It was my favorite hotel on my trip. Room are huge, high ceilings, corridors with antique furniture, lovely restaurant with good selection of food and drinks. Very good location in heart of Asuncion. Top floor with pool.

Climate change is real in Paraguay so summer months can be too hot. Railway museum is interesting. Excellent well-established restaurant, Lido Bar, has a big menu including traditional Paraguayan food with at least two locations; they also have a free charging station for phones with individual lock boxes.

Fernando De La Mora is a big area.

Fernando De La Mora is a big area. How you enjoy your stay will depend on your location and budget. Fernando Zona Norte cerca Shopping Multiplaza is great location: Lots of restaurants, great Smart Fit Gym and plenty of shopping. I can totally recommend 'Hostel Taguato' for a beautiful stay in this area. The owner of Taguato also has another great Hotel in Recoleta, which is also close to shopping Multiplaza. Fernando Zona Sur is a little more 'Picante' or 'Marginal' as they would say. It's fine during the day but at night take care. Also, crossing Avenida Defensores Del Chaco is dangerous day or night, so please be careful. I can recommend 'Nueva Alborada' boarding house if you want budget B&B style accommodation in this area that is safe and secure. However you might find the dining options around there somewhat limited. Just make sure your head is on a swivel when you are out at night in Fernando Zona sur.

Limpio seems a poor area for the first sight.

Limpio seems a poor area for the first sight. But the area around our stay is quite safe and relaxing. We liked there is no supermarket or big building but wild nature and non-capitalism lifestyle. So keep in mind that you need to bring cash with you ,there is no place to pay with card and no ATM to withdraw money. You need a car to get there for sure.

The heart of South America with very friendly people,...

The heart of South America with very friendly people, delicious traditional food like sopa Paraguaya (not soup) and chipa are staples of their traditional cuisine! Overlooked in most cases Asuncion, like the country itself has many hidden gems ready to be discovered. The city of Asuncion is a green garden in part due to its lush vegetation. Two days here is more than enough to get an overall feel of the city. The international airport is not that far away from the city center either.

Uber and bolt rides from airport cost half than taxis. Walking distances in city center but mind side walks are irregulars. Siesta time quieter than other hours. Overall 2 full days enough for a basic city trip including shopping in Lomas area.
