The pool was beautiful (cold!) with a great swim against for exercise and the sky bar had incredible views. We had a delux room - worth the few dollars more. Make sure you download the GRAB app for great value taxis and tuktuks - like Uber they can see exactly where you are. So incredibly easy to use.

Cambodia has successfully dusted itself off from the ravages of war with its colourful capital of Phnom Penh rising from the ashes and sparkling once more. This fascinating city, on the banks of the Mekong River, features exotic markets, cultural jewels and is home to some of the friendliest people on earth.
A visit to the National Museum captures a slice of Cambodia’s ancient Khmer history and art. A different and more recent history suffocates and overwhelms visitors to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the former prison of the Khmer Rouge, and The Killing Fields are a short drive from the capital.
The Royal Palace is a striking centrepiece in the centre of Phnom Penh, and is home to the Emerald Buddha and Silver Pagoda. Not far away is the Cambodian Independence Monument that celebrates Cambodia’s sovereignty.
You can satisfy your hunger pains with delicious French-Indochina-inspired meals at various street stalls or classy restaurants. The riverside area has the Art Deco Central Market for a great bargain and there are a variety of bars, especially near Sisowath Quay.
Take time to walk around the French colonial streets with its mix of slow-moving monks and speedy motorbikes. Booking.com has many hotels located in Daun Penh and Chamkar Mon districts, amongst others.

Although the roads are mostly crowded with traffic it is not a polluted city as others I have been to. Many of the Tuk Tuks run on CNG or are electric. Walking anywhere I found difficult as motorbikes or cars are parked everywhere. However, the city is an adventure not to be missed. The food and people are amazing and there is not enough time to try everything.

Bustling third-world city.
Bustling third-world city. Not cheap to buy anything in the city by US standards, still a poor city by anyone's visual standards. Great as a pit-stop to Ankor Wat. Not much to do, especially given the difficulties of no public transit system and shady tuktuk drivers. Hop on an $8 bus out of here after a day or two wandering around looking for anything to do besides the expensive mall.

I can highly recommend a "private" tour of Phnom Penh by "Tuc Tuc".
It was highly interesting and customized so that only the sights that interested me were included. It did make the trip a success also the fact that the driver was able to speak some English and only sometime the help of google translate made it possible to have a detailed and informed 4 hours tour. Btw this was organised with the help of the reception staff at the hotel.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia's bustling capital, is a city of...
Phnom Penh, Cambodia's bustling capital, is a city of contrasts and charm. The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda captivate with their regal beauty, while the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields offer poignant insights into the country's tragic history. Exploring the Central and Russian markets is a vibrant experience, revealing the city's bustling commerce and rich culture.
The riverside promenade along Sisowath Quay is perfect for evening strolls, offering stunning sunset views and a lively atmosphere with numerous cafes and bars. The local cuisine is a highlight, with must-tries like Amok and Lok Lak found in both street stalls and upscale restaurants.
What truly sets Phnom Penh apart is the warmth and hospitality of its people. Locals are genuinely friendly, often going out of their way to help visitors. Whether it's a vendor guiding you through market stalls, a tuk-tuk driver sharing stories about the city, or a local family inviting you to share a meal, the kindness and generosity of the people make you feel welcome and cherished.
Despite rapid modernization, Phnom Penh retains its traditional charm and offers an unforgettable experience. The blend of historical significance, vibrant culture, and heartfelt local interactions makes it a unique and endearing destination.

It's a nice enough city, a bit busy with motorbikes and tuk-tuks. Airline agencies were a bit difficult to locate, to phone, to even open the doors!
MY biggest surprise was the quantity of plastics thrown into fields and drains out of town. Little wonder that the sea is becoming polluted!
The Royal Palace and gardens are quite a place to see.
Our room was big and clean, on the 10th floor, had a great-working air conditioning and a beautiful bathroom. We stayed in the HM Grand-suite due to a good off-season offer, but it would not be called a suite in a western hotel, more like a superior/deluxe room.
The rooftop bar had good cocktails and a great view over the city.
Nice with swimming pool (incl bar) and gym.
Good location in walking distance from most of the city centre.
It was the wounderful and great time for me to experience to stay at Best Central Point Hotel. All staff were kind and friendly. I was enjoyable there as visited Royal Palace, National Museum and many history places nearby. Oh one more thing that I really not to forget, the food so you could taste with nice and delicious as Cambodian's style. I warmly recommended to stay there when you visit Phnom Penh.
From the outside you would never imagine how nice this hotel is! The hotel has several buildings which make it really cozy and you don't have the feeling of being in a big and anonymous hotel. The two pools are exactly what you need after a busy day exploring the city and the position, right behind the royal palace, is perfectly in the city centre. The restaurant is also recommended.
Nice hotel, we had a two bed apartment which has plenty of space and good facilities. Pool area and gym were fantastic. Nice location slightly out of the city centre, but a vibrant area with nice bars and restaurants.
The staff & management friendly and helpful. Cleaned room, nice balcony view. Price reasonable. Great location central of city. Strongly recommend to stay this hotel.
