High ceiling in the room, extreme large bed and very comfy huge pillow! Must the basement where the origin story of the monastery is told!

Rinoterra Minho is a wonderful place in all means: the location is perfect, the staff is professional and kind, the rooms are well planned and furnished. The place is very green and beautiful. The breakfasts and dinners are delicious. Highly recommend!👍

The staff was really polite and accommodating. We showed up a bit early and they just started pouring us champagne and feeding us until our room was cleaned and ready. Breakfast was nice, and the pool was the perfect temp.

Don’t be fooled by the 2 star rating. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that weren’t as impressive. The complimentary glass of White Port on arrival set the tone for things to come. The property has been freshly renovated and has a very modern and stylish aesthetic. Everything was spotless. The staff and owner were all fantastic, lovely to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast and check-in/out times are very generous. You don’t need to be up at 8am when you’re supposed to be on holiday! Location was perfect, in the historic district of Porto, practically beside the Douro. None of the major landmarks or quality restaurants that we visited required more than a 20 minute walk. The staff had some helpful suggestions of dining options and bars. Many great bars and restaurants are within just 5-10 minutes. The breakfast buffet at the hotel had great variety to suit any taste, with hot and cold options, fresh fruit and pastries. I think we benefited from an introductory price as the property was new to Booking.com, but would gladly return at the very reasonable full rate for the quality of experience (this is not a paid endorsement!). We enjoyed a week in the top floor duplex suite and the space and balcony were fantastic. I would absolutely recommend Ribeira Douro to any couples looking for a boutique hotel delight in Porto.

From the moment we arrived Ventozelo exceeded our expectations. We loved it all. The service was by far the best we’ve ever received even compared to a 5*. The restaurant on site had amazing food, the entire property and even our “no view” room has breathtaking views, the place was immaculate. We really loved everything about staying here.

As its slogan says it, exceptional! Wonderful views, the hotel is very nicely designed, the staff very friendly and accommodating. They had been open for only 2 weeks when we went and everything was already running smoothly. The pool is the highlight, with views of the river and the hills

This is the kind of hotel where you feel like royalty. The staff goes above and beyond to serve you. All is perfectly clean and well looked after. For example, we had a very late arrival due to airtraffic delay. We called to inform we would be later than indicated. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed, but the staff had foreseen a cold dinner in our room (which was vast by the way). That was so welcome after a long flight day and living on airport food. They did not charge it, it was fully complimentary! We very much appreciated that service! The pool is great! We were there in March, did not expect to find the pool open yet, but it was. The weather was extremely nice, sunny and warm, so many chose to swim and enjoy the sunshine and still there were enough beds by the pool. It's not like in those all-in resorts where people put their towel on the bed in the morning to reserve a spot. The breakfast area is also supernice. You can eat inside when chilly, or on the porch in the open air in the morning sun, or in the garden itself. The food itself offered anything you can think of, lots of healthy choices too.

My wife and I stayed in Albatroz for our honeymoon. It is hard to explain how beautiful and perfect everything was. From kindness of the staff, the food, the beautiful nature and beautiful resort facilities it is hard to point out the best thing. Hotel is amazingly quiet, despite being close to the airport. Both pools are great, and the view from the cliffs is unreal. The restaurant is top notch, and they serve variety of local dishes and amazing fresh fish. Internet was great, and all amenities as well. We will definitely visit again and we hope soon.
