A warm welcome from the staff. We got a room updagrade, we stayed just one night. I booked the hotel based on the reviews of the view from the infinity pool. it was stunning at night. Breakfast was decent. The hotel also arranged for us a car service to Siem Reap at an additional cost. They were quick to respond to our queries on the chat.

The Peninsula Phnom Penh is conveniently located. From the hotel to several important touristic sites, it takes only 10 minutes by car. The hotel is very comfortable and clean. The swimming pool and the sport room on the topfloor are wonderful. The staff is very helpful and warm. I would come back to the Peninsular Phnom Penh in my next trips.

exceptional stay with Luxcity hotel. we arrived 2 hours earlier than check in starts, but we had a room without problem and no additional fee for that. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Very good breakfast is included and in general the food in hotel is good. we were suggested to be met by Luxcity car at the airport. always there is a good swimming pool, gym on 24th floor. The room is big, everything is new :) and there is everything in the room we really enjoyed our stay there and now regret we stayed there for only 1 night, Really appreciate level of service in the hotel

Nice hotel, upscale feel. The hotel pool is more instagrammable than usable in hot weather, however, access to the hotel's sister property and its pool more than made up for this. Spa offered good services. Breakfasts were very nice. The rooftop restaurant/cafe/bar was also great for an afternoon or evening cocktail.

This is truly a very beautiful boutique hotel. This property used to be the French administration unit so it reserved the French colonial architecture and building. I read somewhere saying their building was restored in 2011, with the help of the Heritage Mission of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and the support of the French Embassy. The lobby has a small fish pond, trees, some exhibitions (paintings and stuff) along the walkway, a well-functioned spa, a very nice outdoor swimming pool and great restaurants (I have a fine dining dinner at a French restaurant upstairs (La Pergola - you get discount as a hotel guest) and breakfast at another one near the pool). The food here is so good, you do not need to go out to have proper eating. This place is like a tranquil getaway, a green oasis to relax after a busy day. I highly recommend it. It sometimes hosts some cocktail functions for business chambers. This place also has a working/business lounge for busy people working, or reading a book. Their General Manager is also very friendly and approachable. I like this place very much. I will come back if I visit Phnom Penh again in the next few months.

It is difficult to exaggerate what an important part this hotel played in my life over the last week. While staying, my wife became ill, the management recommends a hospital and provided a driver. Day after day, as I was staying there alone, they expressed genuine concern and have kept in touch since. It was like having a hotel family! And, I couldn’t have been stranded in a better place - comfortable environment, great food!

The old town is dense, exciting and packed with endless possibilities. Outward is a modern city, clean, safe and hot! Soga Cafe has an authentic 1930’s vibe that calls to mind colonial French Indochina, in all its old exotic mystery.

phenom penh can be hectic with traffic at peak hours sometimes beyond. road rules often ignored , can find motorbikes riding on footpaths in opposite direction, always look left and right and behind sometimes.avoid dark streets off popular paths gets a bit rough looking with unsightly characters. most people friendly but will come across beggars of all ages even expats. rule of thumb always safer being home before midnight, like anywhere really. along the boulevard by the river is lovely but mass crowds on weekends walking up and down the street but friendly and safe . again after midnight be wary

Hm - this is a difficult one as Phnom Penh was our last destination on a month long trip so we couldn't help but compare it with other cities which (in our view) had more for tourists to see. It is a large, busy and very hot city (in May) - there are some fabulous restaurants and hotels and we took part in an excellent cooking class, but they are tucked away - you will be on a street which looks dirty, with open sewers and people sleeping rough, then you will go through a doorway and be in the most beautifully appointed courtyard with all modern amenities. The people are wonderful - very friendly and kind but in terms of 'things to see' there is less than other places. You travel around by tuk tuk which is great fun - a very immersive experience. The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda are quite nice but you can no longer enter the throne room and other pagodas I saw on my travels were more ornate. The main reason we came, though, was to understand more of Cambodia's tragic recent history - visits to Toul Sleng genocide museum and Choeung Ek (the killing fields) felt important to us and both sites are well maintained with excellent audio guides but very sad indeed - we also went for a sunset cruise on the Mekong River which was a relaxing end to the day. There are lots of markets but after about 11 o'clock it is incredibly hot - better to wait till late afternoon to visit. Also food is relatively expensive - it can be $6 to $8 for a main course in a mid range restaurant (if you sit down for street food it's much less but note the street food here is even more meat-orientated than Vietnam which may be a problem for some travellers) - you can pay in either Riel or US dollars for anything and everything.
