Modern hotel, great breakfast, kind staff

From the outside, I really wasn’t expecting much more than a motel but as soon as we stepped inside and were greeted by Thomas on reception, I knew this was going to be great. Freeflow coffee was available for guests in reception and in a station inside the cafe/restaurant too. Check in was smooth and we were soon in our very comfortable, airy and large room. The beds were super comfortable with pillows and duvets like marshmallows covered in crisp clean linen. There were plenty of sockets to charge electrical items and lots of surfaces to place our personal items. The bathroom shower was excellent and very powerful with lots of hot water. Although the hotel is attached to the Mall with a number of supermarkets and McDonald’s, We had dinner in the hotel’s on site restaurant - we both had schnitzel - and it was plentiful and delicious. Our waiter also refilled the bottle of water for us too. Breakfast was a thing of beauty - so much choice and everything supremely well cooked and warm too. The cinnamon rolls were gorgeous. I had a great night’s sleep as the curtains blocked out the light and we were not disturbed by any road noise. It really was a pretty perfect stop over and I’m only sorry we had just one night.

On first impression, we were a little skeptical due to the "rustic" appearance, especially of our room. However, it turned out to be a very pleasant stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the location beautiful and quiet. And the breakfast in the morning was deliciously served in a nice dining area.

How close it was to the sk resort and how the room was adjusted to the occasion. There was a bench in the room that was really helpful when putting on my ski boots

Great location, beautiful views and possibility to jump on cross country skies right outside of the estate. Very welcoming hosts and atmosphere. Definitely would recommend as a place to stay. Authentic.

It was really clean. The furniture and decorations where old, yes but that was charming! There was a lot of selection for breakfast. Our car didn’t start the next morning due to the effect of the cold that night and our host was very helpful and called a friend for help.

It's a really cozy and nice place with everything you need. We slept really good in this wooden cabin and the mountain air was fantastic. Breakfast is delicious. Just be aware that if you book a room with shared bathrooms you have to bring your own bed linen (or you can rent). It's is really calm area with no distraction.

The Vestlia resort has exceeded our expectations. It has an excellent location just next to the Geilo main ski slopes, that offer great opportunity to ski directly from the hotel. The hotel itself is really great, the interior brings you back in 80s and 90s and have a charm of fused modern style with the antique. The staff was amazingly friendly! For family with the kids, you have so many activities to do (swimming pool, bowling, activity room, cinema) which make your stay so much fun. The restaurant was also nice and breakfast was great. We had such a great holiday! Manythanks!

Stunning hosting in a stunning architecture, just wonderful!

It was comfortable and homely. Food and choice of wines were excellent. We were made to feel very welcome.

Great Room Very good Heating even tho it had -18C outside Owner and his Dog are just perfect and he is very caring for you And I was even able to see the polar lights from the Back in the night
