CroatiaWe stayed at this hotel in El Nido for five days in November as a group of friends and booked two rooms. The rooms were stunning, beautifully furnished, and equipped with modern amenities like a Smeg kettle, Dyson hairdryer, and more. Every day, we received fresh bottled water, which was a lovely touch.
The breakfast was outstanding. Although the menu is fully vegan (and I’m not vegan), the experience exceeded all expectations. There was an impressive selection of pancakes, muesli, smoothies, and more. The staff were incredibly welcoming, especially Sky and Nette, who made our stay truly memorable.
The hotel also offers a free airport transfer service, which worked flawlessly. Hotel is ideally located near the port, where boats depart for boat tours. We booked all our island-hopping tours directly through the hotel, which was extremely convenient. The evening before, we’d select our lunch preference for the boat trip, and the next morning, the guide would pick us up. The hotel even provided complimentary towels for the tours, which we could return later at the reception—a thoughtful and practical service.
The rooftop terrace is breathtaking, with a panoramic view of El Nido Bay. You can enjoy meals there from their restaurant or even order from a nearby Chinese restaurant. With so much to do within the hotel itself—delicious food, incredible views, and even an on-site massage service—we could have easily spent the whole trip just enjoying the amenities.
This was truly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting El Nido. It’s an unforgettable experience!

United KingdomThe staff really make Casa Mario's a wonderful stay. They were all very polite and happy to help, with someone always available at reception. We had to cancel a couple of tours the staff had kindly arranged last minute due to travel delays arriving in Coron and due to illness. The staff were great, replying very quickly through the Booking.com chat and were on hand to answer questions and help us rearrange tours. The staff also helped us arrange shared transfer to Coron airport (250php per person) for our morning flight and arranged a scooter to be dropped off for us. Overall staff were very easy to communicate with and keen to make our stay comfortable.
Our room was also spotless and the daily clean was great.
Location is also really convenient, close to good eateries.
The breakfast area on the terrace is modern and clean although there isn't much of a view. Breakfast is pre-ordered the night before through reception staff and was simple but good.
Overall great value for money and would recommend to other travellers on a budget.

Where to begin....the staff has been simply outstanding: very attemptive, gentle, accommodating, available; in particular I would like to thank and endorse Althea: still on training but already extremely nice, smiling, professional, proactive, ready to satisfy every request of ours, she really contributed to make our getaway simply unforgettable; besides her I'd like to thank also Cris, Annie, Tom, Jonathan, Ron and Elmir for their professionality and kindness.
The room was simply incredible.....lots of wood and greenery as I adore (japanese style), the bed was super comfortable, the living room was wonderful and extremely smart, the bathroom stunning (I really loved the japanese toilet by the way).
The garden was another cornerstone of the room: located in front of the forest, ideal to give you that sense of peace really necessary to relax your mind far from the stress of the town.
The position was excellent: located at 3 minutes walking from the beautiful Lio Beach: amazing landscapes, plenty of nice'n cozy restaurants, absolutely safe and very calm sea, far from the crowded centre of El Nido.
I strongly recommend Piece Lio from Japan, it's really worth staying there, you'll never forget it for sure.

A truly unforgettable stay at Lagen Island 🌴✨
We travelled as a family with two children (12 and 11), and from the moment we arrived, the entire experience was seamless, thoughtful, and genuinely warm.
The door-to-door airport experience was excellent — from pick-up to drop-off, everything was smooth and well organised. The airport lounge in El Nido was also a great touch, allowing us to relax comfortably before departure.
The rooms are of an exceptional standard — beautifully maintained and immaculately clean, with high-end amenities that really elevate the stay. The Dyson hairdryer, Bose sound system, in-room yoga and Pilates equipment, and thoughtful touches like complimentary sandals, hats, and a resort bag made it feel both luxurious and personal.
The dining experience was fantastic throughout — a great variety of food, from delicious pizzas and fresh salads to perfectly cooked fresh fish. The wine selection was also impressive, making evenings especially enjoyable.
The excursions were a real highlight. We joined both the complimentary experiences and a private boat tour with picnic — which was simply wow. The quality of the boat, the food, and the overall service were outstanding. Our kids absolutely loved snorkeling and using the underwater scooter (Subnado), which added an extra layer of fun and adventure.
We also had the chance to visit their sister resort, Pangulasian Island — a beautiful spot and perfect for sunset while the kids enjoyed more snorkeling.
What truly sets Lagen Island apart, however, is the people. The service was impeccable throughout — warm, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond. Every single member of staff we encountered was amazing at every touchpoint.

Our stay at El Nido Resorts Pangulasian was truly unforgettable. Surrounded by stunning nature, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking sunsets, the resort offers the perfect mix of luxury and tranquility.
We stayed in a beautifully decorated and well-equipped beach villa with a stunning sea view.
The food and drink options were excellent, and the choice of activities was fantastic. A highlight was our 4-hour private boat tour, where starting early at 7 AM allowed us to enjoy El Nido’s most beautiful spots in peaceful solitude. We happened to come across a school of about a hundred dolphins who were curious enough to approach all around our boat.
The hospitality was outstanding. Special thanks to Younes, the Food and Beverage Director, who made our stay memorable—just as he did during our honeymoon at Raffles Maldives four years ago. Also, a big thank you to Anton (the waiter), Anton (the guide), and Rei (the experience assistant) for their exceptional service.
El Nido Resorts Pangulasian is a dream destination for anyone seeking luxury, adventure, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!

