From the moment we arrived the team at Epic Suites treated us amazingly. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We loved the rescue dogs and cats that are so lovingly cared for. Whilst everyone was amazing a special thanks to Adryan for his fantastic cocktails and the laughs on our fishing adventure. To Lai for her help booking us into the most amazing day tours and Dawn in the restaurant for her lovely service. Everyone really went above and beyond our expectations and we can’t talk highly enough about how wonderful our stay was. The accommodation was so luxe and we loved the outlook from our pool. We can’t wait to come back next Nov with the family.

The staff really made my stay. They were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Although the hotel had only just reopened and some minor things did not run smoothly, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It’s quiet and away from the main towns, which makes it very peaceful. Getting a tuk tuk or Grab into the town was also quick and easy. It is also very good value! I would highly recommend staying here.

Villa de Gloria opened 10 years ago. The owners, Ernie and Gloria, have turned what was once a jungle patch of land into a garden of Eden. You can see that Ernie has a real passion for gardening. We stayed in the cute bungalows by the sea and even had hummingbirds visit our front porch. There is a stairway that takes you down to the water, a small bamboo chill-out area, and a platform to snorkel from. You can also rent kayaks or SUP boards from them. There are also two swings hanging from the cliff that you can use during low tide. Ernie and his wife are very accommodating. My girlfriend was very sick when we arrived, and they took us to the hospital and helped us check in. Ernie has traveled a lot, has a broad worldview, and we had many interesting conversations with him. We would be glad to come back someday.

The whole experience was spot on from start to finish. The facilities are excellent and clearly well thought through, especially if you’re there for fitness and recovery. Everything was clean, modern and properly maintained. The setting itself is great, quiet and relaxing, but still easy to get to. The staff really made it though, friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure you have a good stay rather than just going through the motions.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at the Beachside Cozy House Staycation. The comfort was top-notch the air conditioning cooled the place down in no time, and the check-in process was a breeze. What made it even better was the perfect location—so close to supermarkets, famous beaches, a nd Panglao’s top tourist spots. We also enjoyed the swimming pool during our stay. The host was fantastic—super responsive and helpful, which was invaluable for us as first-time visitors to Bohol. I’ll absolutely be suggesting this to my friends and colleagues!

The advantage of being self-catering is that you can get European bread and sausages. As well good foreign Restaurants. Except for the area in Alona, ​​riding a motorcycle is very safe. Snorkeling and diving in Balicasag and Napaling Reef nice. Bohol daily trips anyway

Really recommend Bohol Farm!

Really recommend Bohol Farm! Their ice cream is incredible, and the food is great too. We got a tour of the farm, which was super nice. Getting around is quite easy, there are three main road that go around the island, and there are tuktuks for hire everywhere. I rented a moped, which actually felt quite safe, as there were few big cars. Alona beach is definitely worth a visit. I'd recommend doing a countryside tour too, to see a lot of the sights of Bohol in one day.

You can get enough of the non-oceanic tourist attractions in...

You can get enough of the non-oceanic tourist attractions in 2 days. The snorkeling is why I love it. You need to go to a Marine Sanctuary for the good snorkeling, although a few resorts have decent house reefs. DON'T go on one of the snorkeling/island hopping tours which are promoted at many places, especially by hawkers at Alona Beach. None of the boat motors have mufflers. They will leave you at a substandard restaurant on Balicasag Island for an outrageous length of time. Tag along on a dive boat, which you can arrange at most dive shops.

The Mayanas Resort was our last accomodation in the Philippines and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful, they organized more trips for us which was great. The room was quite big and very clean. Also, the food in the restaurant was amazing, we came back hungry almost every evening just so we can eat at the hotel :D. The pool was always clean, we enjoyed using it in the evenings. Although the hotel is a little far away from Alona beach, but you rent a scooter at the hotel and so everything is accessible in 15 minutes around.

The room was nice and spacious, tv and bed were good. It definitely has potential it just needs work done to it. However, the water wasn’t very warm and it starting smelling everytime I turned the shower on, there were mosquitoes flying all around the hotel and the aircon seemed to be blowing dust around and it made me ill. I know this place has only just reopened and there is work needing to be done. However that’s exactly how it felt, as if the room had been left for ages without any upgrades or adequate cleaning.

The sunset from the beach right by the hotel was stunning. I got myself this room as a treat after two weeks slumming it in some questionable hostels! It was nice to have a private room. The lunchtime menu was good. There were a couple of plant-based options and I was able to take a meal away as takeout for my journey when I left.

The host was very helpful. She picked us up from the airport waiting delays. The hotel was amazing to stay, and breakfast was excellent. The pool is clean and nice. It's a very calm place to stay with the family. It's only 200 pesos to Alona beach ⛱️

this is a nice and clean little hotel, bright room, comfy bed, pool right next to the room. not big variety for breakfast, but the food is good, you have to fill up the form for breakfast one day in advance
