The location is superb, a short walk into the heart of the charming town of Ducos, and a similar walk in the other direction takes you to the canal where you can rent a kayak. There's a nice grocery store across the street from the hotel, and the airport is nearby, but not too near, so you don't hear the airplanes. The rooms have a private bathroom with shower, large closet, nice desk, a small refrigerator, an individual air conditioner that works well, and excellent tv reception on a nice quality tv. Everything is meticulously clean, and the service is superb.

Our family of 5 had a fantastic and relaxing time at Palm Villas - We particularly enjoyed the beautiful, serene and private tropical landscaping around the property, the views on the surrounding hills and the ocean, the easy access (steps away literally) to a great and scenic local coastal hiking trail that also leads to a beautiful swimming spot in a Mangrove-bordered lagoon (there is a small beach area near the property, but not really a beach to hang out and swim), the private, spacious and very well appointed villa (we ended up cooking most nights, and we found the kitchen well equipped), the private pool, and the welcome local drink upon arrival We also appreciated the very responsive, thoughtful, flexible and guest-centered support from Pierre-Henri (our local contact for the Villa) throughout our stay (we had a few issues to deal with during our stay and in all cases he was prompt to communicate, and always put himself in our shoes -- as travelers who had come a long way to be there on vacation -- when trying to find a solution or providing us with the needed information). We also liked that the property was a little off the beaten paths and in a less "touristic" area on the island (which we liked, but this also means that it takes a little more time to get to those more "touristic" sites and beaches, though everything on the island (even nearby destinations) takes a little longer to get to anyways, as one must drive mostly on small windy (and at times mountainous) single-lane roads :-)

I had a fantastic short stay at Karibea Saint Luce Hotel. Everything about the experience was enjoyable—from the warm hospitality to the excellent accommodations. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing the perfect space to relax. The food was also a highlight of my stay. Every meal was delicious, with a great variety of options that truly enhanced the experience. The hotel's atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I had an amazing experience with the city been lively till 1pm. The atmosphere was cool and busy. Restaurants and bars were open all night making it easy to get something to eat or drink. Overall the people were welcoming and friendly.

The location and access to the beach and a variety of places to dine was great. Very friendly and helpful people who were very accommodating in spite of our lack of French. Favourite places to eat were l'Annexe and Ice'N Coffee. Also the Pizzeria and Glacier place near the Hangar had very friendly wait staff. The desserts here were the highlight. Try Kebb'ab by the casino. Quick, inexpensive and delicious. BBC recommended as a one of a kind gourmet snack.

It is a very nice commune, with sandy beaches and beautiful sunsets. Nearby, there are also places for snorkeling: Anse Figuier, and Pointe Borgnèse. Saint Luce has a good location for the most beautiful beaches.

Le Diamant is a great alternative to staying in the more touristy Les Trois Ilets, while remaining accessible to activities in the southern part of Martinique. Lodging in this area seemed to be a better value for money.

Saint-Anne is a great place to stay in Martinique, with direct proximity to one of the most beautiful beach we've seen in the south of the island. Everything is walkable distance which is great for backpackers like us. The town itself has plenty of small shops, markets and restaurants. It's quite touristic so the prices ain't cheap but there's quite a few options to eat out depending on your budget. The town feels authentic, we really enjoyed our time there.

Le Marin has a massive yacht basin which sets the tone for the shore side. There are lots of laundries, ship chandlers and grocery shopping to service boats. Also plenty of restaurants and bars. There is a yacht side of town and a local side of town -- both are interesting and pleasant. There is a large local market (not every day). This is not a mass tourist destination so it has preserved its local character. Safe and friendly.

Andra was incredible!!

Andra was incredible!! she took as much time as we wanted to tell us EVERYTHING about the Island, where to go, what to do. Showed us around the grounds at our stay. This is the only time I can recall where not a single detail could have been improved upon. 100 out of 10!!!!

There are only a couple of restaurants in Schoelcher and we had to drive to both so could not enjoy a drink. We did not feel that we could walk along a main road to the centre of town. There are no beach bars on the beach we stayed at and only 2 options on the beach in town. We had meals at both and they were "OK" at best. There is not much in the town centre and you find yourself driving elsewhere each day to find stuff to do. I'd recommend staying at Point du Bont or Diamond Beach which seemed to have more life and restaurants for the evening. Overall there were not many options to enjoy a meal.

The area was so lovely - Grande Anses and Les Anses were the two best beaches we came across during our 2 week stay - we had a car for 1 week and a yacht for the second so had ample opportunity to explore but at the end of our 2 weeks still thought where we started was best.

Although there were a lot of restaurants nearby, because it was the Thursday after carnival, there was not much available. The central location of the hotel made it easy to go around. The residents were friendly and helped in translating and pointing the way to the places we wanted to go to. I would recommend that hotel to anyone wishing to visit Martinique. We watched the carnival from the window and enjoyed it as it was a bit different from our carnival. Nice clean fun.
