The location was gorgeous and it was right on the beach. It was a beautiful hotel and we even got a free upgrade. Great food at the beach restaurant as well. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous.

The manager (Raul) is very attentive and always present if required. The rooms are spacious and each has a large balcony with superb views. Breakfast is varied and delicious! I ate so much it lasted ne all day! The hotel has a magnificent pool scene and bar that makes it difficult to want to go anywhere else. One minute walk away are the beautiful beaches where you can lounge all day, watch the amazingly beautiful sunset or pose for social media pics on the rocky outcrops between the beaches.

Our favourite place during our Mexico trip! We arrived at the hotel and were told that our reservation through Booking.com had not made it onto their system despite us having a confirmation email and the booking showing in the app. Jose was a star, ensuring we had a room. It was perfect. A great size, clean, sea view. I had the best nights sleep and a hot powerful shower. The breakfast buffet was also delightful. It had every option you could possibly wish for with a chefs station where you could request, eggs, omelettes etc. The team really could not do enough to help us. I’d 100% recommend and wish we were staying here for the remainder of our trip.

The location was fantastic! The outside of the hotel was great and very clean. The food was mostly Mexican but plenty of fresh fruit, cereal, pancakes and bread for breakfast. The hotel room was basic but did have a TV, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and a safe box.

Walking around historic Mazatlan, visiting family and...

Walking around historic Mazatlan, visiting family and getting a personal tour, and eating amazing food made the trip worth it. I will not go back in May, however, and don't recommend it unless you love, love, love the heat. It was a bit much for me, and as a result, I spent many hours in the pool. We also got amazing massages at Athina in historic Mazatlan, ate at Sinaloense, Totem, Elina Cafe, Pata Salada, La Caleta. Our group had a blast parasailing and learning about the city's history.

It’s a good mid point to stay if your traveling from San...

It’s a good mid point to stay if your traveling from San Carlos ( Guaymas) to Mazatlan . It’s safe , we parked our 26 ft RV in the parking lot without a problem . They have a Security guard on duty all night monitoring the lot .

This hotel may have been really nice in the past but...

This hotel may have been really nice in the past but nowadays it is in need of a full refurbishment and as the restaurant hours were 7am-3pm, there were no other facilities nearby , it was rubbish. The view we had of Culiacan in this area is commercial with very very busy road traffic absolutely terrible

Tobolobampo is a very small town with few decent restaurants...

Tobolobampo is a very small town with few decent restaurants. It's a poor and unremarkable pueblo, except for three things: 1) the Casa Aduana Hotel, 2) the views of the bay, and 3) the experience of a lifetime - meeting Pechocho, the area's famous wild dolphin, who loves being petted by humans in passing small boats.

Comparing Mazatlán with Los Cabos areas, hands down Mazatlán...

Comparing Mazatlán with Los Cabos areas, hands down Mazatlán is more inexpensive and has far more attractions to enjoy. We visit both regularly, but we just seem to enjoy the sense of community and friendliness towards visitors.

Arguably the best beach resort in Mexico in terms of overall appeal. Value for money;gorgeous beach promenade rivalling Rio de Janeiros Copacabana/Ipanema, historical charm, cuisine and a very welcoming local population.
