From the moment we arrived the team at Epic Suites treated us amazingly. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We loved the rescue dogs and cats that are so lovingly cared for. Whilst everyone was amazing a special thanks to Adryan for his fantastic cocktails and the laughs on our fishing adventure. To Lai for her help booking us into the most amazing day tours and Dawn in the restaurant for her lovely service. Everyone really went above and beyond our expectations and we can’t talk highly enough about how wonderful our stay was. The accommodation was so luxe and we loved the outlook from our pool. We can’t wait to come back next Nov with the family.

The staff really made my stay. They were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Although the hotel had only just reopened and some minor things did not run smoothly, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It’s quiet and away from the main towns, which makes it very peaceful. Getting a tuk tuk or Grab into the town was also quick and easy. It is also very good value! I would highly recommend staying here.

Villa de Gloria opened 10 years ago. The owners, Ernie and Gloria, have turned what was once a jungle patch of land into a garden of Eden. You can see that Ernie has a real passion for gardening. We stayed in the cute bungalows by the sea and even had hummingbirds visit our front porch. There is a stairway that takes you down to the water, a small bamboo chill-out area, and a platform to snorkel from. You can also rent kayaks or SUP boards from them. There are also two swings hanging from the cliff that you can use during low tide. Ernie and his wife are very accommodating. My girlfriend was very sick when we arrived, and they took us to the hospital and helped us check in. Ernie has traveled a lot, has a broad worldview, and we had many interesting conversations with him. We would be glad to come back someday.

The whole experience was spot on from start to finish. The facilities are excellent and clearly well thought through, especially if you’re there for fitness and recovery. Everything was clean, modern and properly maintained. The setting itself is great, quiet and relaxing, but still easy to get to. The staff really made it though, friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure you have a good stay rather than just going through the motions.

The advantage of being self-catering is that you can get European bread and sausages. As well good foreign Restaurants. Except for the area in Alona, riding a motorcycle is very safe. Snorkeling and diving in Balicasag and Napaling Reef nice. Bohol daily trips anyway

Really recommend Bohol Farm!

Really recommend Bohol Farm! Their ice cream is incredible, and the food is great too. We got a tour of the farm, which was super nice. Getting around is quite easy, there are three main road that go around the island, and there are tuktuks for hire everywhere. I rented a moped, which actually felt quite safe, as there were few big cars. Alona beach is definitely worth a visit. I'd recommend doing a countryside tour too, to see a lot of the sights of Bohol in one day.

You can get enough of the non-oceanic tourist attractions in...

You can get enough of the non-oceanic tourist attractions in 2 days. The snorkeling is why I love it. You need to go to a Marine Sanctuary for the good snorkeling, although a few resorts have decent house reefs. DON'T go on one of the snorkeling/island hopping tours which are promoted at many places, especially by hawkers at Alona Beach. None of the boat motors have mufflers. They will leave you at a substandard restaurant on Balicasag Island for an outrageous length of time. Tag along on a dive boat, which you can arrange at most dive shops.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay at Casa Mia. We particularly liked the quiet (but convenient) location, friendly service and quality add-ons: Starting each morning with a hearty homemade breakfast fuelled us for our days exploring Bohol. We were able to arrange bike hire and taxi services through the accommodation at competitive prices. Mia quickly and carefully dealt with a significant pile of laundry on day one.

We were in Panglao to attend a wedding and the staff at aqua horizon was amazing! So supportive in satisfying all our requests and providing support when needed. Communication was great. The apartment itself is modern and clean. Away from the chaos of alona beach. We enjoyed being a bit further away from the street since it gave us time to relax. The view from the rooftop is stunning.

Friendly staff, but the location is horrible. Impossible to sleep between karaokes all night, people swimming in the pool during the night and talking loudly when it is forbidden, dogs barking, roosters singing... if you have activities in the morning or you want to sleep , don’t book this hotel. There was an electricity problem, we stayed 2 hours without electricity in the evening.

Bohol Island Stay is a very cute little spot. It was a perfect place for us to crash each night as we went out exploring each day. The staff were really friendly and sorted us out with hiring a motorbike as soon as we arrived. The accomodation is quite basic but it’s super affordable and a great choice if you’re only visiting Bohol for a couple of days of action packed few days.
