IrelandThe hotel was amazing , swimming pool and a big private car park just in front of the hotel for safe parking which was great for parking my motorcycle and I could leave the luggage on it ,, the staff was the best ever he even took the time to order me take away from down town and had it delivered to the hotel for me ( had a long day on the motorcycle and didn’t fancy riding into town for food ) he couldn’t do enough, it’s an amazing hotel and everything you’ll ever need 👌👌

I feel that Meknes is generally under rated in the tourist destinations. It is really beautiful and there are many places to visit for example The premier art and cultural exhibition in Meknes is worth visiting, Meknes Medina, Bab Mansour Gate, Bou Inaniya Medrasa, Bab al-Khamis Gate etc.

An underrated jewel.
An underrated jewel. People often skip Meknes in favour of Fez but i found it more authentic with far less hustle. The people are simply unfailingly helpful and charming. And there are many sights to see, including Volubilis which is mind-blowing

Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes.
Meknes is more traditional & laid back than Fes. The business people are less aggressive in trying to sell you something & it was easy to navigate around the city. Plenty of interesting architecture, Médina gates and nice places to eat.

Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient. Use as a base for half day visit to Volubolis. Limited decent restaurants , most are in Riads. A restaurant with a terrace with nice views exists on inside of gateway near main gate

Very authentic city but lacking nice restaurants that felt clean. In the newer area there was a great place called Le Stream.
Favorite places were the music museum and mausoleum.
Petit Taxis were reasonably priced and made getting around the city inexpensive and easy.

Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that...
Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that the whole of Meknes is a building site! While there is a lot of renovation going on, there are still marvelous things to see and do. The medina is very interesting and comes with very little hassling. Its worth taking a day trip - or longer - to the mid Atlas mountains.

The was the best riad of our stay in Morocco. It’s the perfect central location and well signposted (which is quite rare in our experience!). The host was wonderful, with mint tea on arrival and many good recommendations for the city. The breakfast was amazing and we loved the rooftop seating area. The rooms were very traditional and very clean. I’d definitely be happy staying here again

We have stayed in many Riads throughout Morocco over the years and Riad Yamcha is one of our favourites.
The owners and staff are warm and friendly, the food is fantastic and the whole atmosphere was laid back. Our room was very comfortable and clean, plus the roof terrace has great views over Meknes. All in all we can highly recommend Riad Yamcha.

beautiful riad and very good and helpful staff. the breakfast was very tasty and the room was clean and well-kept. We really enjoyed our stay in this riad and will definitely go back if we visit Morocco again.

Everything was wery great. They are very nice, kind and helpful. The place was really clean. Besides I would like to point out that we had in Bab Berdaine Ryad the best dinner during our trip in Morocco!
