Beautiful riad with an amazing roof terrace - easy to find and within a few minutes walking distance to all of the main sights. They organized a taxi for us to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss and even walked with us to the taxi to make sure we found it ok. Breakfast was simple and delicious and served on the roof terrace.

i had amazing experience, the hotel has a calm atmosphere and the service was very good in the restaurant besides the stuff of the reception they we're very helpful within the informations of the hotel also about directions of the places to visit as the Old Medina as historical stories of the city, i still want to try the food again it was very delicious

This riad is so full of history, character and atmosphere. The 4 very generous ground floor bedrooms are accessed from the central courtyard / eating area. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. We were lucky enough to be able to eat there one evening and it was one of the best meals we had during our 2 week stay in Morocco. We tried unsuccessfuly to buy train tickets online from Meknès to Fes and when we expressed concern about not succeeding (it was a busy week with schools children on holiday), the manager Issam offered to go down to the train station himself to buy them for us, although it proved anything but straight forward even for him. Great location with easy access to the Mausoleum, Royal Palace area and Medina

Love, love, loved our stay at Dar Zerhoune. The location is great. The view from the terrace is wonderful. We especially enjoyed the kind, attentive staff. We took a cooking class at the accommodation one day and as well as learning how to cook a Moroccan meal, we got to learn about the local culture and experience shopping in the market. Room was nice with plenty of hot water and a heater that quickly heated the room to a comfortable temperature, we were there in February, so evenings could get a little chilly. We would gladly go back again. Very peaceful. One thing we would do next time is take advantage of some of the hiking nearby. We didn't get a chance to do that this time.

I had a wonderful first time 3 night stay at Hotel Swami. The single room with balcony that I occupied was very clean, and I found the bed to be especially comfortable. The room and bathroom were also very spacious with excellent lighting. Having an English movie channel on the TV was also a nice treat. My stay also included breakfast on the lovely 6th floor terrace, which offered some nice views. The choice of breakfast options was also incredible and well done. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful with quite few speaking excellent English.

We had a wonderful time at Riad Yamcha. The riad is beautifully furnished. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful roof terrace. The location is perfect for exploring Meknes. Unfortunately, most of the sights were being renovated at the time of our stay (May 2024). If we had known this, we would probably have skipped Meknes. The riad was still a highlight. We also had dinner in the riad at a large table with the other guests - we can highly recommend the food here. If we travel to Meknes again, we will gladly book here again.

From the moment we entered, we were warmly welcomed and treated to mint tea. We decided to go to a winery which we could not contact ourselves. Asmae arranged everything, contacting the winery and arranging the taxi. She was wonderful. We were also well looked after by Achraf who was waiting for us on our return and looked after us at breakfast. The Riad is located outside the Medina and well placed for visiting. Hopefully we will return on our next trip to Meknes.

Wonderfull experience! Beautiful and comfortable place, very clean, the staff was very helpful starting with our luggage because there is no elevator, and that was a big help for us as a group and ending with our wellbeing! The host of the hotel, Mrs. Karima is a very kind and warm lady who makes sure we have all we need! The Restaurant of the hotel has the best food from Meknes! We enjoy every lunch and dinner!

An underrated jewel.

An underrated jewel. People often skip Meknes in favour of Fez but i found it more authentic with far less hustle. The people are simply unfailingly helpful and charming. And there are many sights to see, including Volubilis which is mind-blowing

Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes.

Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes. The business people are less aggressive in trying to sell you something & it was easy to navigate around the city. Plenty of interesting architecture, Médina gates and nice places to eat.

Interesting medina, market and main square.

Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient. Use as a base for half day visit to Volubolis. Limited decent restaurants , most are in Riads. A restaurant with a terrace with nice views exists on inside of gateway near main gate
