Staff was great, the breakfast was delicious and carefully thought out. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms well taken care of. There's a pool and fire pit which we didn't get to use do to the quick nature of our trip (we were there for 2 days for a wedding). We were easily accommodated when we asked for early check in and late check out. Plus the hotel is a 2-minute walk from the bus station.

We went to Oxapampa to celebrate my wife's birthday and reserved a room for 3 nights at Cemayu Lodge after a recommendation from a family friend. The place is very nice and the rooms are really comfortable, the exterior ground well kept and beautiful. The staff was extremely serviceable and professional. I told them that the next day it would be my wife's birthday and if they could provide a small cake. They did it superbly! Breakfasts were tasty and all the dining room staff were very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Oxamampa is a beuatiful, small town surrounded by an amazing landscape. People are very friendly and helpful. Great choice of tours in and around town, Big variety of restaurants and bars with tasty local specialties and artesanal beers.

Nice town with good climate; fresh during the evening and...

Nice town with good climate; fresh during the evening and night and sunny and warm during the day. One can find affordable accommodation in Oxapampa and several options for day trips and excursions. There are tons of tour agency offices in town and they all offer a hand full of similar tours to neighboring towns and places. Traffic is calm and easy in Oxapampa and there are plenty of restaurants and stores with decent prices.

There's a combination of full day and half day tours...

There's a combination of full day and half day tours available from Oxapampa. I did a Chontabamba tour on my first day there which was less than 4 hours. Then I did a longer tour my next day there. Loma Tours are a good agency. It's a small town so you can easily walk it. If you're going to the Mariposario, that's a bit futher out so get a taxi.
