Beautiful property and the perfect place to end our trip through Namibia. We only wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the peaceful area and the tours they offer. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent as well.

On our 3 week trip in Namibia, this was our number one lodge! When we checked in we were upgraded and got a very romantic stay. Seeing the milkeyway from your bed was an amazing experience! The next stay, we had a horse ride in the beautiful environment. The guide was excellent, giving lots of explanations on the farm.

We stayed in one of the basic "tent rooms" which overall are designed to give a glamping experience - everything needed for a good night sleep in a minimalstic setting. Comfortable bed, clean spacious room, nice tent window openings to enjoy the sunrise and nature sounds. The view from the room and the restaurant was simply superb. The restaurant chefs went beyond to accomodate food restrictions and, overall, the regular and special menus were excellent. Ultimately, what makes this place overall stand out and totally worth staying at are its location, the views, and the unqiue activities (rhino tracking on foot!).

We stayed one night at the Waterberg Wilderness ONE and a second night at the Waterberg NWR Restcamp. The views from the ONE were outstanding (we were upgraded to the Plateau Lodge), but the lodging costs were much higher. The NWR had surprisingly nice facilities, considering they are state-owned. Staying in either location requires guests to eat there or to self-cater. The ONE location lodging includes breakfast and dinner. The NWR location includes breakfast, with dinner served at the restaurant (ordering from a menu with decent choices). We did a game drive through the NWR, which was much more affordable, but we did not get to see much (it was the wrong time of the year to see animals at watering holes). That drive is to the Waterberg Plateau, which is a wonderful trip in itself (even without seeing much wildlife). The ONE game drives are more expensive, but go to their own reserve to view rhinos (probably available year-round).
