We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s very cozy and beautifully designed, with a convenient shared kitchen located right next to the room. The swimming pool was especially refreshing, both during the day and in the evening. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They assisted us with arranging a tour, scooter rental, and transfers, which made everything so easy for us. The breakfast was also lovely. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to come back again.

Our stay was amazing!!! The staff was very kind and always open to meet every request we had. They were helpful in any situations and trying to make our stay as much comfortable as possible. The room was clean and with everything we needed. The structure is nice and clean, with a rooftop restaurant/bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel organises tour which I highly recommend. Our stay at The View Lodges was simply magical! Nestled in the heart of the jungle, the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings made for an unforgettable experience. At night, the sky comes alive with countless stars—truly a sight to behold. The owners are fantastic—friendly, always ready to help, and with a great sense of humor that makes you feel right at home. Communication was seamless, and they went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. The lodge itself is new, spotless, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and a connection to nature. Breakfast - absolutely delicious—the eggs, toast, mushrooms were the perfect start to the day! Nico, thanks for your perfect Banana bread as well! 👌 A short walk away, we discovered one of the best beaches we visited in the Philippines—pristine, quiet, and perfect for relaxation. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in Port Barton with stunning nature, and warm hospitality, The View Lodges is the place to be! Highly recommended.

The most serene beautiful location. Secluded and quiet. This place is a must do for those who like snorkelling or diving. Just off the pier is the most amazing wildlife. As soon as you hit the water you are greeted with a school of jackfish and hundred of tiny tropical fish. The water is so calm and I could have spent all day snorkelling and exploring.

If there is paradise, Pangulasian resort is it!!! We don't want to spoile all the wonderful surprises that are waiting for you in the resort... but must share some of them here: It all starts at the airport, where the resort representative came to greet us and take care of us on our short and pleasant journey to the resort. Upon arrival we had a beautiful welcoming from staff and especially from GM Thomas who made sure every day that our stay is nothing short than perfect! We stayed in a beach villa which was extremely beautiful and comfortable. The resort offers many complimentary activities including, kayaking, snorkeling and island tours that we were lucky enough to have them with Joe - who is an extraordinary guide! The staff were incredible- friendly, caring probably some of the best in the business! We specifically want to note Max who made all our dinners and breakfasts exceptional with her charming personality and smile. Also special thanks to Mike (food and beverages direcor), Ford and Amor (who managed and maintained our villa), Randy (the talented singer who made our dinners unforgettable) and all other staff for their exceptional service. The food and drink options were excellent and we loved that the resort believes eco friendly but yet manages to deliver top notch luxury!! El Nido Pangulasian resort is definitely a unique place for vacation for anyone seeking adventure, private, luxurious and natural beauty!!! We will definitely prioritize returning to this amazing resort!!!

We have to say we were absolutely amazed and extremely impressed from the very first moment we arrived. As soon as we stepped in, a five-member staff welcomed us with a beautiful live song. Then we were transferred to the island by a brand-new private luxury boat. The crew played music for us, everyone was smiling, and we felt truly special from the beginning. Upon arrival, the entire team welcomed us warmly and immediately took care of us like royalty. Everything was new, perfectly clean, beautiful, and simply flawless. And I can confidently say this because we travel frequently and stay in many luxury properties — we know how to compare. Our overwater villa was perfect. The large floor-to-ceiling window allowed us to lie in bed while listening to nothing but the sound of the waves. It is absolutely ideal for couples who want privacy, peace, and time just for each other. The restaurant was excellent — every dish was delicious, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. When it was time to leave, we were honestly close to tears. The team gathered again to sing a farewell song for us, and as we were already seated on the boat, the entire staff — around ten people — stood there waving goodbye until we disappeared from sight. We can only highly recommend this place. Yes, it is more expensive, but it is truly worth every penny. It is not just accommodation — it is a lifetime experience.

Nacpan Beach Glamping was incredible. Right on the beach in the most beautiful coconut grove. It felt like the Garden of Eden! Wonderful private pool if you want to take a break from the beach. The tents were air conditioned, had electricity, and great internet signal. Beds were comfortable and the pillows were top notch. The location is excellent… to the left of the property you have a few other small hostels down the beach but to the right it is purely unadulterated nature… beach…. Palm groves, mountain. You can walk the beach for about 30 minutes to the end and all you will find is a family with a coconut stand: bring a few pesos and enjoy a cold coconut, soda, beer, and conversation. The included breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit, juice, Filipino breakfast, and western breakfast options. The staff was incredibly helpful-‘big thanks to Daniel at the front desk and Stephan the security officer for their above and beyond care. … oh also… Nacpan Glamping is also a sea turtle sanctuary!!! If timing is right you’ll be able to see baby sea turtles released back into the wild! Don’t think twice … book now !

The township of El Nido is pretty disgusting.

The township of El Nido is pretty disgusting. Rubbish everywhere, pot holes galore on the road..l noted lots of rabies centres for people that sustain bites from the feral dogs. Over priced for what it is. Many come once never to return. Get out of the town a bit…lots of beautiful places nearby, just get out of the main town.

Coron was amazing.

Coron was amazing. I wish we spent a few more nights there to do more excursions. For those who love to dive, scuba or snorkel, Coron has many places to go to. Just choose an excursion the suits your needs. I just wish that they would fix their roads and clean up the lagoons. When we went Coron, on a couple of our excursions, we noticed a lot of trash in the water. With so many tourists going there, their government should focus on fixing these things.

PPS is where you land.

PPS is where you land. There are beaches, caves, jungle and firefly tours, diving, cultural exhibits, the Crocodile Farm and other sites within a few miles. Taking the van to El Nido is must once you are on the island. The streets are VERY busy, especially in mornings and evenings, not for timid drivers. It is a developing area, but SM Mall and Robinson Mall are first world. Lots of poor cinder block, rusty rooves, woven thatch construction on the back streets everywhere in Philippines. Lots of oceans, beaches, jungle and mountains but not that many bugs. Friendly locals, good food to be had many places. No "walking street".

The nature is outstanding.

The nature is outstanding. The village infrastructure is primitive. Port Barton not worth visit...waste of time...hardcore hippies only. El Nido island hopping is exceptional. Long Beach San Vincente beach and village is underdeveloped with no tourist infrastructure/ nightlife...nothing. Beach empty despite being beautiful. Its the sand flies...brutal/unbearable....all day. I dont particularly like lathering up with bug spray every time I set foot outside. Aerial spraying? Im not sure the solution. For the moneyed up, find a resort and skip the backpacker crowd.

Not much going on in the village.

Not much going on in the village. Underground river was average compared to other cave tours around the world. Beach is not as spectacular as elsewhere in Palawan. Sand flies on the beach are bad. Sabang is quite far from everywhere else with a very swervy and poorly maintained road. If you want a bit of a trek - the local waterfall was nice.

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed...

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weather

The actual town of Coron doesn’t really seem to have a beach, per se, but it is the base for some incredible adventures. 4 adults in our 30s and 40s, and two tweens all really enjoyed our stay. Our group was big enough to justify a private island hopping tour, which was absolutely incredible. I would’ve loved to stay longer at one of the resorts. It looked like there were some incredible places. Lagoons and caves were great, Kayangan lake really stole the show for us, I could go back there many more times. The coral garden had beautiful snorkeling. We didn’t get to go on any of the more far flung tours, but I’m sure it would be fun to explore.
