The view from the entrance/reception area is out of this world. The architecture and design of the hotel is spectacular, and we love how they have woven in local stories and used local artists and tradesmen. The staff are so so friendly and only want to make your stay perfect. The grounds are stunning and the beach is paradise.

Everything is modern and brand new facilities, very clean, and nice vibe in every corner. The view of the beach from our room is breathtaking. Our room has a jacuzzi as we got upgraded, and it was the highlight of our Bohol trip. Truly a dream place and the price is worth it. Right next to the beautiful alona beach. And lastly, the hotel staff are really nice and definitely five star service from them.

Rooms were super quiet and huge, nicely designed, the aircon was located in a way that it doesn't blow directly in your face and super silent too, water pressure in the shower was great, pool area was super nice and maintained well (first pool after 2 weeks in the Philippines where I really liked to jump in), breakfast was ok, restaurant was also very good.

I recommend this stay from the bottom of my heart. We originally planned to stay for just two nights, but ended up staying for around 20 days - it became one of the most comfortable stays during our long trip through Asia. The place is fantastic. The rooms are new, very comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Everything feels well-planned and high quality. There’s also a very comfortable workstation in the rooms, which is perfect for remote work. The internet connection is flawless - I worked daily without any issues. Even the water pressure in the shower is excellent, which is surprisingly rare in many places. On top of that, the hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We were greeted with smiles every day, which made coming back to the hotel even more enjoyable. The neighbors are also very kind, and the surroundings are peaceful, rural, and relaxing. Breakfast is really tasty - you absolutely have to try the Chicken Ticino! It’s so good that I’m already planning to learn how to cook it when I get back home. Overall, I truly appreciate this stay. It gave us the chance to recharge and fully enjoy the beauty of the Philippines.

Beautiful little place, very clean and newly renovated rooms in the best location on Alona beach. It's away from the noise but super close to the main street and the beach. The best part is the people, always there to help, waiting for you with a smile on their face. Bellevue resort is absolutely gorgeous, the facilities are top notch, from the reception, the restaurant the rooms the common bathrooms, the gardens, the beach everything is spotlessly clean. Talk about aesthetic places this is one of them.The staff is amazing always smiling and ready to help.I misplaced my phone by the beach and they did their best to help me find it which I did. The breakfast spread is really good and has many options. One of the best beaches I have ever seen. Loved the daily turn down services too they would give us a box of snacks every evening. Loved the Welcome necklace that they give you by the entrance . The attention to detail is amazing. They also have games and a fire shows during some evenings. I would stay here over and over again.

This was our second time visiting Amarela to celebrate our honeymoon, we spent 10 days here. The staff were amazing, beyond the beautiful surrounds - private beach, pool and art museum. We are most happy with the staff, they bent over backwards to ensure we could enjoy vegan meals and we are so grateful! What we enjoyed during our stay was the peace and quiet and spending our time in the beautiful spaces that the staff continuously maintain. We will always come back to Amarela whenever we visit the Philippines!

Glad we didn't miss out on this cozy place and the epic team running it! It was clean and comfy yet with Filipino character. The food was wonderfully prepared too. Do study the breakfast eggplant omelet! Special thanks to the guy named Han for being so very cheerful every day ;) Location is away from the touristy bit, so rent a scooter and this will be your perfect base to explore from.

Comfy bed/pillows Nice outdoor bath and pool view For the price, it’s a good location as although not near beach, the free shuttles allow easy access. Or pay £200 a night to be on beach or a dirty hostel.

During our stay, the beach in Panglao wasn’t as clean or as...

During our stay, the beach in Panglao wasn’t as clean or as pretty as the photos made it look—there was a lot of seaweed. But if you went a bit deeper into the water, it got super clear. The Virgin Island and the other islands we visited on our island hopping tour were absolutely beautiful though—crystal clear and amazing.

Tarsier Manmade forest The Oceanica Resort (beach) our favorite place..and nice to chill and to swim and the food are good too in there restaurant and they have lots of choices in their menu. Where we eat also in the restaurant of our hotel which is Alona by Jpark Island Resort for convenient and easier for us.

The island has definitely become busier since we last...

The island has definitely become busier since we last visited but in a good way. A lot of good restaurants, from local to international, local transport, tricycle or tuktuk, are everywhere but the rates does not seem regulated. You need to ask the driver for the cost before getting in. Nonetheless, the water in Panglao Island is still pristine turquoise in color and clean.

The advantage of being self-catering is that you can get European bread and sausages. As well good foreign Restaurants. Except for the area in Alona, ​​riding a motorcycle is very safe. Snorkeling and diving in Balicasag and Napaling Reef nice. Bohol daily trips anyway

A few days is just right.

A few days is just right. I came from Boracay , and the beaches just don't compare. Alona beach is small , and on one side is mostly diving centers. The nature on Bohol was great. Loboc river cruise, Tarsian Sanctuary, Water falls , Chocolate Hills. Be aware the most tours start early in the morning around 7.00a.m . Not many things to do later in the day.

Really recommend Bohol Farm!

Really recommend Bohol Farm! Their ice cream is incredible, and the food is great too. We got a tour of the farm, which was super nice. Getting around is quite easy, there are three main road that go around the island, and there are tuktuks for hire everywhere. I rented a moped, which actually felt quite safe, as there were few big cars. Alona beach is definitely worth a visit. I'd recommend doing a countryside tour too, to see a lot of the sights of Bohol in one day.
