Great place with amazing staff. The walk to the beach is very doable. It looks high but the pathway they created makes it very easy. Beach is simply amazing. The staff also needs mentioning. Amazing service all round.

I liked everything about this property: the owner, Dorcas, the young lady, care taker, the guards of the site. One day before the trip, the owner inquired about any specific need we could have. He gave us all the necessary instructions. I highly recommend to bring the necessary ingredients to cook for yourself because once there you do not feel like going out!! the beach is 2 min from the villa, no crowd, perfect, clean, quiet, ideal for energy regeneration. In addition to that the magnific swimming pool at the villa. The house is comfortable and nicely decorated. I will go back!! I liked it and highly recommend it!

We loved our stay at Nkanhe Lodge, because it is calm and the breakfast is excellent, the meals made in the restaurant are very delicious, the staff are very attentive, its good location has been an advantage. The pool, the green of the plants, what we asked for online we found when we got there, my wife and I will definitely be back again. Especial thanks for the staff

A definite must stay for all Travellers who are on a strict budget. The restaurants are dirt cheap, food is amazing. If you are looking for a holiday where you do not feel like a stranger in a strange land please go to Mocanbique. The locals are such beautiful humans, friendly, helpful, warm and remember to smile. Do not steal the joy out of the locals. Unfortunately, there are alot of white South Africans that stay at Ponta Du Uoro and own businesses who give Mocambique an unfriendly atmosphere. I bought only at the local vendors so the people of Mocambique were benefitting from my spending. Find out who owns the shops and only support the locals.

Get ready to deflate your car tyres and sink your toes into the sand and soak up the breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean at this stunning property! The surrounding area is a sandy haven, perfect for barefoot strolls. Be prepared for a scenic hike down a dune to reach the beach, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it! The beach itself is a tropical paradise, with crystal-clear blue waters and locals offering rejuvenating massages. You will find beach tents and chairs for hire, all you need to bring is your towel. Just a heads up: the tent guys only take cash (R200 for a tent and 2 chairs in our case), but they happily accept both Mozambican currency and South African Rand. On a brighter note, the beach bar accepts card payments, so you can sip on your favorite drinks without a hitch. Whether you are a hiking enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing beach day, this spot has got you covered! The property serves a delicious breakfast and unbelievably tasty seafood for dinner.

Great beach (careful if you have smaller children though as the waves can be very strong). Plenty of places to eat out, some good, some bad but certainly enough to choose from. Haggle with the quad bike guys, they usually give you a discount. Quads are a great way of exploring all the off road tracks, some cracking views you would otherwise miss out on. Can be very busy during public holiday weekends.

Ponta Malongane is lovely.

Ponta Malongane is lovely. The beaches are lovely and clean and the people are very friendly. We went out on a boat and saw dolphins and whales, it was great. The pao's (Portuguese for "bread") is lovely and the housekeeper at Alfie's House brought us a few pao's every morning, which were enjoyed by all.

You can't visit neighbouring beaches if you don't have a 4x4. And to get on a ferry/boat becomes expensive. So if you are in Ponta do Ouro, that is where you'll stay unless you have the above

The kind of place that grows on you.

The kind of place that grows on you. The roads are very sandy in places so deflate your tires and you will manage well. 4x4 is not a must but certainly preferable. The road to Ponta Malongane is a track mostly but follow the directions and ask the locals as you go... They are very helpful
