The Omelette for breakfast was very good! I love how they have partnered with a local fitness club for gym access - I will remember this for next time and pack gym gear. We arrived late in the evening, the location was perfect and walking distance to a few good choices for dinner (Koi Cambridge!). I loved the 11am checkout - it allowed us to walk around the lake after breakfast, freshen up and check out.

Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Really lovely and welcoming staff. Great facilities including an onsite restaurant and bar, which also did breakfast - we loved being able to get room service too! We also really enjoyed using the swimming pool and tennis court. And it was super helpful having access to a laundry room which was very reasonably priced.

The location was very beautiful over looking the lake. Many lush greenery and cute lemon trees. The room was very comfortable and cozy. The duty managers Peter and Sherwin-Dan were very helpful and accommodating. They both gave excellent service. I highly recommend the HILTON LAKE TAUPO to anyone who will visit Taupo.

This Motel was one of the best I have ever stayed in. It is absolutely spotless has everything that you would need plus more. Spacious unit with lovely views across the lake. The host was very helpful and friendly and made me feel welcome straight away on arrival. The atmosphere of this motel is relaxed and inviting. The private plunge pool was a bonus and again was spotless. In all it shows that the owners care. Highly recommend.

The room was large and comfortable with a lovely private deck backing onto a green space. The bathroom was well lit and spacious. The bed super comfy. Everything was clean and there was lots of storage space. The proximity to the hot pools and the discount for entry was great. The staff were awesome - friendly, helpful, attentive, welcoming.

Taupo was a beautiful spot to spend time at and unwind from the business of life. If you are into water sports then you will have no problem entertaining yourself. And for others who just want to relax, enjoy nature there s also plenty of things to occupy your time with. Take a jet boat ride to view Huka Falls or if you want to take it slower go on the river cruise to Huka Falls both provide great photo shots

Lovely little town - the fourt largest in New Zealand, we learned. It has an authentic core (not too touristy) while still being very welcoming. Many restaurants to choose from, and the town is safe and well organized. For us, the highlight was our visit to the Hamilton Gardens, which are truly exceptional, on a global scale. Go!

Turangi is a nice small town but it locates in the heart of NZ popular national park, Tongariro. There are so many wonderful nature around Turangi and its really worth to base in this wonderful lovely town if you want to sightsee or do lots of activities around Tongariro National Park.

A long, sweeping beach excellent for swimming / sun bathing. The marina area has a great busy vibe, with boats, cafes and walking paths. The downtown village area has everything you need, and posesses and a really relaxed Kiwi seaside charm. The beauty of Whitianga is apart from its own beach, you're in easy reach (with a car) of numerous other stunning beaches. Cooks beach is just a ferry ride and short walk away as well. We visited / swam at five beaches in six days.

Walking through the Kauri at Long Bay.

Walking through the Kauri at Long Bay. Driving Creek railway, Waterworks - been to both before but they didn't disappoint - even with teens! Also great experience, food, service and prices at the pub and Taco food van.

Cambridge is the most well laid out town centre, with easy free parking, respectful drivers of pedestrians on crossings. It has a great variety of cafes, restaurants and shopping for all ages. My number one town to visit

Raglan is a lovely beach town.

Raglan is a lovely beach town. It’s fun to walk around and look at the shops. Lots of great food options in town. There are great day trips from there, too! Kawhia Hot Water Beach was awesome! Bridal Veil Falls cannot be missed. Te Toto Lookout is a wild drive but the view is incredible.

Our tour of the Ruakura cave was great.

Our tour of the Ruakura cave was great. Our tour guide held the kids' attention the entire way and answered all of their questions. The caves are amazing to see and this walking tour is just the right length, even for young kids. Don't forget to book ahead and take a warm top as it is quite chilly down there.

The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set. This is an amazing experience, our second trip. Have done both the lunch & dinner experience. Food, staff & experience rate a 10. Had a great meal at Sofra, food & staff were great. Breakfast at The Rich Coffee Cafe was nice and the staff were ok. Visited the I-Centre too and found the staff to be helpful.

We loved it.

We loved it. The grandkids loved the playground by the mall area. We had a great time at the Goldmine experience and fully recommend this as they were very informative and something different to see. Everything was close by with ample parking which made it easier to get around. Wea made our meals although meal delivery is possible. The ocean is also close. Would love to come back to Thames at some point
