Wonderful stay in a wonderful boutique hotel. The service was impeccable, the breakfast delicious (with fresh chipas provided on request). We felt completely relaxed in this little oasis in Asuncion.

In short it is in fact one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, stylish, elegant superbly furnished and with lush trees in the garden, a nice pool and everything made in a kind of history way and with proper service both for dinner and at breakfast one could NOT ask for more. They surely do Paraguay proud in my view and this is a fact!

It has two centers.

It has two centers. The old Center is a bit run down but has a lot of history the new center around a Villa Morra mora is more up to date and commercial with plenty of restaurants. Nice weather but can be hot in January. Friendly people. Feels very safe to walk around even at night. Uber and Bolt are cheap for getting around.

Climate change is real in Paraguay so summer months can be too hot. Railway museum is interesting. Excellent well-established restaurant, Lido Bar, has a big menu including traditional Paraguayan food with at least two locations; they also have a free charging station for phones with individual lock boxes.

The heart of South America with very friendly people,...

The heart of South America with very friendly people, delicious traditional food like sopa Paraguaya (not soup) and chipa are staples of their traditional cuisine! Overlooked in most cases Asuncion, like the country itself has many hidden gems ready to be discovered. The city of Asuncion is a green garden in part due to its lush vegetation. Two days here is more than enough to get an overall feel of the city. The international airport is not that far away from the city center either.

Uber and bolt rides from airport cost half than taxis. Walking distances in city center but mind side walks are irregulars. Siesta time quieter than other hours. Overall 2 full days enough for a basic city trip including shopping in Lomas area.

A sprawling city that’s worth a day to explore.

A sprawling city that’s worth a day to explore. The old centre lacks any world class sights, but there’s enough to keep you interested. A lot of it was run down and being redeveloped and downright sketchy in places. Best to stay outside the old town in one of the more modern areas that have eateries and bars. Use a hailing taxi service (Bolt or Uber). They are cheap.

I am planning to stay a few months here but after a week I can tell everyone that this city has a lot to offer, a lot of potential and I do recommend Asuncion . There is public transportation but I always used Bolt. that is like Uber, is safe, unexpensive and quick. There are no too many restaurants and cafeterias in the city center where I am staying, and for sure they need more supermarkets. Palm street is very nice specially during the weekend and holydays. All government buildings are in this area. It is a very old city and many buildings needs complete restauration. There is lot of policemen everywhere and they very polite and they help find any place you are looking for.

The staff certainly know how to look after guests in this historic building. Breakfast is also included in the price and was good with an assortment of fresh fruit. There is a secure roof top veranda at the property (see image attached) and there are local supermarkets nearby. In addition, the River Paraguay is only a five-minute walk. Would highly recommend (and I certainly don't give high scores out willy nilly)

Really cool hotel that is essentially an art gallery with bedrooms mixed in. Check-in was smooth and quick, staff were helpful, bedroom was spacious with nice shower, comfy bed, desk, A/C, kitchenette. Owner is friendly with a sense of humor. Definitely one of the best hotels in the old area of Asuncion. Lovely staff, they also helped with making tour arrangements. There is also a small gym on-site. Their adjoining restaurant is also great. It was great value for money given the quality it provided.

We chose Dazzler primarily for its location. We were in Asuncion for one night, arriving fairly late in the evening and wanted to stay somewhere fairly close to the airport. Overall the hotel is pretty nice. The room was good. Breakfast was very nice.
