My room was spacious, well-equipped, quiet and had a great view to the sea, the city itself and one of the mountains in the area. The members of the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was also good (the breakfast room was on the top floor of the building and also had a great view). In conclusion, I had an excellent stay here.

My twin sister and I had an absolutely magical stay at Moxy Tromsø. The location is perfect, just a 6 minute walk from a bus stop with a direct connection to the airport. The hotel features a rooftop with a privileged view of the Northern Lights, without having to pay for a tour to witness this incredible natural phenomenon. We will never forget this place. We experienced one of the most special nights of our lives here, surrounded by auroras dancing across the Arctic sky.

We had a beautiful suite with a big terrace to enjoy the view of mountains. Perfect for a family stay (5 people). The staff was always helpful and friendly. Probably best breakfast we had in all the nordic countries. Next to hotel there is a supermarket, cafe and gas station. Also some roads to do running and 24 hour free access to gym (which was very clean and new-looking).

Really nice studio. Stayed in the upper floor . Facing west side of the sky I watched the Aurora dancing from the sofa of the living room. Excellent breakfast buffet as well. Tried the Hot tub completely value for money although the water temperature was around 35 ( Would be better if it around 40 , not complaining though) . The property also has lots of parking spaces with Electrical charging . Overall a 10/10 stay.

The room was huge and immaculate. The view was outstanding. The plugpoints by the bed were helpful and the bathroom was very big and convenient. The breakfast was decent. I am vegetarian and options are always less for me but others might probably love it a whole lot more. They gave me a kettle to use in the room.

The staff - especially at reception - was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Coffee, tea and espresso were available in the lobby at all times. The room was comfortable, though relatively small. The breakfast was excellent and the location perfect. Very positive experience.

The hut was amazing. Staff was definitely friendly and very helpful on how to go around Senja. The small appartement next to the hut made the overall very comfortable and an amazing experience, even though we did not see the aurora due to the snowing weather!

Everything, a fantastic place to spend a night en route from Lofoten to Tromsø. Amazing restaurant, loved the halibut. Small village with incredible views. Especially Knuten for the midnight sun.

Easy to get around.

Easy to get around. Public buses were excellent value and very regular. The tourist info office was very helpful. Easy to get transport to the airport. Ideal stop off point after Hurtigruten Bergen to Tromso.

A calm, clean, colorful little town. The proximity of Narvik, which I have always wanted to visit, the proximity of trails for hiking and mountain walks. Amazing atmosphere when the sun does not set (June).

Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to...

Very picturesque island, two days is more than enough to explore it. Sunshine is a rarity. End of season mid August. Place for camper vans to park. One shop and one cafe. You can buy only beer in a shop, no alcohol. For a harder spirits you need to travel to Tromso. Bring your food if you can, shops sells very simple and not very good staff. More or less decent meal you can have in an arctic hotel, which is pricey and just ok, no more, choice is limited.

A very quiet and nice town.

A very quiet and nice town. People live and work there are very nice and helpful. The location is center of every scenic spot with short distance drive. The hotel has a restaurant, provide excellent breakfast and dinner.

A nice area to visit and so different from many places in...

A nice area to visit and so different from many places in Norway. The countryside is so different from part to parts on the island of Senja. The same with the local people, more quiet at the inner part/Eastern side of the island. Then more outspoken and louder when to speak to the ones on the Western side of the island. Great place to visit if you are to lock for the Aurora Borealis, and also close to Tromsoe. Either by a car or just for a day-trip with different boats.

Lots of things to do - there is a park running north in the...

Lots of things to do - there is a park running north in the middle of Tromso, many varied museums to see, apart from the Tromse Uni Museum (the Arctic Museum) near Telegrafbukta (bus no 40) I suggest you visit the Troll Museum. It is not only for kids. You will understand where the troll-legend originated from, if "mara", the witch who sits on people's breasts when they sleep and makes it difficult to breath is part of your culture - you will learn more about her and how she married, you will hear a piece to the devil on the hardanger fiddle. There are many grocery stores and restaurants in the centre, bus connection all over the island and beyond, don't miss a trip on bus no 26 through the underwater tunnel to Tromsdalen. It is nice to pay attention to details - the nice blue round information plaques on buildings (unfortunately only in Norwegian) and the many sculptures. The many references to the Sami culture (gift shops, flag, events) and to the Northern Lights are unique and appreciable.

A gateway to other areas like Lofoten.

A gateway to other areas like Lofoten. My recommendation is to stay further afield to the full extent you can. as things like quiet, darkness and views all improve a lot away from the airport. And once you do... it can be magic.

Nice place for a short stay.

Nice place for a short stay. Without a car you run out of options quickly. Smaller hiking trips and ski tours possible in the valley. Northern lights possible when there is no midnight sun. No supermarket in the village.

Tromso is a typical tourist town that , like many others in the world, exist because of its location. Basically a bit of a tourist trap. Like most of Norway VERY expensive. Some of the trips you can book are idiotically expensive.

The city itself is not necessarily special or historic (though some bits are) but the area around the city has some great scenic walks and of course the outlook across the sea/bay is stunning at any time of year, but particularly in the blue hour of the winter days. Lots of buses run regularly to outlying areas and there are fast buses to the airport to connect with flight check-in times. Take a walk along Stien langs sjøen (path along the shore) to the Trondenes Historical Museum (great wee cafe there) and the Adolf cannon from WW2.
