We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Old Cinema. The hotel has a wonderfully creative and artistic style, with beautiful décor inspired by old cinema and Art Deco touches. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, making the space feel special and full of character. The staff were very friendly, warm, and welcoming. The owners were always around to check that everything is fine and to offer helpful tips, advice and arrange for tuk tuk, which we really appreciated. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we had during our holidays. Fresh, well-prepared, and relaxing, it was the perfect start to the day. The hotel is also very well located and easy to reach for those arriving by bus to Kampot (just 5 minutes walk), making it convenient for exploring Kampot. Despite its central location, it still feels calm and inviting.

Absolutely wonderful old building. Rooms are decorated in individual themes with beautiful detail. Very comfy bed. The owner is so welcoming and accommodating. My checkout time was extended to accommodate my late departure on the train. Convenient and central location, easy walking to all my favourite coffee shops and restaurants. One of the very best places I have stayed in Cambodia.

i’ve never stayed in a nicer boutique hotel in cambodia. it’s honestly on the same level as some of the big 5* names in phnom penh, only without all the bullshit. main plus is that it’s completely new / newly renovated. no one wants anything from you. it’s spacious but only a few rooms, so no one bothers you.

The staff were all amazing, from the pool boy, the waitresses, cleaners and gardeners.The chef is absolutely fantastic. We booked 3 nights but ended up staying 8 nights. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and didn't have a bad meal in 8 days. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place, we really didn't want to leave. For a good part of our visit, we felt like the only people there. It was so relaxing after spending 2 weeks touring around Cambodia. The view from our room was amazing, infinity pool, the beach/sea and especially the sunsets. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Pippali for just over a week and it was truly amazing. The hotel is very well maintained with good sized very comfortable rooms. The swimming pool is an added luxury. The hotel is located just across the road from the main river and is walking distance from downtown Kampot.

The atmosphere was perfect; beautiful place at the river with amazing views. Nice staff, two swimming pools and Hans and Seyha made it a perfect stay. We will be back! My advice: order a cocktail at the river, chill on the river deck and watch the sunset;)!

Lovely, lively and authentic.

Lovely, lively and authentic. Reminds me of Chaing Mai in Thailand. Some great restaurants and coffee shops. The market is great and no one is pushy and up for a haggle. I really enjoyed my time and look forward to returning.

Nice town. Not too much traffic trying to run you down. Some great vegan/veggie restaurants. Lots of places to eat. Riverside walk really nice, peaceful. Beach ok, but need to watch the roaming dogs as they use it as a toilet!! Nice town and shop areas. Visit the pepper plantation, awesome products.

Great location and people . restaurants were plentiful. If you don't like too much sun and heat, Make sure to go during winter season because even in December walking along the river walkway was very sunny and very hot even in the early mornings. Had to safe strolling in the evenings.
