The location of the place is in an old pedestrian area, in the city center, filed with restaurants and bars. Although I arrived quite late, the stuff was very friendly and welcomed me to my room. 10/10 – Would move in if they let me! Wow – what a stay! The room was spotless (like, could-eat-off-the-floor clean… though we didn’t test that). The location? Chef’s kiss! Right in the heart of everything – we barely needed Google Maps. The service was incredible – everyone was so helpful and kind, I started wondering if they secretly knew us from somewhere. They even smiled before coffee, which should be an Olympic sport! We had an amazing time both at the hotel and exploring the city. Honestly, we left feeling rested, happy, and already planning our next visit. Huge thanks to the whole team – you guys made us feel like VIPs… or at least VHPs (Very Happy People)!

Staying at Hotel Relax & Ballroom was a great experience, especially with the host's kindness. They were able to arrange a very late check-in around 2 a.m. The hotel entrance is secured by a locked door with an access code after midnight, so you just need to ring to get in. After getting the room card from the reception desk, it was straight to bed. What really made the stay exceptional was that they had left breakfast in the mini-bar for me to enjoy in my room whenever I woke up—a truly five-star touch. It's a top-notch place with warm, kind, and customer-oriented people.

I chose this hotel because it had good reviews, looked nice in the pictures, and was close to the location where the congress I attended took place. The hotel is indeed very good, with excellent value for money. It feels like staying in a nobleman's manor from the 19th century, with beautiful paintings, classic decor, wooden furniture, high ceilings, marble stairs, classic-style chairs and armchairs, and natural colors—all of which help you relax and rebalance emotionally and physically. The pillows, bed, and mattress are of very high quality, so I slept very well. The room has bathrobes and good-quality towels. I really liked the statue, a piece of art in the room, which made me feel like I was back in my childhood. It's very quiet, with no noise. The breakfast caters to the most refined tastes; I enjoyed the coffee, the wide variety of fruits, cheeses, seeds, yogurts, jams, sausages, porridges, and I appreciated that they had both juice and plant-based milk. The bread was delicious. The lady in the restaurant is very attentive and kind, always making sure you have everything you want and constantly replenishing the assortment. Therefore, I confidently recommend this hotel

The staff was very friendly. We had a really bad experience the same day in Craiova in another hotel "MBI Travel Inn". Long story short: We booked that hotel in our original plans unaware of all the problems we encountered. We left that hotel room after no more than five minutes (that's how disgusting that hotel is). It's about 22/23h. We reserve this hotel and got our room immediately. Staff assisted us with parking and our bags, also they were so nice, both at night and in the morning. So they had an amazing and positive impact on us. After such a horrible experience in another hotel their positivity and good work made us feel good and made our day. They totally deserve a raise! About the room: It was amazing. Room 404. Beautiful view. And I mean really beautiful. 😍 Big and comfy bed. Warm, cozy, felt like home. Nice and clean bathroom. This is definitely our choice next time we visit Craiova.

Beautiful and civilized city ,full of classic buildings, clean everywhere and safe, suitable for relax and enjoy the culture. We enjoyed the parks the pedestrian streets, the car drivers behaviour. The only thing i didnt like was the old sovietic type blocks.

The Christmas market is a scam!

The Christmas market is a scam! Buy food at other restaurants, better and bigger portions for less! Ribs House in particular was a great restaurant, very friendly and welcoming with amazing food, must try the Papanași.

Craiova is a beatufil city with a great combination of...

Craiova is a beatufil city with a great combination of modern and old. You can easily find any and all modern amenities - top-notch public transport, shopping centers and malls, exquisite restaurants and fancy hotels. If you have the time to take a stroll through town, you'll be amazed by all the perfectly preserved and renovated old buildings, dozens of cultural monuments and greatly maintained parks and public areas. The main downside is the over-abundance of cars - traffic's a pain! Good thing their public transport is very convenient and the city is very walkable!
