"Casablanca is not a tourist city - the locals will keep telling you that, which is shorthand for saying that prices will be much lower than in tourist areas and that is generally right. The essential two experiences are visiting the the Hassan II mosque and dining in Rick's cafe - very different experiences but both well worth doing. No photograph could do either justice. The tram is safe and relatively comfortable and easier to navigate than you might think. Get a two journey ticket from the machine - coins only although there was an option for contactless that I didn't try. The petit taxis are an interesting experience ans very varied - from the crazy driver who met us at the train station to the lovely man who tokk us back at the end of our stay and insisted on helping us with our bags all the way to the platform. A great experience and highly recommended but probably not for more than three days."

"Great place, very relaxing and very friendly locals. El Jadida is not heavily touristic which made it a nice break from Marrakesh, Fes, Tangiers etc as travelling in Morocco for a month. Highly recommended El Jadida for relaxing and wonderful people who live there."

The staff at La Sultana were all super friendly, polite and happy and could not do enough for us to make sure we had a fantastic stay. Each room has a mobile where you can whatsapp the team and they reply within minutes and they are always happy to accommodate special requests or dietary requirements. The area was beautiful and there were lots of activities available for guests.

I loved absolutely everything. This is one of the most beautiful Ryads I have been to (range 120-200 EUR). The owners (I met Whamid; sorry if I spelled that wrong) did an outstanding job with decoration and finding such wonderful people to work with them. Loved the on-site Spa service & rooftop🙏🏻 I will be back (inch’Allah).

A beautifully renovated, classy hotel with a modern and stylish interior. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of options including fresh fruit, pastries, freshly baked bread, and healthy “superfood” choices.

I only stayed overnight at a Casablanca airport hotel on my way back to Canada from Agadir, in southern Morocco. However, I have stayed in Casablanca on two other occasions. It's a very big city and I don't think that there's much to see, other than the huge King Hassan II Mosque. It has a spectacular setting, right on the ocean front. I saw the mosque for the first time after it was newly completed in the 1990s. I revisited the site again in 2025. Another place in Casablanca that is fun to visit and to have a good meal is Rick's Cafe. Of course it's not the real Rick's from the movie "Casablanca", but fun nonetheless. It even has a piano, but no Sam to play it. You can buy souvenir t-shirts, etc. to take home.

El Jadida was a convenient stop for us as we wanted to be reasonably close to the airport in Casablanca. The old town had a lot of history but not many shops or museums. The cisterns had been closed for construction for many months and they didn't seem to be opening soon. Without those it felt like attractions were a bit sparse. We had a pleasant visit for 2 nights.

If you want lots of places to visit, nightlife, shopping, etc. do not go to Oualidia! However, IF you want peace, tranquility, and a place to go to really wind down from the busyness of Marrakech or other major cities, this is the place for you! The ocean is beautiful, but not recommended for swimmers, so the natural lagoon in there for you. The water in the lagoon is cold, but refreshing...and MUCH safer. We ate most dinners at our hotel, and enjoyed the food, but ventured out one evening to have dinner at Ostrea, which was good as well. Main goal on this trip for us was just to R-E-L-A-X! Goal accomplished! :)

Mohammedia is a calm vibrant city that has everything for their residents and visitors. It is geographically placed between Casablanca and Rabat and the location is brilliant for people to commute and tour Morroco. In my opinion the best city in Morocco for many many reasons.

The View Bouznika is an absolute gem on Morocco's Atlantic coast. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed with breathtaking panoramic ocean views. The world-class wellness center — featuring thalassotherapy, heated seawater pools, hammam, and state-of-the-art spa treatments — is truly transformative. Breakfast was a daily highlight with a generous and diverse spread of fresh, high-quality options. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, the pools are pristine, and the overall atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between luxury and tranquility.

We went early to the waterfalls and it was really quiet which was great. The coffee shops, restaurants and shops weren't open. We weren't there for that so that was fine. There was lots of free parking. Falls were great and the trail interesting. Shame there is so much discarded plastic everywhere.

Beni Mellal is cute enough.

Beni Mellal is cute enough. The town seems chill and gives the right kind of Moroccan vibes. Since we went during Ramadan, eating wasn't much of a highlight: in the daylight hours we were forced to accept McDonald's drive-thru before heading out on a day trip, but that night we had pizza at Davinci Restaurant, which was surprisingly quite good (particularly if you're familiar with pizza in Morocco) and overall well managed. The region is even more spectacular: drive over the mountain range to Bin El Ouidane (1 hour) and continue to Ouzoud Falls (1 hour more) via Azilal (about midway in between). Gorgeous terrain!

Casablanca is what you expect wealth and extreme poverty...

Casablanca is what you expect wealth and extreme poverty side by side, mosque was worth a visit and trams work well but crossing any road is a near death experience but worst of all is the smoking, If you are a smoker your ok , every bar and hotel , indoors or out , restaurants, people smoke , I don’t know if they have smoking bans in Morocco but if they do it’s like everything else in this place no one obeys any rules. The beaches that I have seen are sandy if you could call it that but don’t think sun lounger more plastic chair so you need to find what they call private beach which means sunbeds swimming pool and access to the Atlantic Ocean, always rough. Usual charge is about 100 drms

Really enjoyed El Jadida, fabulous , incredibly reasonable, fish restaurants everywhere and the fort is tremendous. Sadly the big draw, the Cisterna was closed for renovation but I believe will re-open in May. Looks fabulous and is a real wonder of a place immortalised in one of the Bond films.
