"Turda Salt Mine is a great experience for families seeking both adventure and health benefits. As parents, we were initially drawn to the mine's history, but what amazed us was how much our child benefited from the unique environment. The salt-infused air worked well on their respiratory health, creating an unexpectedly positive impact that we hadn't anticipated. By the way, if you are coming for a long time (10 – 14 days) do not forget to buy a season ticket [abonament] for it will save you money and will let to skip the long lines at the entrance. Exploring the mine was like entering a magical underground world. The spacious chambers and the awe-inspiring underground lake kept our child's curiosity piqued throughout the visit. The mine's history came to life through informative displays, making it an educational experience as well. What made our visit even more special were the various activities tailored to families. We were impressed by the Turda Salt Mine's commitment to maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for visitors. The well-maintained facilities, clear signage, and friendly staff made our visit stress-free and enjoyable. The mine's unique combination of history, adventure, and health benefits truly set it apart. As parents, witnessing the positive effects the salt mine had on our child's health was a true blessing. We left Turda not only with cherished memories but also with a sense of gratitude for the health benefits our family experienced. Initially, upon arrival, the room that was booked was dirty the floor had dirt prints, the bathroom was clogged and the air conditioners was not functioning because there was no remote in the room. When I informed the receptionist, they escalated it to the manager and having acknowledged the mistake, was very generous enough to give us a better alternative room and refund the full amount. It is the empathetic and sincere intentions that counted. I loved the surrounding places— it was magnificent! I shall hope to visit that place someday again. The whole team are very polite and professional.

Cluj -Napoca is very dear to my heart as it is my birthplace. It's an amazing city with magnificent churches, lots of patios and restaurants where the food is to die for. The people are very friendly, and almost everyone speaks English. If you have a chance its worth a trip, you won't regret it. The apartment was very clean and very spacious; it had an elevator, which in my case was a must, and a big walk-in shower. A little balcony with a very nice view of the city. The host, Andras, was very helpful and attended to all of our needs. He even sugested places to visit. I would definitely book this apartment in the future.

Salina Turda is gorgeous, it’s the place to visit, but not during the weekend when it’s very crowded and there are ling lines to the elevators. The city is nice, clean, people friendly. The food is good, recommend restaurant Milexim.

Valea Drăganului is a great option for solo travelers who don't drive and want to walk or hike while not being completely isolated. If you take the train to the Valea Drăganului or Poieni train/bus stop, you can walk to the village center in a few kilometers. You'll find corner shops (ABC-uri) and even artisanal gelato in Valea Drăganului.

I always enjoy Cluj, either for the events or just discovering new places. Vibrant city! Enjoy Jazz in the Park festival, have brunch at Eggcenter, take the kids to Steampunk Transylvania or Adrenalin Park.

Very nice place but overrated. Very expensive. Everything is expensive, parking 10lei/hour and if you stay 5 minutes over you will pay the extra hour. Entrance 70 lei/person, way more expensive compared with (now destroyed) Salina Praid.

it is a very beautiful area with many objectives to visit. The dam, old water mill, Bologa fortress, the surrounding hills, the bridal wave waterfall. Stayed at Montana 219. Very nice place and lovely people. We ate once at casa Alesia. it was not a pleasant experience. the food is not to our taste. on the other hand, the mushroom soup was good.(to avoid: pizza quattro formaggi, penne quattro formaggi, rice side dish, baked salmon)

Great college town with lots of events with young people good coffee, shops, art museum, ethnographic museum and churches. 3 day, two night would be good. The Saturday flea market is a must. Live music events, art shows etc.

The salt mine is something that is good to see to understand...

The salt mine is something that is good to see to understand how the salt was extracted in old times. I expected much more. You can find two big underground hols. Elevators is too crowded so we use stairs to go up and down. Elevators are too small and too slow. Poor organization. Souvenirs are nothing special, choice was relay bad.