I don`t know where to begin I don`t know were to end! This was one of the best experiences when it comes to hotels, and we are really travelling a lot. This is the easiest evaluation I`ve ever done, because simply everything was more than perfect. I begin with the staff that was over the top. Friendly, helpful and always with a smile. Supernice to our 3 kids, they really created memories that last. Wonderful rooms with spectacular views, clean, modern, nice. Beautiful bathrooms and showers. Private notes and cookies and bites to the room every day. Minibar, Coffee machine, wonderful balkony. The whole setting within a beautiful botanical garden. Wonderful beach in front of the hotel, spectacular infinity pool diretcly at the beach but just for hotel guests. Superb breakfast, airport pick up, shuttle to beaches. Nice beachbar with delicious food and drinks. Perfect location, quiet. Top! If I could I´d give 20 out of 10 points! Just book it if you want to be happy :-)

From the second we stepped foot in Lio Airport the Cauayan staff took care of everything. We did not have to carry our own baggages until drop off at the end of our stay. Apart from the endless amazing amenities Cauayan offers (snorkeling, kayak, paddling, hiking, gym, etc...) the food & service was just exceptional. I booked a surprise floating dinner for my boyfriend & the staff prepared it with so much love & eye for detail. I was truly amazed. We absolutely loved our stay, the facilities are amazing and the service and staff were so kind and attentive. A special thank you to Marv and Joemart. We felt like we arrived at a 5 star hotel, the staff helped our bags to our room, gave us a welcome drink and cold towels. You also get beach towels and free drinks and snacks in the tent and free beach loungers included! Highly recommend! The aircon tents also were so cool :)

We like the service, staffs are very accommodating and friendly.
Also we love the amenities, from bathtub in our room, different types of outdoor pools (like jacuzzi, kiddie pool, pool with slide) and we went to the sandbar by kayak. We really enjoyed them all.
The facilities are clean and elegant too. Nicely designed lobbies, restaurant, even the toilets.

It was our second stay in this hotel. 2 years ago I had some complaints about the hot water. This was not the case anymore. Everything was perfectly fine and clean. It’s a great concept hotel not so far from Coron port.
Good interior of the rooms. All the details are well thought such as warm welcoming, swimming pool, roof top bar, good massages and tasty food for breakfast and lunch/dinner.
Overall, amazing place!

The bedroom is the perfect size. The bed and pillows are super comfortable and in general everything is very clean and perfectly maintained. The staff is super friendly and it's a very safe place. Also the food was surprisingly good. Very recommended.

I love El Nido but I hope the local government and public...
I love El Nido but I hope the local government and public agencies would take care of the city more. The Sevendo Comando beach is so nice but the back of the small store has all the dirty secrets - the trash are everywhere, it's dirty and not well maintained. I hope the local government put more trash cans and deploy more cleaning staff to make sure its cleanliness is maintained.

Awesome! I like Coron town center at night. It tells more its
wonder when lights defeat the darkness, when music revive tired tourists and when resto bars hypnotize consumers.
Commercial streets are well-organized, clean as Puerto Princesa, finely designed restau gardens, with proper landscapes and enough lightnings.
It feels first world's suburb town. Rows of businesses both sides of the roads are well-respected, where restaurants are not mixed with sarisari stores neither hardware, no street food vendors blocking bar chains, and no street fights or bystanders ' noise. The rhythm of the night is soothing, life suddenly slows down while promising wellness.
The air feels uncontaminated, nothing stinks. Streets at daytime gathers no dusts nor debris. Trees and plants break sun heat.
The night encourages nice chats with like-minded people. No toxicity vibes, smiles draw joy and satisfaction is evident just being in town.
Coron is smaller but lovely.
What else I can say as a visitor 🥰

The city is fantastic, a mix of city and well preserve tourists spots like the underground river and the Sabang river. The love of nature and its will to take care of the island despite being a tourist destination of the world is commendable. PALAWAN is definitely a must go and see. The city is not exploited , the food is very good and the price fear.

Less known area of Palawan.
Less known area of Palawan. San Vicente offers clean beaches with very few people, island-hopping tours and some little hikes for the more adventurous (also accessible by tuktuk).
Great for a quiet holiday at the beach!

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...
If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping.
If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home.
Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February.
To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.

A delightful quiet backwater and so far less developed town. The beaches were beautiful and mostly clean. The town has plenty of activities to offer and places to eat. The whole place is walkable but you may want a Tuktuk or moped to visit further beaches.

If you visit Coron or the proper name 'Busuanga' Island, make sure you get out of the main Coron town and stay around the island. There's a good mix of accomadations to choose from and plenty to explore. You can chat with locals and find much more than the common tourist trips.

I stayed in El Nido for 4 nights which was plenty, I enjoyed wandering around the town at a slow place. I recommend the boat trips, zipline, and canopy walk. There are lots of nice restaurants and bars too

Local people are polite, cheerful and helpful. Easy to get around town by tuktuk, although streets are narrow with no sidewalks. Staff at bacau bay are well trained in service. Staff were attentive to requests and offered assitance readily. The sunset viewing deck and bar was an exceptional experience. There are no accessible beaches around the town of coron, but there are plenty of tours to coron island. The ultimate tour was an amazing experience, especially snorkling in corel reefs, and swimming in pristine lagoons
