United StatesThis hotel was great. We loved how comfortable and clean the room was. We organized a private full day tour with the hotel. Our guide was so friendly and made the tour memorable. I think you could find the tours cheaper outside of the hotel, but ours was so much fun. The restaurant was amazing, they really have everything in their buffet breakfast selection. The a la carte menu was even better, the Filipino food was so tasty. The hotel is in a great location and near a busy boardwalk that comes alive at night.

NetherlandsThis is a very beautiful hotel. Large, clean rooms, balcony is the same size, as a room, ocean view, has a big pool, a bar and a restaurant with a huge variety of dishes.
The staff were super friendly, always helpful.
Good place to snorkel, lots of fish and turtles.
We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to be back soon.

Panglao exceeded my expectations.
Panglao exceeded my expectations. It's the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and the Filipino hospitality made the trip even better.
Beaches: The white sand and turquoise water are beautiful. Alona Beach is lively, with restaurants, bars and sunset views, while quieter spots are perfect if you want to unwind. Go early in the morning for the calmest water and the fewest people.
Food: Fresh seafood, grilled fish and local Filipino dishes at very reasonable prices. Try the fresh mango and the local specialities. Most restaurants accept cards, but it's worth carrying cash anyway.
Snorkelling: Balicasag Island was a highlight. The coral is lovely, the marine life is rich, and we saw plenty of colourful fish and even sea turtles.
ATV adventure: Muddy, bumpy and a lot of fun. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and bring cash for the entrance fees.
Chocolate Hills: The view is worth the climb up to the viewpoint. Go early or late to avoid the heat and the crowds.
Cave swimming: Hinagdanan Cave was a great surprise. Swimming in the cool, clear water inside the cave was a unique experience.
Other highlights: The Loboc River cruise with lunch, the tarsier sanctuary (please keep your distance and no flash), and the Bohol countryside tour were all memorable.
Tips: Bring cash, sunscreen, a hat and reef-safe products. Booking tours through your accommodation can save you time and money.
Overall: A trip full of beautiful scenery, exciting activities and kind people. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The chocolate hills are truly amazing, no wonder it is ranked 9th wonder of the world. The 7 km man made forest is beautiful. It will be nice if those trees are well protected and preserved, The mirror of the world is a plus, In a day, we were able to see the important landmarks of New York, Neitherland, Japan, Cambodia, Paris, etc.
The floating resto was excellent. I enjoyed the cruise to the Loay River and the Ati -atihan tribe.
We enjoyed the Bohol trip!

Easy to locate on google map and easy to go around the town. Very nice beaches especially Quinale beach.You càn buy food and drinks at the Food park or at the town center at an affordable cost. There's also a nearby Catholic church if you plan to attend mass on a Sunday, and a 7-11 store for food, grocery and personal care items. People are nice and friendly.

We had planned to do river trips but instead just did our own paddling on the river. The river isnt particularly special and it seems there are limitations to the trips (e.g. frequently you cant swim at the falls).
It does have a strong current so be careful when in the water. The hotel provides a guide in case of difficulty.
BTW: The Tarsier "sanctuary" was a massive disappointment. Just a photo op. Chocolate Hills platform gives a lovely view, but an hour is enough.
We did these on the way to the hotel, so saved a day trip.

Jagna is a small port city/town, much like many others around the Philippines.
Paseo Del Mar Resort is very close to the Port and is a very welcoming 'basic' backpacker type resort.
We will come again to stay should we come to Bohol.
One interpretation of my previous review has been misunderstood as negative.
Was everything perfect? Is life perfect? I rest my case.
I restate we were very happy with our stay.

Eight Breeze Hotel is ideal for a couple traveler. Its restaurant served an above average delicious Filipino food, Pinakbet was my favourite dish. Across the road is a restobar entertaining guests with their accoustics. An early morning walk to Baclayon Church is a must for able bodied guests,

I Would prefer to stay in Pnaglaw or El Nido next time in Philippine.
In general I didn’t notice any efforts to promote tourism to Philippine.
Still Thailand get the number 1 destination in my opinion.

The island is great and it is relatively clean as opposed other places I have visited within the Philippines. People are nice and the overall vibe is very relaxing. Alona beach is definitely the spot if you want the most amount of options when it comes to dining, bars, and social activities.

There is really not much to do in Tagbilaran, only a statue, two churches and a square. It can be seen in an hour (and a half). Clubs, bars and restaurants have moved from Tagbilaran to Panglao - because that is where the most tourists are.
If you want raw real Filippino life and people looking at you in surprise because you are there, go to Tagbilaran City, but leave your valuables in the hotel.
