality simply because it was their job. It felt genuine and personal, almost like we were living there together for a few days. That’s rare.

The owner makes you feel at home and gave me great advice on how to organise my motorcycle trips. The house is superb and spotless. My bedroom was elegantly decorated and quiet.

Imagine booking a hotel, but arriving at a place that immediately feels like home 🏡 That’s exactly how I felt staying at The Step. The hotel has only recently opened, and you can truly feel the heart and dedication that Juli and Stepan have put into this place 💙. From the very first moment, I was warmly welcomed and felt completely at ease. The location is a bit outside of town, which creates a wonderfully calm and peaceful atmosphere 🌿 — exactly what I needed at that time. With a scooter (which they helped me organize) or a tuk-tuk, you’re back in town within minutes. This place has definitely left a lasting impression on me. Thank you for creating such a special and welcoming space. 🙏🏽 If I return to Kampot, I would happily stay here again. 🫶🏼

Super nice hotel in Kampot! The staff were super helpful. Not all of them speak good English, but they make the effort to understand you and meet your needs, so do not hesitate to approach them (google translator is always helpful). The room was amazing: spacious, clean, and beautiful decorated.

Nice place, run by Olav, a German expat (who's also a great cook) and his wife. A little outside of city centre but easily accessible with Grab tuk-tuk. Just five impeccable rooms, well equipped, clean and proper. Great value.

The bed was the most comfortable we had throughout our entire trip. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Sunshine is a super cute and cozy place to stay! The owner is one of the kindest persons we met while travelling, she helped us in many ways and we had hours of amazing time and interesting conversation together! We immediately felt like beeing at home. Can absolutely recommend!

The hotel must have been recently built as everything is new. Staff are nice and the hotel location is good - a nice 5 min walk into town from a quieter location.
