Super relaxing place to stay in Kampong Cham. Tu, his family and Alfredo were all incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed was LARGE and comfy. Rooms are simple and comfortable. I really felt at home in the place. Tu went out of his way to help me, for example giving me a lift to the bus station when I left. The bicycles and motos for rental make things very easy to get around and super cheap. I came back a second time on my way back through Kampong Cham and brought a friend. Would recommend.

This guesthouse is a little hidden gem in Kampong Cham. The trick is to book the right room. We stayed in room 22 which is the vip room. The room has one large bed and a single bed. It is on the top floor and overlooks the Mekong and the bridge. The view is stunning ! The mattresses, pillows and sheets were all clean, the AC works fine, the shower works fine, the wifi is adequate. There are minor issues like the toilet seat hinges where broken, not enough power points, bedside lamps not working, tv not working but that’s Cambodia. There is a bakery in the street behind so you can walk to get warm baguettes or donuts in the morning. There is a pizza shop next door and a chicken shop as well as multiple Khmer restaurants in the strip. There is a coffee bar downstairs that opens at 530 am. I would advise to bring earplugs if you sleep early like my family does, just to allow for the road noise in the first half of the night. Also be aware the cafe downstairs operates a music/exercise class right across from the hotel at 530 pm and 530 am so you will be awakened early. We have stayed in the other 2 big hotels on the riverside and this one was by far the best value for money.

The whole project is fantastic, the team, the children pretty much everything. We knew the room would be basic, we got pretty much what it said on the tin. You will struggle to get a more ‘Cambodian experience’ than this. We went down for dinner on our first night and ended up being invited to a villagers wedding !

the only thing i disliked was that there was quite a lot of bugs so i found it a little uncomfortable in the room but bug spray or a mosquito net would have sorted me out, unfortunately i had neither

I went on a photography trip to Kampong Cham to photograph how the landscapes changes during wet season. I hired to local Tuk-Tuk driver to take me around both Kampong cham & Tbong Khmum provinces to photograph pagodas, flooded farmland, lakes, forests and to better understand how the locals live in wet season and how the rising waters disrupt their daily lives. I did visit the acclaimed Wat Hanchey outside the city and found most buildings & shrines & statues in good condition, but did not appreciate how they just dump their rubbish down the side of the hill behind the shrines etc, that was a real turn-off. One of the highlights was visiting a pagoda in Tbong Khmum province, Daun Mow Pagoda on the edge of Tonle Bet lake which had flowed into the pagoda grounds making for some amazing photo opportunities. I got to chat with some of the local community people while there. A nice & welcoming experience.

A lot to see and if you get the right tuk tuk driver that can explain things and knows the best places to see then a bonus. Some very nice restaurants on the Meekong riverside. A full day tour cost us $25 and half day $20 to mountain even with 4 of us.

Kampong Cham is very poor city.

Kampong Cham is very poor city. The roads and sidewalks are generally in poor state of repair and restaurants and cafes suitable for Westerners few and far between. Tourist attractions seemed to be minimal so i wouldn't stay here for anything more than a transit stop.

Large room, clean and comfortable. We hired a motorbike through the hotel which was good. It is in a local area a little bit out of town so you do need some form of transport. Owner was friendly, spoke french and limited english. Washing was available at the hotel. Morning market just outside the hotel is good.

The staff is really extra nice, they are here to answer all of your questions, organise everything for you, and can help you in any circumstances. Loved staying there, it's calm, refreshing, away from the city hassles, the included breakfast is good. Everything went smoothly and was great.

Can't say nothing for that price. It was nothing special but the room was more or less clean. With the fan it was not too hot. The apartment was a bit outside of the city but with a scooter no problem.
