The location out of the city was a perfect tranquil location and well worth the short ride from the centre. What sets Villa Romduol apart for us was our amazing hosts Naret and Sarong, who could not do enough for us to make our stay memorable. We loved the very tasty home cooked food prepared by Sarong.

Quiet area. Filtered water available so I didn't have to purchase bottled water. Room was cleaned when requested as I informed host I did not need my room cleaned daily. Staff was very nice and pleasant. Host arranged transport to Kep for me. He also booked an appointment with his dentist and helped with finding a pharmacy so I could purchase medication. He arranged several tuk tuk rides for me. It was only approx $3 RT for short rides to go into town for the night market and meals - it was too hot for me to walk that far. Gin & Tonics there were only $2!

The hotel is very nice with the pool and the rooms had all the necessities one needs. They even had a free tuktuk ride to the town since the hotel is a bit further from town but it was lovely how quiet it was. The staff is wonderful!

I stayed for two nights at Old Cinema in Kampot, and it was without a doubt the most incredible hotel experience of my entire trip. From the moment I arrived, the level of care and attention from the staff was unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere. Every interaction felt genuine, thoughtful, and warm. My room was beautifully modern, cosy, and clearly designed with comfort in mind. It felt like a true retreat at the end of each day. But the highlight of my stay was breakfast. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the waitress—whose name I sadly forgot—was exceptionally kind and attentive. Her warmth and thoughtfulness added something truly special to each morning and made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. Old Cinema is more than just a place to stay; it’s a place that makes you feel cared for. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I’m already looking forward to returning someday.

Staff was amazing! Everyone always had a smile and reception greeted us every time with our names. Exceptionally friendly. Location is a bit out of town (Kampot) and as first timers in Cambodia we did not realize, however this wasn't a big inconvenience, it was a cheap, 20 mi tuk tuk into town. Food was fantastic, great drinks! Highly recommend the old fashioned and the holy smokes! Rooms are tucked away into nature, making for a lot of privacy.

Loved everything about our stay, such friendly staff, great pool and brilliant accommodation. The owner even gave us face masks when he heard we were driving to Sihanoukville by scooters that day as the roads were bad and dusty. Highly recommend!

The host and the staff offered great service. We went on a rainy day, the staff brought us an umbrella once we arrived, which is very thoughtful and welcoming. The pool was clean and the air were fresh even beside the river. They provide kayak and biking activities. However, we only stayed for one night and didn’t have enough time to explore that much. We will definitely come back next time. They have different types of rooms and all have beautiful view and comfortable, clean bedroom. Bathroom’s water is strong and hot. Very relaxing and chilling even doing nothing at the balcony just outside of the room. We had their bbq and tuna tartare for dinner with cocktails at the lobby. The staff served well at right timing and at the same time left personal space for guest to enjoy. Breakfast was also nice! The host recommended us few restaurants nearby. But Khla already has everything we need and want.
