Staff was friendly and helpful. I even got in before 1500. To my surprise I was handed a small renovated townhouse. Very well equipped : kitchen, bath, large sofa, large bed etc. On top I had a small garden attached on the back of the house. Dinner at night served a fine soup and a very tasty fish. They serve wine and beers too. Morning breakfast was all you could ask! And with the host (I guess) serving and supplementing coffee. I even was offered some food for the road (with my bicycle). The location Sogndalstrand is charming, authentic and just near the sea. The hotel owns a number of renovated town houses.

The location is fantastic, being right on the water. The drawback is that there are occasionally cruise ships docked right in front of the hotel. Many bars and restaurants within walking distance, but the food offered by the hotel was quite good (and included in the price). Central bus terminal is just a short walk away, too. The cathedral (being renovated until 2025) is very close, as well as the rest of "Old Stavanger". Many museums within walking distance, as well.

Americans first time in Norway. From the moment we stepped into the grand lobby, we were captivated. This hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff were incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. Our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style, boasting breathtaking views and luxurious amenities. Every detail, from the impeccably clean linens to the thoughtfully curated decor, spoke of refined elegance. Beyond the room, the hotel offered a wealth of experiences, from the delectable cuisine at the upscale restaurant. It truly felt like a pampered escape from reality.

Very friendly town - lots to do and see locally, a short plane ride from Oslo and a bus station in town easily connecting you further afield. Friends went swimming and walking and recommended the museum. I also found a good range of pricing options across activities , dining etc so although overall Norway was not cheap it was cheaper than I expected and I holidayed within budget

Host was friendly and helpful.

Host was friendly and helpful. Apartment was very clean and comfortable with nice amenities. Location was slightly challenging, construction site adjacent to property, horse stalls directly behind apartment. We arrived late afternoon and left fairly early the next morning. I think it will be wonderful when all construction is completed.

The hotel is in a quiet residential area, not far from the supermarket and town. It provides limited parking spaces, which is convenient for bringing a car. Their breakfast is a good value for the money, I would highly recommend taking the option when you stay there.

The 12th century cathedral was so interesting. The book on sale at reception gave a very good history. The petroleum exhibition was very interesting. I really understood the importance of finding oil to Norway, although the accidents endured by families was heartrending.
