Beach is just over the road and the view is incredible. The hosts and staff were so kind and helpful. Free parking right outside. Great value for money too.

Also stuff was so polite and kept our baggage after check out since our flight was in the evening. Also everybody are very kind, helpful and whatever you ask them they are here to help if they can.

hotel very close to the airport, we arrived late in the evening and there was staff at the reception waiting for us. Comfortable rooms (for the hairdryer ask at the reception) and breakfast from sweet to savory really large and delicious. positive note is the kindness of the staff. The lady at the reception helped us with the taxi reservation (departure with flight at 6 - the lady advised us to go to the airport only an hour before because it is a small airport and opens late, also the check in and boarding are very fast). and helped us with useful information. You can get there by bus 176 (Fokserød stop) which is right in front of the hotel (as soon as you get off the bus you see the sign). Nearby there is a petrol station open at night with food and drinks and a mac donalds). At the same stop stops the bus from Oslo busstatjon. Excellent place for those traveling on torp.

Villa is on rock bed on a coast of a drammenfjord, amongst pine trees.
Fine art pictures on a walls. Nice balcon with a sea view. Private beach is ideal for leisure, great option for boat activities. Easy to keep your boat or paddleboard here.
City is in one km from here. Bus stop is just near a villa.
Gunvor, its hostess, is kindest lady I ever seen. She is happy to offering for guests any kind of conveniences. She helped Me so much with her car. For her sense of humor, friendliness my daughters are love her from first minute.

The rooms were beautifully designed, with so much attention to every little detail. Everything was spotless, and the gorgeous antique pieces throughout the hotel were truly special ,we could never get tired of looking at them!
The owner was helpful, kind, and friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. You can really feel how much care and thought has been put into creating this beautiful place.

This is not a big luxurious hotel chain. It is a very modest comfortable establishment with friendly staff and an friendly old Dog. I loved the place. It was exactly what I needed. I could even help myself with a coffee and a cookie, free of charge.

Lovely city by the sea, nice parks plenty of restaurants and bars easy access to the train and bus station. trains run regularly and on time just two hours to Oslo. Plus easy access to other towns and cities.

This is a quiet city, with a pleasant waterfront to walk, a fortress ruin to climb to and explore. The main square has several outside restaurants to enjoy the summer sun and people watch.
Dining is somewhat limited to mostly pizza, catering mainly to visitors.
The cathedral has very limited open hours, as does the sole Catholic church. The cemetery offers a calm, peaceful place to picnic.

I don't think we saw Larvik at its' best - on a cold, dark and windy December night - the restaurants mainly all shut around 9pm which left us with a slightly dodgy Chinese takeaway in which we found a hair, so not great. However, what we did see was quaint and pretty with a beautiful harbour.

The people of Norway are friendly and warm. Their respect for each other shines through. It is a family-friendly place. You can walk to venues in the centre. The James Clark pub was the best bar we visited.

Tonsberg has a nice centre with many restaurants to chose from especially along the harbour (still busy at weekends in late August) and a pretty promenade along the fjord to Nordbyen.
We managed to take the bus to Verdens Ende, and the beautiful car-free island of Veierland as well as the train to Oslo, during our 4 day stay, using the wonderful public transport system and VKT and VY apps

On a road trip through Norway, knowing what I know now, I would have stayed here longer. My ferry is on Wednesday, so I have a day and a half to get to Kristiansand. I would have preferred to stay here longer, lovely hotel, great staff and lovely facilities. Put this on your radar for a stop over.

Beautiful little town, excellent shops for some browsing. Food shops are good too with lots of variety. There’s E-Scooters everywhere which makes travelling a breeze. If your into nature, this is a great place to go. There’s lots of different hikes and trails, we spent a long time getting lost in the cliffs on sunny days. Very easy train station, with access to Oslo main in less than 2 hours. Food prices are good and there’s lots of places to eat if you want. Locals speak English and are very accommodating. Definitely would love to go back!

Disappointing stay in Tønsberg – poor hospitality and zero accountability
My experience in Tønsberg was ruined by an unacceptable apartment booking situation. The host canceled on arrival due to “double-booking,” gave no assistance, and the alternative accommodation was dirty and poorly managed. It’s shocking that in a busy summer town like Tønsberg, some hosts feel entitled to treat visitors this way – with no responsibility or professionalism. This left me with no trust in local hosts and no desire to return. Tønsberg may be charming, but this level of service is not.
