"Tunnel beach was amazing, we enjoyed Long Beach as well, and we saw a seal and some little blue penguins nesting. Loved exploring the caves at Long Beach. Shopping was excellent, and we ate out at Cable ways in Kaikorai Valley which we cannot recommend enough, huge delicious meals and wonderful service from very nice staff. We had a wonderful time at Moana Pool too, the hydroslides are excellent and fun! Good for all ages."

"The beaches south of Kakanui (All Day Bay was one that I would recommend to families with little ones) shame about the number of freedom campers with a camping ground five minutes up the road at Kakanui. The Town was clean and tidy and dripping with history and locals very friendly , do recommend the gardens. I will be back"

Rating: ★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered my room, I was captivated by the breathtaking view it offered. The panorama of The Remarkables mountain range and the tranquil lake was simply mesmerizing, creating a serene backdrop that set the tone for a perfect getaway. The room itself was a haven of comfort, with thoughtful amenities and a cozy ambiance. Clean, well-appointed, and strategically located, it made for a delightful retreat after a day of exploration. What stood out to me was the proximity of the pool – just a stone's throw away. This convenient placement added an extra layer of enjoyment to my stay, providing a refreshing escape and a perfect spot to unwind. The attentive staff members contributed significantly to the overall positive experience. Their warmth and willingness to assist made me feel truly welcomed, enhancing the sense of hospitality that permeates this establishment. Whether you're a nature enthusiast drawn to the allure of The Remarkables, a fan of peaceful lakeside vistas, or someone who appreciates a well-designed room with easy access to recreational facilities, this place ticks all the boxes. It's a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation, and I can't wait to return to indulge in the tranquility and beauty that define this remarkable retreat.

You’d struggle to get a better view to relax and enjoy than this one!! The rooms are large and well fitted with comfy beds, swivel TV’s to enjoy on the couch or bed, and all the essentials of a hotel stay. On site dinner is a must - unreal food! The staff are incredible and very helpful with info on the local area/NZ travel ideas. Plenty of free parking right up at the property, too. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we can’t wait to come back one day!

Absolutely loved it. Our air bnb had a great view. So much to see even if you're not a snow sports person. Lots to do. Walter Peak is a good trip out and the tour to Milford sound. Fergburger is a must and so many good places to eat. Arrowtown is lovely and a short drive to Wanaka. Lots of Lord of the Rings areas to visit too We did the Shotover jet, so much fun and the Onsen pools. With the pools though if you are older and have issues with steep steep hills maybe pick a different place

Dunedin is a beautiful city to visit full of history & charm. You need good walking shoes and good knees to negotiate the very steep Dunedin hills. The shopping In Dunedin was fabulous a mix of up market and some excellent op shops. Being a student city it has a buzz of its own. Easy city to drive around with stunning harbour views. Friendly helpful people everywhere we went. Great coffee and cafes with delicious food.

We loved the Homestead above Arrowtown! Rustic but warmed by the fireplace and woodburning stove. Plenty of wood. Quiet, peaceful and insane views of Arrowtown, Coronet Peak, and other mountains. PERFECT for our family of four. We played games. Made breakfast. Read books. Relaxed in solitude but proximity to fun town stuff. They provided a welcome bottle of wine and treats. Kitchen had espresso machine. Highly recommend it.

A small community on Lake Dunstan, but with everything you might need. The Heritage Precinct is well worth a visit. Bike rentals available for independent biking, or for guided tours of the surrounding area. We were very glad we chose to stay in Cromwell , rather than the very commercialized Queenstown.
