Everything was excellent. It's a beautifully renovated riad, great location in the heart of the lively Medina, while it's quiet inside. Great water pressure, clean room. Amazing view from the rooftop terrace. I felt welcomed and cared for, the family running the riad are super helpful. Shukran!

It is a paradise. Everything is so pretty. There are so many details everywhere. The place is so calm and clean, the music and the smell is so relaxing. The staff is so nice, specially Majda and Zacharie, who made our stay better. The spa is perfect, I would definitely recommend, Maria and Maja did the hammam and the massage, they have wonderful hands.

We are couple and came from Hongkong. The first day of arrival was at 0830 a.m. was a pouring-rain one, we got wet thoroughly. We met our house keeper Fufu who allowed us an early checkin. We thanked him for his empathetic and flexible approach. We spent four days in this clean, cozy and full of African vibe Riad, plus rich breakfasts, we have no regrets! Also thank the Riad owner for his enthusiastic and kind hospitality to us. We love this Riad, and all its staff (of course including the housekeeping young lady!). We will definitely re-visit there! The Riad was all and more than we expected. The decor is amazing. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed with appropriate bedding and towels. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as it’s in the old part of town with no traffic except for bicycles and motorcycles which we learned quickly to avoid. An easy walk either way took us to different parts of the town. Even the neighbours were very friendly and chatted with us whenever we went out. The wee shop opposite is very handy too. The lady was great even though we had difficulty with the language. It’s not a quiet area through the day but we were never disturbed at night. Breakfast was amazing and delicious every day. Dinner also met our expectations.

Breakfast was exceptional and it felt more like being treated in a Michelin Star Restaurant. Very much impressed with the quality of food and presentation. The entire Riad is exceptionally beautiful with emphasis on privacy and never felt being in a hotel. Got upgraded to Calife Suite with private patio. No doubt, the best place to stay in the entire Medina of Fes !!! Rooftop bar was definitely a treat.

it is amazing!

it is amazing! a lot of good places to visit not just for sight seeing, going around the whole city is experience itself, from the square, garden, narrow roads, tannery, hills, medina, food, just simply a lot of things to experience... and it is very authentic which makes it beautiful and amazing!

Comparing Fes to Marrakesh...

Comparing Fes to Marrakesh...Fes was a much more scenic city with lots of greenery around the centre. I highly recommend a hike up the hill at the top of the Medina to see an incredible view of the whole city. The Medina does not allow scooters so it was much less chaotic than in Marrakesh. Just outside of the blue gate of the Medina you'll find a lovely square where families meet in the evenings, and another square just across the road from that. It makes for a lovely stroll after dinner, seeing how the locals gather with family and friends.

Fez was a pleasure. I felt like I went back in time.

Fez was a pleasure. I felt like I went back in time. And while there is plenty of tourism, I felt like a tourist looking in rather than the city operating only for tourists. Someone might disagree, but I thought it was great.
