Loved our stay here. We were able to check in early and they stored our luggage for us after check out so that we could stay until the afternoon. Kitchen is pretty well equipped, bungalows are clean and get daily housekeeping which was appreciated. We also rented a scooter for a day for a reasonable price. Beautiful beach and sunsets with some kayaks to explore the surroundings.

We had a truly wonderful stay! The host was absolutely amazing – kind, welcoming, and always available whenever we needed anything. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed during our time here. The place itself was spotless, well-maintained, and offered excellent value for the price. The location is perfect, close to everything you might want to see or do. What really made the experience special was the host’s genuine hospitality and warm personality. Highly recommended!

We had a great time here, first and for all because of the wonderful people that run the place. We could turn to them with any problem, they were always super nice and helpful. The guesthouse is very nice, and outside the room it has quite a few places where people can sit down, have a drink, chat or just watch the beautiful night sky. We also liked the swimming pool, which was cleaned every morning, because the closest public beach is quite far away. But after renting a scooter from the host, it was not a problem anymore. Breakfast and dinner was also great, made by the owners themselves.

We had the most fantastic stay here. Everything was perfect - the cozy and comfortable hut, the beautiful grounds, the wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough for you, the kayaks, the great snorkelling off the pier and the sunrises and sunsets drinking beer with other guests in the fare, or on the dock. We loved our time here and would highly recommend this little family owned resort to anyone.

Loved this property. The location is excellent and Poe was friendly and helpful. The kayaks and snorkelling were easy to access and the beach was literally ten metres from the verandah. Private sunbathing, easy access and comfortable spot. I would recommend this to anyone. The highlight for the family was the dog, Choupinette who was the sweetest girl.

We really did not expect such a fantastic accommodation, a beautiful lagoon, a beautiful and kind Erika and other great staff. We had a wonderful view from the bedroom when we woke up and we enjoyed our morning coffee on the terrace. The lagoon is only 50 meters away. We enjoyed it, and Moorea is beautiful too! Definitely recommended!

This place deserves a much higher rating on Booking.

This place deserves a much higher rating on Booking. I would give it 10 out of 5 if I could. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Rigo, the owner's son, picked us up in the pouring rain when we got off the ferry, and throughout our stay, he and his sister, Hermance, shuttled us back and forth to and from the ferry without ever asking for a cent, and always with kindness and professionalism. The whole place is run by their extended family, and they couldn't be sweeter or more welcoming. We felt like part of the family by the time we left. The bungalow itself was as wonderful as the hosts -- immaculately clean, with a comfy bed, efficient air conditioning, tv, and big bathroom with nice clean shower. It is set back from the road on a big plot of land with beautiful views from the bungalow's windows and a nice big porch with table and chairs. It is right across from a resort where we could eat, swim, and even enjoy a great show, and just fifteen minutes from the ferry terminal. Our hosts live right on the property so they were easy to contact and always ready to help with anything we needed. We were even able to rent a car through them. I can't recommend this wonderful place highly enough. I was truly sorry to have to leave. I can't wait to go back!!

The scenery was spectacular. The people were very friendly. The beach was excellent. It was great to be able to lay under a palm tree for shade. A car is strongly recommend. It is easy to drive around the island, the roads are perfect. The island is very quiet, except for the roosters which add a fabulous authenticity to the island experience.

Location is a long way from the airport and port, so best to rent a car to get around as no bus service. Hot and humid in January so not so easy to walk far. Many people were enjoying lagoon activities.

Beautiful rustic setting, close to gorgeous beaches, friendly people. Great if you like water sports - kayak, jetski, snorkeling, diving, swimming, just lounging in the clear warm water! You will need a rental car to get around no matter where you stay - no uber. You can drive around the whole island in about an hour. A great tour to take from Albert Tours is the snorkeling with sharks & rays. It includes a nice lunch.

I loved the location and the serenity of it, I loved to sit on the benches on the bay and read. Allo pizza food amazing. You need a car here in order to get to the shops and beaches, but I knew this when I booked and was happy. Few nice places in walking distance and supermarket about 15 min walk. This place is great value, and meant the money I saved I spent on car and excursions. I would stay again, as a very family feel, being a single traveller I felt very safe here and looked after

I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House.

I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House. Nick, the owner, is a really nice and attentive guy - looks after his guests as well as the premacy itself & keeps it clean & proper (mind you: not always an easy task in tropical surroundings!). And really helpful are his pick-ups at the ferry port. Those arriving by plane don't have to worry anyway: airport is only a 300(!) metres walk away. What's a superb experience: sitting together with the other guests from all over the world & sometimes having in-depth discussions. On top of it, wonderful Tema'e beach is in walking distance as well (approximately 15 minutes) - be aware of the strong current of the sea, though! For the adventurous types: take an astounding bike ride around Mo'orea (60 km, approx 3-5 hrs ride, depending on personal fitness) - the bike is working now, we repaired it :-))). As for lagoon tours: contact Moorea Miti Tours, excellent! Of course, there have to be (especially in-house) rules (shoes, eating, waste and so on). However, a bit less strictness would even add to a more relaxed atmosphere.

The idea of the Te Orange Hau "lodge" is lovely which is why I booked it. But it does not deliver. It was a sham of what was represented on the website. We stayed in the back one bedroom cottage with the bedroom up some narrow stairs with no light at night. The place was dirty with moldy shower curtain shower. In the morning I wakened to rat poo next to my toothbrush. The bathroom is literally "under the stairs". The kitchenette is hardly that. There was an unworkable electric hot plate, a tiny fridge and we absolutely could not "prepare meals" in that kitchen. Good restaurants are at least 20-25 minutes away from Affareaitu. There are 2 cottages in front. I do not know what they are like but the website combines the best pictures of all of them and presents them as the cottage they are offering. This is dishonest. Moorea is a difficult place to find another place to stay when you are under the gun. Luckily we were able to find something else and only had to stay there for 2 miserable nights. Don't ruin your time on this beautiful island.

Amazing location right on the beach.

Amazing location right on the beach. Perfect size bungalow for our 2 families, 7 total people. People gather at the beach and dock in front of the house because it is the best place to watch sunrise/ sunset. Huge trees in front of the house provide shade. Scubapiti dive center right next door, run by Henry, an excellent guide. Dive boats leave from the dock in front of the house. We also used the tennis court on the property and it was nice. If you are looking for a beach house for a dive vacation, this is the one. Decor is quaint, and simple-- house is rustic rather than modern or stylish. 2 kayaks on site which we used a lot. Restaurants in the area are hit and miss; consider eating at the house as the view is unbeatable. Hostess is friendly.
