I think it's really good value for money & would stay again if I ever come back to Mo'orea. Just one thing not related to Fare Om but be careful as a female solo traveller.. I got harassed by some men a few times mainly around Cooks Bay area. Opunohu Bay is much nicer and I felt safer there. Anyway, the meals Maud prepares if you order them are delicious and great value. Mauruuru roa!

We stayed at the Hilton and Sofitel while on the island but this lodge scored the highest for us on great value and friendly stay.

2 minutes from the most beautiful beach, great for families. The restaurant Chez Irene's up the road was great and only a 5 minute walk.
What we wish we knew: there was a full equipped kitchen but the shops on the island are really expensive. We could have came with more from the main island supermarket and fruit market to make the most of it. There is a nespresso machine so bring pods, laundry but no powder, dishwasher but no soap! If you have some at home, just put a few capsules in your luggage.
There were also lots of games, snorkel masks and tennis racquets to borrow from reception.
Lots of places on the beach to book snorkel tours, scuba and kayaks.
A restaurant overlooking the water 2 minutes down the beach.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Green Lodge Moorea. The lodge is beautifully designed and very well maintained, giving us the feeling of having our own private, full-service retreat. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged.
The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, always making us feel welcome and cared for. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely comfortable and relaxed.
It was a dreamlike experience, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We would absolutely recommend Green Lodge Moorea Lodge and would love to come back again.

We loved the over water bungalow. The glass in the floor made for great "fish TV". Snorkeling off the public dock area was amazing. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Proximity to the grocery store was very useful. The grounds and pool area were very well maintained and beautiful. Dinah, the concierge, was very helpful in organizing a tour and our transport to the ferry. We were able to have an early check in which was appreciated.

Loved this property. The location is excellent and Poe was friendly and helpful. The kayaks and snorkelling were easy to access and the beach was literally ten metres from the verandah. Private sunbathing, easy access and comfortable spot. I would recommend this to anyone. The highlight for the family was the dog, Choupinette who was the sweetest girl.

Beautiful spot with a great view and direct access to the beach. There are some great restaurants within a few minutes drive of the property. Our host Lea was very friendly and helpful and helped us organise a tour last minute. Definitely recommend.

Meghan and Julien are lovely hosts. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The facilities are beautiful and the breakfast was great, for a good price. Very close to lovely hiking trails, which was what we were after.

A beautiful island with super friendly people.
A beautiful island with super friendly people. Very easy to get around- but you do need a hire car. Snorkeling almost anywhere was a bonus but the best patch was definitely Ta'ahiamanu beach, so much fish life plus turtles, moray and sharks - heaven. We can't wait to be back!

The hosts picked us up at the ferry terminal and took us back to it when we needed to leave. The proximity of it was great for shopping, swimming and for all of the tours to pick us up. There were a couple of great eating spots within waking distance. Good value for the large 2 queen size bedroom bungalow -- it allowed us to have money to appreciate a lot more things about this great island.

It is easy to drive around the island, the roads are perfect. The island is very quiet, except for the roosters which add a fabulous authenticity to the island experience.

Location is a long way from the airport and port, so best to rent a car to get around as no bus service. Hot and humid in January so not so easy to walk far.

Beautiful rustic setting, close to gorgeous beaches, friendly people. Great if you like water sports - kayak, jetski, snorkeling, diving, swimming, just lounging in the clear warm water!
You will need a rental car to get around no matter where you stay - no uber. You can drive around the whole island in about an hour. A great tour to take from Albert Tours is the snorkeling with sharks & rays. It includes a nice lunch.

Must get back. A high recommendation is to rent a car or a scooter and drive or ride around the island it really is beautiful.
Love it more than Bora Bora but both are a must to visit

I loved the location and the serenity of it, I loved to sit on the benches on the bay and read. Allo pizza food amazing. You need a car here in order to get to the shops and beaches, but I knew this when I booked and was happy. Few nice places in walking distance and supermarket about 15 min walk. This place is great value, and meant the money I saved I spent on car and excursions. I would stay again, as a very family feel, being a single traveller I felt very safe here and looked after

I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House.
I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House. Nick, the owner, is a really nice and attentive guy - looks after his guests as well as the premacy itself & keeps it clean & proper (mind you: not always an easy task in tropical surroundings!). And really helpful are his pick-ups at the ferry port. Those arriving by plane don't have to worry anyway: airport is only a 300(!) metres walk away. What's a superb experience: sitting together with the other guests from all over the world & sometimes having in-depth discussions.
On top of it, wonderful Tema'e beach is in walking distance as well (approximately 15 minutes) - be aware of the strong current of the sea, though! For the adventurous types: take an astounding bike ride around Mo'orea (60 km, approx 3-5 hrs ride, depending on personal fitness) - the bike is working now, we repaired it :-))). As for lagoon tours: contact Moorea Miti Tours, excellent! Of course, there have to be (especially in-house) rules (shoes, eating, waste and so on). However, a bit less strictness would even add to a more relaxed atmosphere.

The idea of the Te Orange Hau "lodge" is lovely which is why I booked it. But it does not deliver. It was a sham of what was represented on the website.
We stayed in the back one bedroom cottage with the bedroom up some narrow stairs with no light at night. The place was dirty with moldy shower curtain shower. In the morning I wakened to rat poo next to my toothbrush. The bathroom is literally "under the stairs". The kitchenette is hardly that. There was an unworkable electric hot plate, a tiny fridge and we absolutely could not "prepare meals" in that kitchen. Good restaurants are at least 20-25 minutes away from Affareaitu. There are 2 cottages in front. I do not know what they are like but the website combines the best pictures of all of them and presents them as the cottage they are offering. This is dishonest. Moorea is a difficult place to find another place to stay when you are under the gun. Luckily we were able to find something else and only had to stay there for 2 miserable nights. Don't ruin your time on this beautiful island.

Doris and JP and very kind people. Breakfast was good and the scenery even better. I was lucky to spend time with Doris who does some of the local whale tours, and was an excellent guide! Wish I had the money for a private sailing cruise, but at the time, was cost prohibitive. They encouraged the captain's quarters, a bigger space on the boat. Highly recommend! I was hoping for lagoon water , but the boat is in a bay which is deeper water that was a bit green and not very transparent. Close to a decent beach and main road. A l'Heure du Sud is a fun road side restaurant good inexpensive food, fresh coconut and decent shopping. Went back 3 times. I wanted to like the lilikoi restaurant but parking is on the street , although they could create a parking lot closer to restaurant. I wanted to also like the owners. But they were stand off ish and I didn't even have silverware the second time I tried it. I also tried the beach club expensive food but scenery is right on the water. Over all 3 days was a good amount of time to be on the sail boat. It was not rough, so its a very gentle rock and never got sea sick at night. Very comfortable bed and nice hosts. Highly recommend.
