Our stay at Riad Serendipity was simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Sebastian, Nazha, and Selma were incredibly kind and welcoming — their hospitality made all the difference. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and full of local flavors. A special thanks to Nazha Selma and Sebastian who took such great care of us and made every moment special. The riad has such a warm, familiar atmosphere, and the price–value ratio is excellent. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended! + thank you to Adil who gave us a spin!

FAQs about hotels in Fès

Exotic Arabic Maze

Fès is a kaleidoscope of colours, smells and sensations, and its intricate urban design is an allegory of its own identity. Live up to the pace of this ancient Babel, and go the whole hog immerging yourself into its 1001 Nights atmosphere. Check out the Booking.com hotel deals in fascinating Fès and enjoy!

Commonly spelled Fez, this city was Morocco’s capital during Middle Ages. The city was originally composed of two separate settlements located along the banks of the Jawhar River. Madinat Fas was founded in 789 by Idris I, while Al-'Aliya was founded by his son Idris II. Both towns grew autonomously until the Almoravids unified them in 1070 under the name ‘Fas’. The city is still considered a beacon of the Islamic civilisation, due to its ancient ‘madrasas’ Islamic colleges.

The Old Town or ‘medina’ has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, representing one of the best preserved historic centres in the world. The famous ‘riads’ or small traditional hotels are located in the medina, which is also called Fes Al-Bali.

The city can be reached through Fès Saïss Airport, or from the airports in Casablanca and Rabat via railway or bus connection. Whether you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Fez New Town or a historic ‘riad’ in the medina, don’t miss Booking.com’s wide offering!

It’s different culture , ppl are just hassling and trying to make few euros at whatever cost , if you don’t speak the language you will be taken for a fool when you buy things . The game of real leather and cheap things and negotiation back and forth, all that is to their advantage 100% . No complaining here , just preparing others that fall for the IG photos showing a beautiful a colorful destination.

Fes was amazing. We were absolutely fascinated. It's a very good idea to walk around the medina with a local guide as there is so much history and culture to learn about. We had a wonderful guide (Idriss) organised by our accommodation (Dar Bensouda) who went above and beyond to take us to as many places as possible and was so accommodating answering all our questions. Stunning medina. Can't wait to return!

Fes is a beautiful place ro visit with local markets., ancient Islamic buildings and tasty, delicious food and fresh juices. Most of the attractions are close to Bab Boujloud ( blue gate) to visit. The food is fresh and tasty. Buy a sim with data which helps to navigate around the area and main attractions because the streets are like a maze. Beware of FAUX guides around Bab Boujloud. They started walking around you and guide you the wrong way/ long route and charge you money so better follow through Google maps or book genuine guides.

Fez is an historic and beautiful city, the cultural capital of Morocco. We particularly enjoyed the cultural museum, which helped reinforce the information that our Riad host provided. Touring the Medina, including tanneries and other key souks was enlightening. The people were all very friendly, and not pushy in the souks. We felt very welcomed and fortunate to learn so much about Moroccan culture!

The old medina is charming, but a guide is necessary to help navigate it. Restaurants are okay it's better to eat the traditional dishes in the riad where you stay if a cook is provided. Summer is very hot on Fes it's easier to use a car to explore the different gates if the medina.

There was no good support from the staff.

There was no good support from the staff. They were not available to any support. AC was not working. They don’t provide breakfast as promised. They don’t book taxi as promised. Not even there to support. For them watching match is important than answering customers. I don’t suggest anyone to stay here. Riad is good but not the support staff. You feel left out.

I had such a wonderful time at Ibis Fes! All the staff were very helpful with my first ever stay in Morocco, from help with my phone, to the delicious food on my late night adventures to the restaurant, where Rachid and the staff were respectful, hard working and even offered to make me a delicious cheesy omelette for my last morning before my flight! Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience, and for welcoming me into your country and hotel with such attentive care and positive atmosphere.

It was an oasis right in the middle of the Fez Medina... 5 minute walk to all the main attractions, yet quiet, luxurious and personal. This establishment should really be listed in the Small Luxury Hotels book, from a welcome tea and biscuits, to the personal and highly professional services of Abdul and Mustapha along with an amazing breakfast, stunning rooms and a picture perfect rooftop to enjoy a sunset drink (BYO of course)... Can't fault it.

Just wow! The most beautiful riad which we met during our trip in Morocco. Staff was so kind and helpful. We got all needed information about the medina and locations of main streets, attractions and areas of Fes. Also we received the breakfast with us at 4:30 AM as we had very early train to Marrakech and we really appreciate it. Thank you for the hospitality!

A beautiful Riad in a great location. Hamza made sure our stay was smooth and organized an amazing private tour of the Medina and great massages in the hotel. I'd recommend eating in the hotel one evening as the food is really good. The rooms are spacious with great bathrooms and showers. A 10/10 and we'd recommend staying here if you are coming to Fes 😀
