The location was gorgeous and it was right on the beach. It was a beautiful hotel and we even got a free upgrade. Great food at the beach restaurant as well. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous.

The manager (Raul) is very attentive and always present if required. The rooms are spacious and each has a large balcony with superb views. Breakfast is varied and delicious! I ate so much it lasted ne all day! The hotel has a magnificent pool scene and bar that makes it difficult to want to go anywhere else. One minute walk away are the beautiful beaches where you can lounge all day, watch the amazingly beautiful sunset or pose for social media pics on the rocky outcrops between the beaches.

Our favourite place during our Mexico trip! We arrived at the hotel and were told that our reservation through Booking.com had not made it onto their system despite us having a confirmation email and the booking showing in the app. Jose was a star, ensuring we had a room. It was perfect. A great size, clean, sea view. I had the best nights sleep and a hot powerful shower. The breakfast buffet was also delightful. It had every option you could possibly wish for with a chefs station where you could request, eggs, omelettes etc. The team really could not do enough to help us. I’d 100% recommend and wish we were staying here for the remainder of our trip.

We were on an eclipse tour with my fiancée’s undergraduate group, completed that organized segment of our time and wanted to move away from the Americanized hotel area. So, as I did in the 1970s, I sought out another tegion of Mazatlan. The hotel was excellent and we were told of two superb nearby restaurants.

This is a small hotel of about 30 rooms. The rooms are small, but they are clean, decent TV, the Wi-Fi was extremely strong. The shower was also nice and hot. This is a basic hotel, the front desk speaks a little bit of English, they were very professional and helpful. I ended up staying here two extra weeks just because I enjoyed it, not to mention that the price was incredibly low.

Loved Mazatlan, great bus service and great restaurants. Very clean downtown and long beaches to take long walks. Lots of birds to enjoy, and lots of little shops. Very enjoyable place. No safety concerns, just be aware and do not flaunt wealth. We stayed in 3 areas, Cerritos (not alot of restaurants, very quiet), golden zone closer to downtown (alot of construction, but can bus or walk everywhere) Downtown, old town, (lots of great restaurants and cafes but still within walking distance to beach). Each has their merrit.

We love to walk the beach.we find the music is loud and annoying at times things are getting expensive over priced for lots of things cheaper in Canada we like meeting and making new friends I still like mazatlan .we will return in a couple of years

There were a few nice beaches and the market in old mazatlan was great. Buses were easy to get on and off and a good price. Golden zone smells like sewage. It is busy and hardly anyone that can speak English. So loud!! It is over populated and filthy. Definitely would not recommend golden zone or the malecon. The beaches along the malecon and golden zone are gross!!! One little section in front of the marriot that is ok, otherwise run!! Best beaches are at emerald bay, deer island (grab a boat in front of holiday inn for 150 pesos return) and stone island (get a boat at the old marina for 35 pesos return) If you want to shop, avoid the malls, Malecon and golden zone. Everything you could want is in old mazatlan and at way better prices. Research cab fares before you go. One will charge 300 and the next 800. Download uber so you have a back up way to get around. Have fun, explore the small towns around. Glad we went, but won't go back!

Mazatlán is my favorite beach destination in Mexico, with plenty of beaches and accommodations to choose from, for all budgets. Vibrant city center and the longest boardwalk in Mexico. Small town feel but with all the services expected from a big city. Perfect vacationing spot!

I spent 4 nights here. 2 nights would have been enough. The historical centre is compact and can be experienced in 1 day. The walk along the malecon of Olas Atlas beach is nice and took me about 90 mins to reach Playa Gaviotas beach. You can get one of the green buses back to the historical centre for 13 Pesos. Again, 1 day exploring the beach is enough as the sea is not fit for swimming in.

Mazatlan has the best weather, the best sea views, rainbows, the most beautiful sun risings, and sun downs. a lot of cheap and clean places to eat, shrimps, fish, etc (Costa marinera, el guamuchilito, panama) best place for fishing¡¡ great place for joggin all the coastal had an exclusve line for bikes, so its great for look and do exercise Great places for music and fun, and cheap rates (el muchacho alegre) The best place to visit, you will be back in love¡¡¡

People were nice, prices fairly high, and not a lot to do if you enjoy hiking and seeing sites. Aquarium was interesting, but not much english. This wasn't a problem, as we have limited spanish. Probably won't go back until cartel stabilizes. You really can't go out of the downtown area to sight see.

The many upgrades done to the Malecon and all of the sidewalks over the past two years is amazing. Visits to the lighthouse and Cerritos were great. The Aquarium was not as good as expected but hopefully once the new one opens next door it will be way better. Many very good restaurants all over the city and the market in Centro is certainly worth a visit. Panama, Fat Fish, Topolo, just to name a few Buy the fresh shrimp (Prawns) at the market and take it to the restaurant across the road and they will clean and cook them any way you want!! The Pulmonia taxis are an abundant and cheap way to get around...make sure you bargain a bit

Crazy busy Golden Zone street that traffic clogs all day and night. The old town is worth a look but there's not really a lot of other attractions there. Maybe if you're in a high-end all-inclusive like the Riu or a condo and just want to sit by the pool and walk on the beach it would be a good town to visit. If this was my first Mexican experience I would not go back.

Lots to see and do or spend time resting and relaxing in the beautiful weather. The locals are very friendly and inviting, never had a bad experience. We ate great food, great access to groceries, convenience , pharmacy. We managed to get by with almost no Spanish but will definitely learn more which will make the experience even better. They enjoy/ appreciate it when you can use and understand basic Spanish.

Relaxing and inexpensive. It has some really beautiful places, really good restaurants and bars, but some of them are kind of hidden, and you really have to look for them, otherwise you will end up on a tourist trap.

The location was fantastic! The outside of the hotel was great and very clean. The food was mostly Mexican but plenty of fresh fruit, cereal, pancakes and bread for breakfast. The hotel room was basic but did have a TV, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and a safe box.
